    To take the life of innocent kids like that is just sick. I mean what can be missing in your soul to PHYSICALLY kill, not only a person, but a child..and not just A child...but 19 children. As a father I can't even wrap my head around this and I give my deepest condolences to the families that have to go through this. God this just breaks my heart.

Or even worse, they might survive with a bullet-wound or possibly need an amputation/disarticulation.
      There's levels to the trauma. And let's not forget how this will change things at the family level. This incident will make parents so manic, that it'll colour their relationship with these kids from now on.
      You might've had a better chance trying to argue that these kids don't have PTSD, but even that is a hard sell. This community will be at pains to forget this, and these kids will always know something happened.

      @@Richardiba no amount of good logic or good sentence structure is enough to beat years of scientific research and development of the concept of trauma and PTSD.
      Trauma is specifically an unprocessed remnant of your past. Within a certain amount of time after a trauma, people are able to process it correctly and will not suffer from PTSD. This is simply how scientists and psychologists say it is, after years of study.
      I know it sounds terrible, like how could someone get over that, but that has little bearing on how traumatic it is, the response time is key.
      Whether it’s “simplistic” or not, you are arguing with your logic, I am arguing with my knowledge of the literature of trauma.

      I agree. My daughter just graduated high school and in all the celebrating, I literally had the thought in the back of my mind that at least now she won’t be a victim in this way. I have a son with five more years to go yet. But it never ends, this happens at college too, it happens out shopping or eating out. These politicians can not say they’re pro life while doing nothing to stop this madness.

    I’m an Australian, we had mass shooting many years ago but the Government stepped in straight away to tighten gun control and too hopefully stop it from ever happening again. Yes you can still own guns in Australia but you have to go through a rigorous application for a gun license, you can not have any criminal paste, or be under the age of 18 and you don’t just go to the police station hand over your application and be given a license then and there . There are tight rules and you will be checked out for any reason there may be, then and only then can you own a gun. There are also strict laws on how the guns in your possession are to be kept safe either in a locked Box or Gun Cabinet and you have to also lock ammunitions, locked in seperate boxes to the guns. I’m sure there are many other rules for gun ownership but these are just the ones that I know. I’m so so sorry this has happened again in your beautiful country, also the loss of so many innocent children and their teachers must be heartbreaking but you are going too have to realise that much,much tighter laws and who can buy them, really have to be put in place, it’s the only way to stop tragic things like this from happening again. To all of the people who lost loved ones and for the whole town, my heart breaks for you all.

      We have loads of gun laws here in the United States. We have Federal gun laws and there are laws in every State as well. In this Country we have a wide open southern border where the cartel brings drugs in to this Country every day. There are also guns sold on the streets by gangs. This business of believing that more gun laws is going to stop somebody like this is just delusional utopian thinking. It won't. Drugs are illegal in this Country right now. Yet we have far more ppl ODing from drugs here everyday, than we have ppl being killed by guns. It's not even close. The Cartel is bringing the drugs in over the wide open border and drugs are everywhere. Getting in to the hands of kids. Making guns illegal here will just set up the black market for guns here. Ppl like this do not care about laws. Count up all of the laws this lunatic broke that day. He did not care at all about laws. He just wanted to hurt and destroy other ppl's lives. He was evil.

    • @donellefeltham
      @donellefeltham 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Liberty6010and9 Yes he was more than evil, but all I’m saying is someone has to do something about it. Simply because it happens to often. I know all about Cartels and Drugs, we have a drug problem here too but you’ve got your priorities right. Yes it’s sad when someone OD’s, but it’s a hole lot worse when innocent kids lives are taken, all because they don’t like something that happened to them. All I was saying is it worked for us and if it worked for us, why couldn’t it work for you people.

    • @Liberty6010and9
      @Liberty6010and9 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@donellefeltham Because there will still be guns that's why. The Cartel will bring them in and only criminals who get guns on the black market to begin with. Will have guns. Then there will be no safety at all for anyone. And nobody can now say leave it in Police's hands either. Obviously. Police stayed outside while ppl were being killed doing nothing. Also do you know why we have the right to arms? Because our Founders knew without that, our Govt would become Tyrannical. The regime in power here right now is tyrannical. We are not going to give up our right to self defense here. We cannot trust in nor rely on this Govt to protect us, save us, or tell us the truth on anything. We have a media that is full on in bed and has loyalty to 1 political Party here. And that Political party is very much responsible for the division we have between ppl in this Country. And they are so corrupt and so evil. I would never trust them for 1 damn thing. All they are after is total control over the ppl. We have seen this before. We are not going to allow ourselves to have our right to self defense taken from us. And just so you are aware. There are roughly 300,000,000 guns in this Country owned by law abiding citizens. So good luck on that.

    He walked into the school, actually shot his way into the school. And then no less than 19 police officers went into the school and played with themselves for an hour while he killed as many people as he could in those two rooms he had access to. Because at least 18 of those officers were cowards. And I'm hearing now that the one who actually went in there and took care of business was called by his wife because he had a child in that school. The police officers were spending more time arresting parents outside the school been taking care of their job in eliminating the threat of an active gunman. Cowards all every one of them that didn't do their job that day.

    Edit: I agree that we do need gun control and for our government to do things about this. Mental health should also be important as it can lead to a tragedy like this again and again. We're never as strong, as we are until we have to be. Never Do as much, unless the need we see. Only give our best, when we fail at mediocrity. We Love rather than hate when we admit we're one humanity. We always give more, when compassion moves our heart with unbridled generosity. We Become more of our potential when we are made to see, that clearly our minds can believe in unfathomable possibilities, while seizing every opportunity, here in lies one's destiny. More than our scars, higher than our stars, for in our flaws are what defines our features, they're uniquely ours, as human creatures.
      We can run faster than on our slowest day. Reason better, and thinking it through all the way, regardless which direction our emotions may sway. We can find our voice when speechless, our strong words with meekness and our Courage in weakness. Always patience not quickness. Silence for peace than loudness, quietness of fear, not hopeless, for time and effort are equally unbiased. We are more than the stories we're told, we're the one's we write, each page unfold. We are the sum of our Lies and truth, fantasy, fiction, faith, and myths, no matter how uncouth. These are what shape us, our lives lived is the proof. We can be more right than wrong. More just than judge. More godlike than unlike. Reflecting Sunlight in our darkest night.
      Providing refuge. Never more alive until we die within and begin again. A Human Ark Divine in our human spark.
