You are an absolute legend. Steps are super easy to follow and I have managed to give myself a pretty near perfect mullet, even without the thinning scissors!
I went to get a mullet yesterday, I got charged $55 here in DALLAS TEXAS and this dude in this video did a better job than the so called barber that ripped me off.
I'm trying to grow my hair out from a skin fade to get here currently and it's killing me, I just feel like I look really dirty and scraggly. from all the videos on modern mullets your hair type and texture is closest to mine - so what do you reckon a good length would be before I get that first cut?
Was looking for inspo for my boyfriend. He wants to cut his hair, and I wanted him to keep some length- then remembered mullets are a thing. He loves the idea, so fingers crossed I can do this cut some justice and that he likes it 🥰🥰
I say do it but with good clippers. It’s important not to go cheap with them, because it does make a difference. When I first started cutting my own hair I was using slightly higher guards like a level 2 and up so that the lines wouldn’t be so noticeable. You’ll get better with practice.

Okay but my inquiry in regards to this mullet vid is, as I’ve fantasized about having one and at least in my head I look like a male model on the cover of GQ - butttt, JUST INCASE, say either I mess up or it just doesn’t look how I’ve envisioned on me in my mind… couldn’t you totally just say screw it and clean up the “party” and basically just give yourself the run of the mill traditional taper fade to the rescue???
Ok so I did it. Only thing my clippers don’t have half numbers… so there’s that but to be the first time it’s looking good. I’m excited, and learned something new. Thanks man 💪🏽

I honestly think I messed up cutting my hair into a mullet! 😭 the sides feel ticklish and the back looks ok but idk what to do with the front either rock a bowl cut mullet or i have to put a lot of gel to slick it back!

I mean it’s don’t matter it can go with Anything. I’ve rocked the mullet and I have a round face cause I’m hella Asian. But the mullet look fine if your going for that Asian mullet look.
I grew my hair mid length and then used a #2 guard on the sides in a C shape and left it like that, looked pretty good, but then I used the blending shears to blend in the line a little and I fucked it up somehow and put a bald line just below where the disconnect is 😂you live and learn I suppose
One side is higher than the other. Also, clean your machines so you don't get all the redness after ur cut. Also, fade down so you dont make any mistakes
