  • Quick beginner step workout that's easy to follow, especially for first-time steppers. Great if you're short on time. Anyone can do this step aerobics workout. Warm-up is wrapped into the main workout, then boost metabolism, shape your lower body (butt and thighs), build lean muscle, and get nice and sweaty. Quick power cardio bursts are included in the last few minutes. You can join in on the power bursts, or keep it low impact. (Modified options are cued throughout the entire workout.)
This workout was filmed at 126 bpm. I used a simple beat track in the background in case you want to play your own favorite music as we step together.
Always love to hear from you. Leave me a comment! Always love your feedback! We'll be filming new workouts each week, so be sure to subscribe to my channel so you don't miss out. Thank you for your support, as always!

Just did this workout. I am pretty sedentary and I was able to keep up pretty well and do most steps (albeit not as gracefully). I have made it a goal to take better care of myself and these videos feel like an accessible and non-intimidating approach to building a regular exercise habit.

AND there are two things that make me laugh to myself every time I do this routine ... 1. You say (I forget exactly, but) "I'm feeling strong, how are you feeling?" .. I say to myself "a little overweight, tired, and a bit crap". You say in your video "good!" hahaha! 2. You say "I'm always here for you" and laugh. Of course you're always there for me. You're a TH-cam video!! Makes me chuckle to myself every time!! Thanks Jenny for the workouts :)

What I love about this video: Her voice, her enthusiasm and her image. It's not forced, fake or unnatural. After an ankle injury (fracture), 6 weeks to heal, I struggled to run without pain. This video helped strengthen my foot as well as my knee so I could continue my long distance runs with little issue. Thank you.

How are you doing Ness? I hope u r fully recovered and 100% back to your usual program. I have had foot surgery on both feet within a month. Nd surgery was yesterday…..I am counting the days, 6 weeks so I can get back into workout. This great starting point!

    • @nessetainment
      @nessetainment ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@jenniferbond7073 It's been a year, now... I still use the same 22 minute J.F.F. program just about every other day to keep me limber. I lost 28 pound (2 stone UK measurement) do to running and resistant training (no weights), I can run 10km with no problem. I usually run 25km a week. My advice: Don't push too hard after the 6 weeks but don't ever give up. Take it easy and be proud every day that you are doing a little bit better. Give yourself breaks to rest. Never beat yourself up/punish yourself for what cannot be done... Everything takes time. I wish you all the best. My foot is as strong as ever but the memory will be with me forever.

I used to gym for the lat 20 years and do spin and pump classes and am used to all levels of work. But your workouts are safe, you can step it up by adding hand weights. Hi Jenny. I LOVE this workout. I did one of your 30 minute beginner routines for a while, but then two things happened. 1. Got a calf strain (unrelated to step!) and took some weeks off to heal; during that time 2. My 2.5yo has decided that his naps need not be longer than about 40 mins. 40 mins to do a step routine, shower, eat lunch, clean up .... no chance! At the moment, this shorter routine fits my lifestyle much better. It is still a great workout, I get to shower, I get to eat. So glad I found you Jenny :)

Whew! As much fun as this was, I could not get through the whole thing on the first time. I made it to about 70% though, which I think is great for the first time doing this workout. I did do the cool down at the end.

I love your videos, Jenny!!! I am trying to get back into working out and this is just what i needed. I love the ~20 minute ones for a quick workout a beginner like me can do. Especially with the timer. I am so glad I discovered Jenny Ford! Thank you, Jenny!!!!

Hi Jenny, your my new best friend. I’m 68 soon to be 69 and very unfit. I like many, used to be a step class enthusiast and really enjoyed it. I don’t do resolutions normally, but due to Covid lockdowns and our golf club being closed I stumbled upon your site. I managed to watch the whole beginners workout and loved it. I have retrieved my original step from deep in the cellar, washed the dust of it and positioned it in an ideal place in the cottage ready for an early start tomorrow morning. So watch this space.

Thank you Jenny Ford. Love your work. Haven't done any step for 20 years and your basic step aerobic program for beginners I'm finding is working well for me. Love step, always have.

Just did this specific workout today for the first time (I've done your other beginners ones) and I sweat up a storm! Please keep the beginner ones coming, this is the level I am comfortable at and will be staying here until it no longer feels like a challenge to me ... Just a little tip: maybe make the background music more "catchy" and motivating to help keep us going ;) Other than that, you're perfect at what you do! Thanks!

I used to love to exercise when I was younger and do step aerobics everyday! Now that I am older I am just not motivated anymore but I know I have to get up and move. Thanks for your beginner 20 minute workout, gets me motivated to do more!

I'm out of shape and much too heavy, but although I'm very motivated to do the work, gyms or juggling a small phone while streaming an app, is very inconvenient. So I looked for an aerobics step workout (I've had a steps block for years) on TH-cam to give that a try, and 22 minutes later your video became the very first aerobics workout video I did, Jenny! You've got great energy and style, and I love you already. Looking forward to getting back into shape with your huge variety of workout videos. Thank you, Jenny! :D

Wow this is a really good 'old skool' step workout. I used to do step in my mid 20's, so 30 years ago. And I loved it then. This routine is exactly what I used to do back then. I have to lower my step now, but I've only just started back into it. It was a really good workout and was sweating buckets at the end of it, but so enjoyed it and will keep following this routine

I'm a beginner & have tried many different step workouts on TH-cam. Yours is by far the best I sometimes forget which is my right or left (oooops) , but your positive words really help to keep me going . Most of the channels manage to sound condescending, not you . Thank you 😊

I really like both the length and the format of this workout. Anything past a very basic combo and I get frustrated and end up spending my energy trying to follow the combo instead of enjoying getting my sweat on. I far prefer just cycling through some straight forward but varied moves like this one at a time. Great workout as always, Thanks, Jenny!

Bought a stepper on a whim but was nervous to get back on it, I hadn’t done a step class in more than 15 years but this was accessible but also challenging. The stepper I bought is smaller than the OG one you have, I prefer the bigger one, but the muscle memory started to come back in just my first try. Looking forward to doing more of your videos. Thank you 🥰
