Just today i solved that problem. First you need to open the plastic cover that protects the mechanics of the pedals by unscrewing the pedals and 14 silver screws from the bottom. Then you need to unscrew the pedal and take out the little rubber part that actually makes the pedal so hard. Then you just use a razor or something sharp to make a big hole diagonally in that little rubber piece and voila. You break pedal doesnt feel like shit anymore. You can even take the rubber things out but I dont recommend it.

The G923 is $80 USD more than a G29 so it's dropped quite a bit recently. I was thinking about going for a Thrustmaster T300RS GT but it's up there in price especially with a shifter.
I paid $423 for my g923 with no shifter at Best Buy returned it 2 days later after finding the the same wheel with a shifter on Amazon with the shifter for $299! Just came in and I love it
Its basically the g29/g920 rebranded with barely any improvements at a much harsher price. I may but when the price is reasonable but right now it is definitely a no buy for me.
A Tribe Called Cars yea I hope it does. I was gonna get a g29 as my first wheel but was saddened to know that it won’t be next gen compatible. I was happy to see a next gen come out. But then I saw that they hiked the price way to high (50 quid extra would have been reasonable not 100) i was saddened. However when this thing comes down in price I’ll probably buy it as it’ll be a great deal then.
It is the same "manufacture's suggested retail price" as all the Gforce wheels since they started. And it has a whole new Force Feedback system, that must work very good. Or why would all the best Sims have already implemented it?
@@Howie47 The problem is that the G29 or G920 got as low as £180-odd in the UK. The G923 is £350 in the UK at multiple retailers. Bit of a jump even if part of the problem is Corona affecting manufacturing.

Just buy a t300rs or CSL Elite. They offer upgrade-ability, belt drive, stronger ffb and better build quality for a slightly higher price. The only thing Logitech would baybe be its better reliability(if that carries over to the g923). The CSL will probably also have greater re-sale value.
@@ATribeCalledCars Especially here down under it’s over a $200 gap between the G923 and the T300 with the G923 being $480 AUD and the T300 being over $600
It all depends on price in your area, for me the g923 is $300, t300 is $500 the csl is over $600. If people are comparing the g923 with a t300 then my choice would have to be to get the g923. I would be able to get a shifter and hand brake for less than a t300.
I was a lifelong Logitech fan and used to own a G29 (actually, 3 of them). All developed horrible faults with the geared mechanism. Decided to sell up and go for a Thrustmaster T300 with the upgraded T3-PA Pro pedals and TH-8A shifter instead. Best move I made. The 923 looks good, but I can't see me going back to Logitech...... The T300 is decent especially with the upgraded pedals. Most of the budget pedals are a little rubbish but you can get used to them. As for reliability, I've heard negatives for all companies. Hopefully Logitech at least tried to make amends.
@@ATribeCalledCars, I hope so. They have some good products and the actual rim quality (with the shift lights) is definitely better than the standard T300 rim.
This wheel is currently on offer for £249 reduced from £349, with a honey voucher code even further reduced to £225. As the full price seems to be a sticking point, i believe this at £225 is a a very tempting buy..
Nice review. Wish I had purchased the G29 before the Pandemic for 149 USD. Don’t really have the money for a rig yet so I will just wait for a sale. Also was hoping for more from Logitech like maybe an E Brake.
That's so cheap, not sure we'll see those prices again for a while. An e-brake would be cool, although I love the Thrustmaster one. It's just a bit expensive!
Just remember that the CSL elite wheel is 500 euros for that... a WHEEL... no pedals included, just a wheel and wheelbase (because Fanatec has interchangable wheels) but you get a wheelbase and standard steering wheel that works for pc and ps4, and you have to buy an xbox one wheel seperately if you want one.

