For Bigscreen, I find it causes too much glare in quest3. Using players where you can move the screen up, and also you can create some light around the screen background, really helps get rid of glare.
@@RafiALBO I've been using BigscreenVR player for 5 months since I wrote that comment above, so as far as glare is concerned, I've found environments not set in very dark areas will work best with the least glare. Also, environment surrounding lighting can be turned up to max in the BigscreenVR settings, and that makes a big difference. The BigscreenVR video screen can also be raised or lowered in the settings or if you look down at the floor and click the right Quest controller Meta infinity button, it will reposition the screen height so to reflect any glare out of view. For $10 Skybox looks as good as BigscreenVR with great features and a low glare profile. I've found if the Quest lenses aren't perfectly clean, the glare will go up exponentially. Your right, he didn't say...but it's Skybox. Most I've seen cost something, but not much. I bought Heresphere, it's the more costly one at about $30 If I remember right.
I bought Heresphere media player. It will play back a sort of 3D VR that Bigscreen can not handle. If you like having a shitload of parameters to tweak Heresphere is your toy. One thing I don't understand is : when trying to play a local file, and the player/quest3 doesn't have the codec to play it, how do you install the codecs?
I agree. Netflix is virtually unwatchable in my view on the Quest. I don't see why this should be with such an advanced and pricey headset. I was looking forward to watching a movie or two on it, but way too grainy for my liking. Would ne great if Meta could address this in a future update....do you think that's ever likely to happen?
fill the headset, as in put you in the middle of the video? there are 360 degree videos like drone footage where you are flying in the air and looking around, or from the international space station and the video is playing all around you but it wont be as high quality video as an imax screen movie

Yeah the 4k micro OLED display of the AVP
What was the name of each one? Do they cost money? I dont think you said what the name of the last that you said you liked.
I JUST WANT a 3d movie service.
Are the external lense protectors good or do they blur the image
Never used a VR headset. Can you actually make the film fill the headset instead of a TV screen in the distance?
fill the headset, as in put you in the middle of the video? there are 360 degree videos like drone footage where you are flying in the air and looking around, or from the international space station and the video is playing all around you
but it wont be as high quality video as an imax screen movie
@@thyjhtgrfed all I see is a movie screen in the distance. Can a film that you watch just be the entire film filling the view? Or is it always a screen in the distance? Hope that makes sense
There are examples of immersive VR videos like the animations in Theatre Elsewhere, specially produced for vr, you can fly around in the movie even, look up theatre elsewhere
does Fandango work with these ?
So you jump to your favorite way of watching movies after showing off big screen, but you fail to mention what this favorite app is??
thats exactly the kind of reviews i was looking for , Thanks man
Can you dim it down to complete darkness like the Vision Pro?
The fact netflix are still using the same application they had in the samsung galaxy VR system is actually mindblowing 😂
Is it possible to watch movies or say, documents in full screen or is it always a window with a background around it like you showed here? I'm looking for a way to get rid of my projector which is used as a screen for excel, web and games and is connected to my computer.
Skybox vr works great for me streaming from my pc using virtual desktop or plug in a usb to my Quest 3
Spatial TV doesn't seem to be on the Meta store!? How do you get it?
I wonder why Bigscreen is not playing some MKV files , they dont even show up in local files directory
Is the updated version of BigScreen available on Quest 2?
I checked it a few months ago, and it was pretty unchanged.
Still great
I prefer the Quest Pro because the colors and black level are better in a theater setting.
10:13 SKYBOX VR Video Player
I could not understand what is "this" the favourite he's talking about from 10:25. thanks
Are 3D movies enjoyable and are the resolutions enough to really enjoy?
Yes. With 4XVR.
I watch movies on Skybox the most but Bigscreen is great. Let’s hope Disney+ comes to Quest with proper 3D. Ain’t no way I’m paying £3500 for an Apple Vision Pro.
Appreciate the video. Keep up the good work
How do you get rid of the stupid vacuum that's always moving around and distracting
It's too blurry to watch movies on Metaquest, especially when it's dark, even after cleaning the lenses perfectly.
1:51 Netflix
2:44 Spatial TV
What was the last app you were using that let you watch from an IMAX Theater? Does anyone know?
Skybox VR Player
Wondering if you know: in Bigscreen, it looks like party watch is GONE in Prime and Disney+? How can you watch things with friends, other than TH-cam?
Bigscreen
You'd have to use remote desktop if you have a pc. I found it's the best way to stream anything because it shows everything you do on your desktop.
I was just wondering how many standalone games on the Quest 3 that are really good without having to play off of a PC? Would the PSVR2 be better than the Quest 3?
Is Quest 3 significantly better than Quest 2 for movies?
How do you watch prime with the theaters? You said there app has built in ones but mine just opens like a browser page and uses my quests background
How long does the battery last for movie watching?
is it possible to see fullscreen instead of see the cinema with small screen ? also is it possible to stop the movement when moving the head? net net...just see the movie fullscreen and relax?
I have TH-cam Tv to watch all my cable type channels. So you can watch tv streaming services on this ??
When do you mention the name of the app at the end that's your favorite?
It's called Skybox VR.
@@BMFVR Thanks. It looks very similar to an app I've been using, 4XVR. Watching movies in 3D is amazing. We live in very cool times!
How do I stream vudu 4k on my pc using virtual desktop
Just open it and let it play through VLC or whatever, but the quality wont be as good as your 4k monitor or tv
@@andrejh8132 how do I get better quality?
I love downloading 3d movies and using vigscreen with my surround sound sustem
isnt the movie going to be in really low resolution?
can a person use a Meta Quest 3 during a flight, long distance flying this would be amazing
Can I connect my blu ray player (hdmi ) directly to the Meta Quest 3?
Skybox is definitely my favorite.
Is there a place to download films to the headset?
Still don't have a quest 3 yet. Still enjoying my quest 2.
BigScreen VR is awesome
