This is the simplest way I’ve seen to add a pocket! (I use a die, but it’s only one size…)
Here’s an idea to add to yours, for a pocket that’s able to fit in more ‘stuff’:
If you cut the top paper just 1/4” wider & also at the bottom, you could fold the ‘to be taped’ sides under 1/4” & then glue or tape to the bottom paper, which would make the pocket deeper. 🤗

I’m a perfectionist, so am trying to change that a bit by following Christians like you who are ok to not have their work perfectly done.
There are some things that I should take extra care in doing, but I find I spend too much energy & time getting EVERYTHING to my standards. And I lose some of the joy & it takes too much time for unimportant fussing! Thanks for showing an old dog new tricks! LOL

Hmm A few days ago, I was just thinking of figuring out a way to do that on the outside of bible. For pens and paper, because I have too much papers stuffed into mine.

Do you sometimes use your husband's commentaries when you study the Bible? Does he have a huge selection of commentaries?
I do use commentaries, that is generally my last step during my study time. I wouldn’t necessarily say they are my husband’s commentaries, they are both of our commentaries! 😂 But we do not have a huge selection of commentaries, we actually have a very small selection. hopefully I will be able to put a video about it
Yes, that would be a great video. And a great point that you use it as a last step! Personally I want to hear what God tells me first before I add in from anyone else.