Great review, very well laid out 👍👍.. I think you have changed my mind from this to a Thrustmaster T300. Either one will be my first wheel. Is the T300 superior, being belt driven?
In theory maybe a bit but it can slip and I think the Logitech feels more enjoyable to use. Probably better to base it on which ecosystem of products you may later upgrade to and/or whichever is cheaper. Both are decent options.
I moved up from a controller and bought this + the h pattern shifter for around 300€ and ive been very happy, only criticism is about the brake pedal being even too stiff honestly, the wheel is absolutely great but i dont like the clamps since they sometimes pop up
I've not had any issue with the clamps, but then I did end up swapping to the PlaySeat Challenge on a permanent basis. H shifter is what I need to add to my setup!
With the new moza r3 bundle it's really hard to justify this anymore. I finally got a renewed g920 for Christmas after years of wanting to get my feet wet. All it took was one night of using it on forza motorsport and I'm already bitten by the bug. I'll be upgrading to the moza r5 bundle w/ 3rd pedal and h pattern shifter next year. The 920 get the job done though and gives you the experience, however you can tell where the gaps are that a DD base would fill.

@@ATribeCalledCars Yes, I would like that, a G923 vs CSL Elite. I know the CSL Elite is better according to performance and such, but, is it worth the extra money?
Anyone think the G29 pedals are better with a rig though? Because you'll be able to press as hard as you want, as intended without the pedal base slipping across the floor? If I'm correct, the reason for the progressive spring in the brake pedal this time round was due to the consumer feedback from the G29 brake rubber stop pedal. Being the pedal base slipping across floors as a result of having to involve more pressure when applying the brake, due to the rubber stop (which I think with a rig it gives a more realistic breaking experience my theory is) in the G29 model. The progressive spring with the new model just provides a lighter resistance as I can only guess statistically most users have the pedal bases on their floors which means less chance of the pedal base sliding or moving across the floor or carpet or whatever, maybe? Therefore, as I have a rig to securely bolt the pedal base to, I propose maybe using the G29 pedal set with the G923 wheel for a more optimum experience if you have a rig ? Or do you think the progressive spring is just simply better, thoughts please?
You want brake travel, make it too tough or short and you end up with less feedback and a system more like a switch. The newer system is nicer to use and more intuitive in my opinion. It's why the T-LCM pedals are better still - precision usually wins out.
@@ATribeCalledCars Cool, I just brought the G923 so shall happily embrace the progressive spring version, in good haste kind sir as well I may add! Vibratation based symphony. That phrase could have many uses. I’m so far behind in steering wheels. I ‘only’ have the very basic Logitech one that has the lacky band thing in it, it’s rubbish, so I just use controller most of the time. But, for me that’s ok, I race RC cars, so I’m used to that sort of interface.
A Tribe Called Cars there’s a few drivers you might of heard of that did some RC racing before going on to full sized cars, some of them were quite successful too. Pedro De La Rosa was good, I raced against Gordon Shedden before he got his BTCC start. And Lewis Hamilton’s first TV appearance was on Blue Peter driving RC cars. Even Ayrton Senna was into the hobby. I think most of the folks I race with would race full sized cars if they had the budgets. And the talent 😆 But you would be surprised how in depth the setup stuff is in a car 1 10th the size of a full sized car.

The thing with going wireless is that yoi have to consider input lag. Though, if you're worried about input lag, you probably won't be getting these. @@ATribeCalledCars It's straight up price gouging. They are able to capitalize on the fact that their product is in unusually high demand by re-releasing the exact same product with negligible modification at a greatly increased price. I love it, i dont regret buying it or f1 2021, so realistic compared to f1 2020, i love both of them. I strongly recommend it if its your first ffb wheel, its really good

Just came in and I love it
Good review, helped me make up my mind and so far the wheel feels great.
Edit: great is an understatement, it's much much better than a controller
That's great to hear, always good to hear people found my videos useful. And yeah, more immersive than a controller, that's for sure.
My question is though,
*do the LSB and RSB buttons ACTUALLY WORK?*
my 920 has working LSB and RSB in every game ive played, mud runner, AC, F1 2018, IRacing and many more
For me they work on pc only.
Plug into the back of your Xbox one and they do
Aren’t they the buttons u use to mimic you pushing in the thumbsticks?
Its basically the g29/g920 rebranded with barely any improvements at a much harsher price. I may but when the price is reasonable but right now it is definitely a no buy for me.
It's definitely a little pricier than I hoped, but perhaps as things recover it will become more reasonable.
@@ATribeCalledCars There is two things in marketing you need to be aware of. "Supply and demand" and "Manufacture's suggested retail". The later is usually always much higher then actual retail. But if demand goes up, then retailers keep raising the price. Hope that informs you.

