Big Screen doesn't allow you to rent 3d movies anymore if i remember correctly and the cloud browser doesn't allow you to watch Netflix and it also requires you to pay for the cloud browser after 2 hours
Is Bigscreen the only option that allows watching with a friend? I'm really looking for that experience specifically... any way for two people to be in the same room and have a screen available that you can cast your desktop computer to.
Any recommendations for a 3d bluray burner so I can start creating a library of 3d movies i can watch on my quest 3..... I know there are no streaming options for 3d movies yet unfortunately. 😞
And is there an app where i can watch a movie with a friend? When i try to start a movie from my Pc or my Quest 3 in Bigscreen, my friend sees just a massage that he can´t watch the video and that he has to have the same movie on his quest. And all the other apps don´t let me invite someone or they just see a black screen where i see a video
@VRelity why not? You literally just search the streaming platform you need, you can even do the argh argh me heartey if you need through some websites, the way you explain is just unnecessary extra steps, and im pretty sure the browser streams in higher quality
@@MelGibs-v7jin some countries, it's price increases because of inflation. I buy myself a Quest 3s and i paid about 450-500 dolars. And because of inflation, it is a high price tech for these countries.
great video but theres no point in any of this when you cant charge the headset while playing. You have to take it off and close it all down every few hours to recharge so you cant get truly lost in it
Try bobo vrs battery strap. It charges the headset while you go and has a hot swappable power puck so when the puck dies you can switch it out and keep going without ever stopping your session
Quest 3/3s and Quest 2 all allow simultaneous charging while playing. Just need to upgrade charger and cable to allow higher charging wattage. Its easy
This is the problem with technology. Within a few months the apps get withdrawn or are discontinued and your device is left sitting on the shelf with your money gone. It’s important to remember that people making the headset and those making the apps are different companies and buying the headset doesn’t ensure it’s full potential.
I wouldn't say "drastically" reduces the resolution. I watch movies and shows in Bigscreen all the time and it looks fantastic. The only issue I can see is the compression making low rez visuals and artifacts in dark scenes. Other than that it looks fine.
This video and the comments are full of bad information do any of you actually use bigscreen and stream content does not sound like it. 2 commenters sound like they have use the rest are lost Movie rental went away about a yr ago. Netflix, Peacock, youtube sign in dont work on cloud browser amazon prime only does 480p. It is useless to me. People have success wih plex and regular cloud browsing. Streaming from my pc and using any browser I can stream and share anything my pc will play any site or content on pc. I do it all the time for 3 to 5 hours at a time. Bigscreen maxes at 1080p when sharing content to others
@Bobsea25, which app do you use for streaming content from the PC to the VR headset? And, is the connection between the headset and PC wired or wireless for this streming?
@@ramnik.khannaI personally use it wireless from pc, but I charge while watching in bed and battery never drains. I use virtual desktop and it is HIGHLY worth it imo
What is your favourite movie to watch in VR?
How do you legally get movie files?
anime stuff

@@TheRealLucifer-Morningstar you can normally access netflix if you use firefox though
Yes, you're right, I don't know why they took out this option. for me it is now useless
@marcelkelber4517 will it's not totally useless to me but the cloud browser is useless to me considering i have to pay for it
The built-in browser can watch any stream services just fine
Exactly.
Even for me now it doesn’t make sense because i use Netflix through default browser and prime video app

@jesterod i wont name them incase they get flagged but theres loads of free streaming sites that have absolutely everything
How ?
doesn't work that easily in vr though

true but most good apps stay for a very long time
Doing this will drastically reduce the resolution of the movie
Good to know but the size of the screen is worth it
Doesn't matter its a GREAT experience. And we watch stuff in 4k all the time.
1080p is great too
