I wouldn’t call that a mullet. It needed to be shorter on the sides for sure. Now the barbers haircut was rockin. He’s got style!!
No it would need to be shorter on the top for it to be a mullet because the length is the same on the top and back (the back might actually be slightly shorter) and then the sides are shorter, so it’s a mohawk, and cutting the sides shorter would just make it more of a mohawk, so the too would need to be shorter to make it a mullet.

Looks great, I’ve been cutting a mullet on my husband for a couple weeks now. I’ve been stumped on how to blend the crown area, this helps! But he’s clipper cut on the sides.

Hi! Thanks for making this tutorial. I've used it twice now to cut my hubby's hair. I adjusted it a little bit to his curly hair so there is a nice conction to the side and top part. This video will be my favorite for a while now as a guide to cut his hair. Note: I'm not a hairdresser. Just learning from videos (as I cut my own hair too)

My mullet looked much different in the 1980’s! Spiked on top, short on sides, and of course permed curly hair in the back that went down between my shoulder blades! Rock on!

A real deal, authentic mullet..... is just shaved on the sides at home. No blending and making it pretty or pussifying it. Youre supposed to look like you can stick up for your country, women, helpless, YOURSELF, not look like Drake.

Yeah it's required a goofy droopy look to be called a mullet.
Half of the back has to be to same length, his is just slightly longer backtips, nope, it doesn't count as a mullet

Fantastic cut and transformation. I like these more "modern" mullets compared to what I grew up with in the 90's. Although I still do see some dudes with the super long back and cropped sides. This version can be professional or perfect if you are in a rock band!
