Yes, writing things out really does help! I saw a huge difference when I started notetaking and journaling things that I learn. And whenever you go back to that book in the future, you will have all your context there already to add to!
I am dealing with strokes and seizures leaving me with a lot of time on my hands. Your way of teaching fits my way of learning perfectly! 😊 Also with it being on TH-cam I can watch it over and over again. Thank you following this path, The Lord 6:52 is using you to learn more about Him.❤
@@Hummingbird_Homestead sorry to hear about your health, I pray God brings healing from these stokes and seizures 🙏 I’m blessed to hear that these videos have been helpful for you. His Word will truly bring peace and comfort no matter the situation in our lives❤️ God bless and thank you for watching!
I love the idea of adding an overall outline that you added to your bible. I will be adding the same to mine and with so much information to remember it's so handy to have it in the Bible to look back at. Thank you for your videos, they are so helpful!
Very, very helpful video. This gives me a starting point. Some of the bibles I have just get right into the book and not give any detailed information. I like the idea of creating it myself to include the fields you have highlighted for each book. This way I am able to include what sticks out to me as well as keeping it as plain and simple as I sometimes need it to be. It also opened my eyes to use multiple resources and or translations. Thank you for sharing.
As a baby Christian (with so much to learn, a lifetime of questions & the constant discovery of new rabbit holes to fall down & explore!!!) this is SO HELPFUL!!!!! Thank you!! 🙏
These types of comments are why I do this channel! I am so blessed to know that God is using these videos to help others! Thank you for the comment, God bless! 💛
Ahh! And it makes me happy to know you feel appreciated - as you should! 💐 Can I ask what study Bible you’re using there, not sure I can stretch to the study books (but it’s tempting...so let’s see....) but I think I’ll just go ahead and get myself a purpose made for study Bible and the one you’re using looks good. Many thanks again ❤️
@@shelleyscloud3651 a study Bible can be so helpful especially when new to studying the Bible! I would highly recommend the NLT Illustrated Study Bible, it is very easy to understand and gives lots of good context. Here is the link. amzn.to/3JkhiUy

thank you so much for this 'guide'... absolutely informative and a system i am unreservedly going to start using as soon as my journaling bible arrives...thank you as well for recommending the Bible Handbook...will certainly purchase.
I need this one. I kind of do this anyway but I think it would be good to solidify a routine for learning about the background and history before I start reading. And I had a guy challenge me at church and he made me feel stupid and I know that I am not.
Very good system you have and I admire the way you study the Lord's word.I pretty much do the same thing with a couple of different versions of the bible and a couple of bible commentaries and quite a few composition notebooks I get at the dollar tree, keep the faith and thanks for sharing😅😅
Anybody know where the Israelites were before they were enslaved by the Egyptians? I’ve always wondered but haven’t seen any explanations. I like how you study and because I’m old and my memory is atrocious I think I’ll try your method.
Glad this study method can be helpful to you! The Israelites were in the land of Canaan before they were went to Egypt. Read Genesis chapters 37-47 and Exodus chapter 1. This explains how they went from Canaan to becoming enslaved in Egypt. In Genesis 37:1 it says Jacob lived in the land of Canaan and from there you can follow the story. Hope this helps! 😊
Writing it out does help with retention. Thanks for sharing all of this. I never thought about gathering and putting it in my Bible.
