WOW it was very good...These Biscuits Rock!!! So tonight it's Breakfast for Dinner. Eggs, Bacon and Ham & Cheese Biscuits ... TY for this channel

    I've made these several times and they are delicious - couple of notes: these do not rise and do not spread so keep them high - don't press down much or else you'll have wafers. Bake them for the full time. I used BRM blanched extra fine Almond Flour one time, and another brand another time, and to tell you the truth, the other brand came out better. Last time I added a couple tablespoons of minced green onion and I never add salt as the sour cream and cheese have plenty of salt.

      II made these again today - such a great recipe. I added 1/4 tsp. each garlic and onion powder, oregano and parsley flakes. I also used greek yogurt in place of sour cream just to shake things up and these turned out fantastic. They ARE light and fluffy and most closely resemble a wheat flour biscuit of any low carb biscuit recipe I've ever tried.

    Wow! My whole family loved these. Shocking, because they usually don't like my keto foods. I had all the ingredients on hand. Came together fast. I made 14 biscuits and baked mine for 16 minutes. Reminds me of Red Lobster's cheddar biscuits. I haven't eaten there in years. Thank you, Carolyn!

    I made these "carnivore" by using 4oz of ground pork rinds in place of the flours. Not bad. I would say to increase to 1 Tablespoon garlic powder and add 1/2 Tablespoon onion powder in order to mask the pork rind flavor.
    This was also a good way to use up some sour cream that we had that was just starting to "turn".

    I'm late to respond and I'm interested to know what brands of almond flour you use. I have used three brands: Bob's Red Mill, Blue Diamond, and Nature's Eats. They produce a dry, coarse crumb. I follow directions and don't tinker with recipes. Baked goods seem to have little or no distinct flavor.

    I love drop biscuits, especially when they look like the Red Lobster ones…but I didn’t love these. Like, at all. Too eggy for my liking. I’d never made them before so I didn’t know what they were like, but I brought them to my friends house and was quite embarrassed at how eggy they were. For some reason I was thinking that the yolk was what made a particular “bread” item eggy tasting…but it’s the egg white I guess. And I guess I should have known since it took so many eggs. I think I’ll try finding another less eggy recipe to try. Otherwise, no to the biscuits then.

    • @AllDayIDreamAboutFood
      @AllDayIDreamAboutFood  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not the eggs... it's your brand of coconut flour. Some are more absorbent than others. Sounds like you had one that was less so. They should be bread-y, not eggy at all.

    Carolyn, I LOVE your recipes for the most part, but let me give a word to the wise on this particular recipe. The coconut flour used in this recipe ruined it for me and my (non-keto) family. NOT as advertised! It should be renamed "Keto COCONUT Cheesy biscuits!" And if you like coconut flavor in your biscuits, then this is the recipe for you!
    I have been trying out Keto recipes for a few years now for a family who does not have to rely on a Keto lifestyle besides myself, but I have been and want to cook/bake for everyone with this much healthier lifestyle. I am obsessed with eating "clean Keto" which means I spend A LOT of money on all organic and naturally based/raised ingredients, no seed oils or anything that isn't all natural. So when I'm tossing alway a whole sheet of "cheesy biscuits" because no one will eat them...well, it hurts a lot! :-( On a positive note, many of your recipes have been awesome, with the Coconut Cream Pie recipe being absolutely spectacular! Thank you for all that you do!