Racing games really benefit, if you can afford it and have the space why not!
Just buy a t300rs or CSL Elite. They offer upgrade-ability, belt drive, stronger ffb and better build quality for a slightly higher price. The only thing Logitech would baybe be its better reliability(if that carries over to the g923). The CSL will probably also have greater re-sale value.
Makes sense but in some countries the price gap is really sizable. I should do a comparison between my TS-XW and CSL Elite.
@@ATribeCalledCars Especially here down under it’s over a $200 gap between the G923 and the T300 with the G923 being $480 AUD and the T300 being over $600
Where I stay the thrustmaster is more than double the price.
It all depends on price in your area, for me the g923 is $300, t300 is $500 the csl is over $600. If people are comparing the g923 with a t300 then my choice would have to be to get the g923. I would be able to get a shifter and hand brake for less than a t300.
My buddy never got into the sim racing so now I’m buying this set up off of him . I told him I’ll borrow it and decide if I wanna buy it or not lol
Hope you enjoy, it's a decent start in sim racing!
Sorry.
That's a really good price indeed, worth considering for those who want a good budget wheel.
Where is this available? That sounds great.
I'm probably just going to save another $200 and get the Fanstec CSL Elite.
If you can afford, not a bad shout. I like my wheel a lot and you can always add bits later.
Just remember that the CSL elite wheel is 500 euros for that... a WHEEL... no pedals included, just a wheel and wheelbase (because Fanatec has interchangable wheels) but you get a wheelbase and standard steering wheel that works for pc and ps4, and you have to buy an xbox one wheel seperately if you want one.
when u are buying a ~~cheap~~ wheel then u got 2 options
logitech wheel: takes 15 years to break
thrustmaster: you have to send it to repair the second time you boot it up
just get the csl elite
Actually the CSL Elite pedals can fail too lol. I'm lucky all three brands haven't broken on me yet.

I upgraded from a t80 and love it
Nice, glad you like it.
I moved up from a controller and bought this + the h pattern shifter for around 300€ and ive been very happy, only criticism is about the brake pedal being even too stiff honestly, the wheel is absolutely great but i dont like the clamps since they sometimes pop up
Try changing your brake pedal with the clutch pedal in settings helped me out a lot.
I've not had any issue with the clamps, but then I did end up swapping to the PlaySeat Challenge on a permanent basis. H shifter is what I need to add to my setup!
@@Jesus-qs5cl i need to change the spring inside the pedal i think
U can actually change the breaking in the hub software or in game works perfect for me I have the g920 and drive in ATS/ETS2
I just ordered g923 and h pattern shifter. E brake next. Very excite! Why? Current wheel is a PS2 Logitech dfp from 20 years ago....

Any driving simulator will help a little, especially those with traffic and somewhat realistic handling models. But unless you are learning auto it will help to have a gear shifter and clutch pedal.

Although I would love the thrustmaster TG 2, but it's slightly more than double the price of the G923. But I'm just a bin man budget sim racer anyway, when compared to today's standards.
@@JONACAN Honestly, I think both wheels are on a par so you are not missing much. Some people think the Logitech feels more natural, others disagree. The main thing is whether you enjoy it right! It might be worth looking up settings to get the best from it, depending on each game. Or embrace ignorance and never concern yourself with this stuff. Although I personally think making the steering lighter is more realistic. Good luck!

I’m so far behind in steering wheels. I ‘only’ have the very basic Logitech one that has the lacky band thing in it, it’s rubbish, so I just use controller most of the time.
But, for me that’s ok, I race RC cars, so I’m used to that sort of interface.
RC car racing sounds cool, I watched it as a kid. And yeah it's an interesting expression...
And the talent 😆
But you would be surprised how in depth the setup stuff is in a car 1 10th the size of a full sized car.

