Your videos have been such an inspiration to me! These great ideas to expand the features of the study bible I am using. I always wish for some other feature in my bible to add thoughts and notes. you have opened my eyes to so many great ideas. Your ideas and presentation have also given me a real boost in bible study. Thank you for sharing these great ideas!!
All of my colored pens, pencils, and highlighters have specific meaning attached to them. For instance, purple is God, orange is for names, green is for places, and more. I also use symbols along with a color, like brown is for sin as well as death and negative attributes. But I have a symbol for death, which I draw in brown, and also a symbol for sin, also made with brown. These things I learned from the Inductive Study with Kay Arthur I took back in the early 2000's. Her list of symbols became overwhelming for me, but I stayed with them until I quit the classes. I have since trimmed down a lot, so to speak. I continue to follow the color scheme and a few symbols, but I have learned the art of boxing in certain Scriptures and boxing in my comments in the margin or on a taped on or tipped in piece of paper that corresponds with the color I used to box in the Scripture. It's much easier for me to take notes now, having discovered all of the amazing Mr. Pen tools! And I also love to use up old note paper. Nothing goes to waste!
I'm so happy to have found your channel...a kindred spirit. I do love to bible journal and having the creativity and joy in my heart is no accident, as we study God and his Word, I feel growth in my walk especially sharing with others. Thank you for your time and the dedication that goes into providing valuable content in a world that seems lost. Bless you!
So enjoying your content I love taking notes in my bibles ( yea I said bibles I have a problem ;). Elmer's glue is the best for tip ins, so many great ideas, looking forward to seeing more videos. Thanks for sharing your creativity and your love for God!
Hi! I'm a new subscriber! I watch a lot of bible study and journaling content, and saw your video on my feed. Thank you so much for sharing! I'm looking forward to your channel! I have a She Reads Truth as well and this year I am essentially starting from scratch. I didn't become a Christian until I was about 19-20, and immediately dove into ministry school. I dropped out halfway through due to my chronic illness and then went on a almost 8 year hiatus from studying and such. I felt very convicted after being in the wilderness for a long time and so I recently was called to reestablish, rebuild, reassess... To much despair when I set out on my pursuit of the word and building my relationship with God, it was made apparent that, after my hiatus, traumatic experiences and brain surgery, God wiped my entire slate clean, so I am back in the same shoes I was when I gave my life to Him a decade ago when I had zero knowledge of the word or anything. I am spending almost all of my time absorbing, and I'm really excited to follow your channel because I have also discovered this type of bible studying (journaling, deep diving) is the medium in which I'm using to build my foundations and surrender. +
Wow, what a testimony! Praise God for you, I’m so happy to know that you are building a relationship with the Lord. Bible journaling definitely gave me a new love for the Word, and I pray it does the same for you! Thanks for watching! 💛
Love that you actually JOURNAL and take NOTES in your in Bible. I get frustrated when I tune in to a video on Bible journaling and it's actually artwork being done. I did have a question about the transparent sticky notes. I had purchased some a while back, but unable to write on them without it smearing, and I tried every different style of pen/ink. Thanks for the info on the pen you use, I'll be getting one today and hopefully that'll work!! 👍🏼🙏🏼😊
Great video! Looking forward to more. This might be something to address in a later video but, how do you decide which notes go in one bible vs. another? Or do you just reference the previous one so you aren’t putting the same notes in it as the previous one?
Glad you’re watching!! I can definitely do a video explaining that a bit more but the She Reads Truth Bible is the one I take to church and the other Bible is my home study one. I’ll try to get a video up about this and my reasoning behind it soon. 💛
@@MahoganyBelle I love Mr. Pen highlighters. They have both your regular Bible Highlighters that have worked with very minimal shadowing and also gel highlighters that are essentially completely no bleed through. Here are the links… amzn.to/3YQlepa amzn.to/4dv7ept
good morning... new subbie to your channel. would you do a flip thru of the goldish brown Bible journal ? i would love to see more of it. Thank you so much. love your journal style and ideas.
Hi! Thanks for subscribing! Yes, I can definitely work on getting a video done of that. I will be out of town soon but be on the lookout for it in the next couple of weeks:)
Perhaps you have already shared this, but I wanted to ask why you are taking notes in two different Bibles. Do you use them differently? I only ask because I have the "She Reads Truth" Bible, which I absolutely love, but I also just got the ESV Journaling Study Bible (it's all in one), and I literally do not know which one to use first. I love both for different reasons. Wonderful videos; I just started following you
Hi! Great question! To be honest there is no specific reason why I journal and take notes in different Bibles, my She Reads Truth Bible is now mainly used as my church Bible for note taking and I have a couple Bible I use for my home study time, sometimes I like to start a new book to study with a clean slate with no notes on the page so that notes and thoughts from previous times do not fill my mind. ImI just like to let God’s Word minister to me first then I will go back and look up previous notes if needed. Also, I like the idea of seeing how I have grown over time in my studies and note taking. Hope this makes sense, these are just a couple reasons why:) Thanks for watching!
@@FlourishInHisWordwithJudy thank you so much for you’re response - that’s beautiful! You just gave me some great ideas 💡 please keep posting videos . God is certainly using you to inspire others to read His Word (not just journal ) but to KNOW HIM - 👏🏻👏🏻😊
I actually purchased the ones that I have at TJ Maxx, but I found these on Amazon, I will link it below. They seem to be the exact same ones I have. I’m not sure if they are perforated but if you have a paper cutter, you can pull out a page and just use the paper cutter to make a clean edge. Hope this helps! amzn.to/49ExStR
