You both look rested. It is so relaxing to listen to you, no matter what you chat about. My sympathies on the loss of your father Arne. He will always be in your heart.
It's nice to see you two again. Arne's hair has definitely gotten the curl back now, and Carlos looks. styled perfectly as always. I do hope Arne is coping with his father's passing, you too, Carlos and family. Just remember that he had a lovely long life with you all. I'm very lucky that my father is still with us at 93. We lost my mother when I was 19, 40 years ago. Take care of each other and make sure to keep hugging each other.
Arne you’re not “old” , it’s only a number! My mother is 100 and still knits and crochets. She has made so many circular baby shawls that she wore the pattern out. I have laminated one for her.
I just realized this video was created as a direct answer to one of my questions that I posted a while back. Or maybe you just speak to me. Thank you. Great tips.
Thank you for all the handy tips. At 64 years of age I have followed your fantastic instructions and taught myself to knit the Norwegian way - who says old dogs can't learn new tricks!! Your way of knitting is much less stress on the hands and I really love it. Thank you again
Arne, my sincere sympathy on the passing of your beloved father. He truly leaves a great legacy in you, his multitalented son. So a very special “thank you” to the man who gave us our wonderful Arne! May you rest with the angels until the two of you meet again.❤️
So lovely to see you gentlemen! My sincere condolences on the loss of your father, Arne. You were blessed to have him for so many wonderful years. I hope you both are enjoying the summer. Great tips on color work! Looking forward to the next video! :-)
I have been watching the Arctic Race of Norway. The race took the roads from Tromse to Just inside Finland then back to Norway. The scenery was beautiful as the race along the edges of fiords and through forests and lower edges of mountains it ended in Harstad. Many boats sailed along when possible. No wonder you look forward to touring your country by Boat and Beetle
Sorry to hear of your sad loss, Arne, but I am so pleased that you are both back, and giving us such great tips - I will seriously have to consider knitting Norwegian style now!!
So communication between people means everything. We can learn from each other a lot. Like children from their parents. 😀 And especially we knitters from Arne and Carlos. 😀😀🌻🌻🌻
Arne and Carlos. thank you for giving us all something to look forward to. Thoughts to arne on the loss of his dad. I lost my dad 2 yrs ago at the age of 96 and think of him every day. My gram was born in st andst denmark and taught me how to knit at age 8. What a gift she gave me as I am 68. Enjoy your summer.!
Carlos, the pink socks and matching shoe laces! Yesssssssss! (Is this an A&C Regia colorway? Do tell!). Neither of you is old. I"m older than both of you, and I am not too old to swim five miles/week, so let's enjoy our youth together!
So good to have you back! I hope you were able to enjoy your time off even with Arne losing his dad. Again, I'm so very sorry for your loss, Arne. Please stop saying Arne is so old lol I'm 5 years older than he is. Looking forward to catching up on all the news on Wednesday.
I had this exact question today - Dec 13, 2023 as I noticed in the KAL stocking you were switching hands. I am a loose knitter which is usually not an issue because I am evenly and uniformly loose. I down-sized on the needles for the stocking and it still looks like I am making a small sleeping bag although I think it looks very nice. It's amazing how the same pattern and materials in different hands can be so unalike. Sending warm wishes and thanks from CHILLY Montréal!
Arne, my condolences on the loss of your father. My heart hurts for you. Watching the both of you my knitting and crocheting has improved so much. All tips are welcome. And your cooking shows!, well no more needs to be said 😂
What a great hack! Glad to see that you are both enjoying your summer in the garden. I just ordered some patterns from your website. The time and effort it takes you to create your videos is so greatly appreciated! FYI I'm creating a cardigan for my husband based on the Setesdal pattern from your Norwegian Knits With a Twist book. Enjoy the rest of the summer, Arne & Carlos! 🥰
Just love you guys. Thank you for this great ‘hack.’ Always looking for ways to improve my tension. Carlos, your haircut looks great! My deepest condolences to you both on the loss of Arne‘s father. I pray that you will find comfort and peace as you reflect upon the memories of him which you hold deep in your heart.
It is lovely to see you back with a new episode and no matter what adjectives you choose to give each other you always make me smile ….love you both!!!!!!
Condolences to you Arne on the loss of your father. Good to see you both, and looking forward to catching up with you with my afternoon knitting session. Best wishes from 🏴
Nice video ❣️ Good tip ! My condolences to Arne and Carlos too. 🥺 I’ve lost my parents recently, they where 94 years old. They where the loviest parents of the World and it hurts a lot and more and more ! I wish you strenght ❣️ Love lily🌸
I'm back into knitting. I've been doing it off and on for years but just really got the hang of visually telling a purl stitch from a knit one. What a game changer. Once I get confident fixing mistakes I'll be a knitting machine. 😊
I have never attempted color work until today!!! Thanks so much for this video! Also.....I have spent the last month learning and getting used to Norwegian knitting....and I LOVE IT! Thank you so much for your great tutorials! You guys are the best!
Concolences to you, Arne, I hope you will share a bit about your father and family with us. Did you inherit your sense of humor from him? So glad to see you fine gentlement again, you've been missed greatly! Thanks for all of the fun you bring along with your many interests and skills.
Great to see you both looking healthy & happy, and slim! Vacation suits you! Condolences on your father passing, Arne, we know that it hurts. Can't wait to see your next episode, but don't pudgy yourselves. We all need to be kinder.
So great to see you! You both look marvelous - some colour on your skin, relaxed, comfortable in front of that new fence. Wonderful. I love the old mitten patterns. Really beautiful and they show the progression of styles in Norwegian knitting designs.
Thank you for showing the mitten with the “bumpy” yarn…I always wondered why a row would show up “bumpy,” and now I know it’s because I was holding the yarn tighter than usual. Some knitters would say, don’t worry blocking evens everything out. I never believed that! Thank so much guys for the tension tips!
I really always thought it was fine, he was just self conscious and it wasn't fluid. It is really fluid now. And no, you're not too old to talk anymore, too funnee you guys are a delight, as always!!! I love the back and forth repartee, you are well matched.
I love watching you knit, Arne. You make it look so easy. I so wish I had started out knitting Norwegian-style all those decades ago. Happy summer, kids.
Perfect timing. I have been knitting some colorwork socks and struggling with the tension. I will try your way! And Arne, I am so sorry about your Dad. He will be with you always though. Mine is.💟
I’ve been learning for a while to knit continental rather than the english way I grew up with. I got so tired of knitting ribbing or seed stitch and switching the yarn from back to front to back. Whew! I’ve even learned the Norwegian purl. I thought I had forgotten because I hadn’t done it for a while but I tried and it came right back. My fingers remembered. Thanks for your ‘hacks’. I’lll try that switching colors from one to the other on my finger like the Norwegian lady suggested. We miss you but hope you’re having a gloriously fun summer!
So sorry for your loss Arne and Carlos. Prayers for healing.
💖
I’m sorry for your loss Arne. Big hug!
I really have to say that Arnes english has improved a whole lot in the last year. He speaks with A LOT more confidence now. Exellent!!
😍Thank you!
Doesn’t matter how old we are, losing a parent is sad. It hurts. Sending you condolences and a hug.
Love your pink socks with the blue shoes, Carlos!

My mother never did a gusset check out after thought thumb i am from Newfoundland Canada where no gusset is quite common
Arne you’re not “old” , it’s only a number! My mother is 100 and still knits and crochets. She has made so many circular baby shawls that she wore the pattern out. I have laminated one for her.
