Wonderful lady. Why cant we have people like her in politics instead of the low calibre of politican we have to chose from at the next election. I despair for this country. Hearing such a sensible speech is reassuring so the sensible amongst know the issues. What CAN we do about it because it seems everywhere we turn we are blocked or cancelled

What a wonderful speech! Since her cancellation I have missed reading her articles and hearing her speak on political programmes. If only her clarion call could be heeded but I lack any optimism that this will be the outcome as the Conservative (in name only) Partyself- immolates.
I fear for this country and its fate if the horrifying status quo represented by either a Starmer or Sunak led government is allowed to prevail. If only there were more voices as articulate and persuasive as Melanie’s on the mainstream media but that is a vain hope given the biased, vacuous bilge which is on offer daily in our national press and television outlets.