Corona may be the point. It's not beyond possibility that Logitech actually release at this price because of Corona, since the G29 is price gouging at £340 on UK Amazon due to low stock.
True, I imagine this is a low-hanging fruit that wasn't much to develop internally but could help boost funds while corony is killing economies.
@@ATribeCalledCars It's straight up price gouging. They are able to capitalize on the fact that their product is in unusually high demand by re-releasing the exact same product with negligible modification at a greatly increased price. Also, it seems to be possible to mix and match different brand based on looking at yours you have a thrustmaster handbrake with logitech steering wheel. What is not compatible? so is the pedal and steering wheel need the same brand, but you can run different brand on shifter and handbrake?
You don't get a clamp for a handbrake and/or shifter with the PlaySeat Challenge. I got mine from another company, might be worth watching my PlaySeat Challenge review. I believe a link is in the description of that video. As for mixing and matching, generally you can't unless you find an adapter. My wheel, pedals and shifter are all Thrustmaster. Once you know what steering wheel you want, you can the Google compatibility with the rest or tell me the other components your planning on getting.
Ps5 compatible? Should I wait and see if something better drops for that platform?
It is PS5 compatible, but perhaps other accessories will be released so maybe it's worth holding fire until closer to the console's launch.
That's what I figured, thanks for confirming.
Will this work with xcloud on PC in the future?
Not read anything concrete yet but I would assume so.
What I want to know is what what is the plus and minus button do in the little turning knob with the arrow on it I have one and idk how to even use that
I think you'd assign it or it works in certain games. Can't remember off the top of my head an example though.
@@ATribeCalledCars ok
Does the wheel still make a grinding sound like the g29
I didn't notice but maybe I'm just going deaf in my old age.
Does is still have that DeadZone in the middle when its centered???
Hi there, I bought my last week and it does not have any deadline, actually the wheel is very precise. Of course, you can set deadzone in the game if you like, but I don't advise to.
Does both version (Xbox & PlayStation) of the g923 works with both consoles (Xbox & PS4)? Thx
They might work but you'll have the wrong buttons so stick with the platform you use most.
@@ATribeCalledCars I'm thinking about buying a series X & a PS5 down the line, so I would like to know for sure because I don't want 2 cars wheel
@@capote5000 Makes sense and a difficult choice because you have Forza and Gran Turismo on different platforms. At least many others are multi-platform.
How do you turn off the inbuilt speakers?
I think it's in-game, if I recall correctly.
@@ATribeCalledCars yes true
How come you're lights aren't working?
Playing games before complete support was added, I think.
Been trying to find stock where i can get it on finance, PC/Xbox version.
Any luck?
@@ATribeCalledCars Na sadly not, Argos ain't stocked them in a big radius from where i live for a long time, I don't fancy paying over the top for one, i think ebay selers are buying them up and selling them for crazy money.
Been nearly two years trying to get a wheel starting trying to get the G920 in 2020, One day i will get a G923🤞
@@BadBoyV1 Fingers crossed, I think the global chip shortage and general scalping should be less problematic as we cruise through 2022. Good luck!
The brake pedal is way to stiff cant play it without shoes and something to support the pedal box because it will slide all over the place
Is it compatible with the shifter?
As far as I'm aware, yes. But I've not tested it personally.
You can get Direct drive for £300 now
Just not on PlayStation (yet).
@@ATribeCalledCars True. Bet that will arrive 2023
What wheel is the best for xbox.is the t300 rs on xbox?
Would turning the volume loud enough to create vibrations negate any advantages of TrueForce?
Haha yes.
So over 12k people like me like your content interesting
Who knows why haha.
Anyone know what the demolition derby game is called?
Wreckfest.
The force gets stronger as I use it more. Must be the brushed motors getting broke in. ( I think with two motors the wheel should gain a good 20% in force. ;-)
So you'll end up with 20% bigger muscles.
@@ATribeCalledCars 20% worse authorities!
what happened to the LEDs at 4:37 ?
Some games don't support it. Not sure though.
What you think of the logitech G290 for xbox ? or what would you recommend
It's a good wheel, if substantially cheaper than the G923 it's worth it. Thrustmaster T300RS is an option but the cheapest version has two pedals that are less effective but the wheel is a bit smoother.
Does this wheel work with Oculus Rift S
You run the VR and steering wheel separately into a PC so presumably (I have the G2, not Rift S) if the game supports both you are okay. Which game or games?
@@ATribeCalledCars Well most likely Assetto Corsa, unless you have a better suggestion.
That is a good one to start with, decent racer!
