This is a remake, so if you've seen the videos from yesterday & this morning, you won't learn anything new here! I was convinced by a wrongful comment (yes, seriously) that a certain method of crafting the Physical Amulets would work, and it simply doesn't. So I decided to remake the guide including every single Amulet type and also including a "why it works this way" portion of the video! Hopefully this is helpful to aspiring crafters! Phys is still technically minorly different because you can use a remove non-phys add phys when your suffixes are multimod, prefixes can't be changed, and cannot roll attack mods, but it'll be 1/3 to brick the item if it removes the cannot roll attack mods (well, less the 1/24 you have of adding +1 phys anyways). This doesn't work on the elemental mods because when you remove a suffix you can also add back a resistance, which isn't an attack mod. Probably not a good idea to do it on an item with a good second prefix when it's 1/3 to brick, but if you have an imprint and a blue base, this might save you some cash if you're aware of it and aug phys skyrockets (and the market research was not promising). Alternatively, we can hope that Rog will be Pog enough able to keep prices down. But if Rog works the way I think he does +2 should show up in only about 1/500 Rog reroll-prefixes-10-times. On the other hand, you should literally see nothing but +max res on shields from such rerolls.
I like your method but I think that you can make it cheaper. Indeed, if you have 1/3 of bricking it then there is a cheaper way to try and hit it : - Alt spam untill you get the +1 as a prefix and an empty suffix (it might be good to imprint / annul the suffix if getting the +1 is expensive and imprints are cheap enough) - Craft "cannot roll attack modifier" - Imprint - Regal Then you have 2 options : 1) If you regal a bad prefix you can annul it + use the non-phys to phys, 1/2 chance to brick which is higher but it only costs 1 imprint + 1 regal + 1 annul per try instead of 6 exalts + imprint AND you don't have to scour your suffixes (2 ex saved). 2) If you regal a suffix then use the non-phys to phys, 1/3 chance to brick, same as the other method, but it only costs 1 imprint + 1 regal per try instead of 6 exalts + imprint. If the suffix is good you keep it, otherwise you scour it (2 ex). You can also use augment phys instead of non-phys to phys which is more expensive but guaranteed to add the +1 phys
If we wanted to get a chaos damage multi, what would be the best route? Get the 2 +1's, craft life, then hunter augment? If it didn't work, replace life with prefixes can't be changed and keep rerolling chaos with harvest crafts? would have to replace the meta mod everytime. So probably use the chaos mods are more likely. Oh ... hmm, that would give chaos damage leech as a possible prefix, so no life then. hmm

Great guide but either I'm doing something wrong or ... wth ... I have an iLvl 85 Onxy Amulet and after over 2000 Alterations I'm still stuck on Step 1 ... help
You‘ll need one suffix on that amulet. If you have zero suffix, you can craft aspect of the spider on it. Aspect of the spider works well on chaos build. But if you have one any suffix other than aspect of spider, it’ll work perfectly fine as well. So make sure the amulet have one suffix and two open suffix to continue crafting.
I actually thought it wasn’t explained well… At least that it does not matter “more” than other suffixes, it’s just that you’re able to add it by itself without screwing the rest of the item up, if you need a suffix added (like the above comment mentioned) Just thought I’d add that for clarity. :) gg

I tried doing the chaos amu on Craft of Exile and sometimes i get chaos damage leeched as life instead of +1 chaos gems with the reforge chaos craft. What am I doing wrong?
nothing, its just that right now, you need hunter influence for +1, but in 3.17, you will no longer need it, since +1 chaos will be in the regular pool of mods, not influenced. Hence why this guide is (3.17 Updated)

On Craftofexile, if I have an item with "Can have up to 3 Crafted Modifiers" + "Prefixes Cannot Be Changed" + "Suffixes Cannot Be Changed" and reroll with Harvest, these meta mods remain. Is this how it works in-game?
Yep, had a few spare exalts to test in standard and it does work like that. Metamods are not deleted, and it makes sense because one is preventing the other from getting removed.

What the diff between reforge phys or anything or whatever when I do reforge crit on onslaught boots with suff cannot be change I get just elusive on crit without breaking the item, what diff there if I do 3crafted pref cannot be changed cannot roll attack reforge what I need?
If I understand correctly reforges first try to clear everything, then add everything. So: Your boots example: If you have suffix cannot be changed, when reforge tries to clear everything it follows the rule of suffix cannot be changed. You get to keep tailwind or whatever is in your suffixes. However the Suffix cannot be changed MOD itself will be cleared in the process (so will all prefixes on the boots). After that it will try to do the add portion of the reforge. In the case of crit reforge, the only mod that has the Critical tag is elusive on crit so it guarantees that appearing. Path of Matths amulet example: With 3crafted + prefix cannot be changed + cannot roll attack, first it will try to clear everything. The clearing will follow the prefix cannot be changed, so prefixes dont get cleared. This allows you to keep the +1 to all gem levels prefix mod. However all three of those bench crafted mods are suffix mods, so all three get cleared. Now when the reforge tries to do the add portion of the reforge, there are no rules that apply anymore. So you can still get attack mods. That is why the reforge doesnt guarantee the second +1 gem mod. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I am still learning this stuff.

Hey Matth, I crafted a plus 2 wand with incr. Crit strike for spells 54% with spell damage implicit of 30ish. Is it viable thing to run or is the Cold iron point still a better choice?
I think one part of the guide is wrong. The alternative method for physical should be "if you hit a Suffix, you need to Annul it. If you hit a Prefix, keep going" instead of "if you hit a Prefix, you need to Annul it. If you hit a Suffix, keep going." Because you need to craft multimod, cannot roll attack and prefixes cannot be changed (3 suffixes needed).
This is mostly correct, but partly...false? Suboptimal? If you hit the prefix on the regal, you can continue crafting, but you'll have a dead prefix (unless you hit T4 life or es, lol). Especially if you consider further improving on the suffixes, it would be a waste to not get the prefixes right. Unless you want to sell this +2 and do the whole process again, of course
hi, im new and a little confused at the moment, I bought a fractured agate amulet that came with a crit chance already which can't be changed, I scoured it then able to get a +1 all skills on it, regaled it, got a prefix, annuled it and got rid of that prefix, now im left with a rare amulet with crit chance that cant be changed and +1 all skills, now I should craft can have 3 crafted mods and cannot roll attack mods? I really don't get the aspect part, I've never used the menagerie and don't have that option, only done his missions, I really don't wanna mess it up since I'm crafting on the cheap haha. Also I'm not familiar with harvest since I missed that league, it had a lot of changes since then right? Does it still have the augment option? It's just extremely rare right? Also does warlord exalt does the same thing as the augment? As in guarantee +1 physical? you need to do "non-phys to phys", which is from harvest, not bestiary. You also need to craft on "prefixes cannot be changed" and "cannot roll attack mods" but you have SUFFIX (crit chance) which is fractured, so you CANNOT do this safely. you NEED 3 open suffix. What you can is simply craft "cannot roll attack mods" and then augment phys, this will guarantee +1 phys

@@suyan9733 no sir, you need to have cannot roll attack mods to get +1 phys skill gems, but you ALSO need prefixes cannot be changed to lock in your +1 all skills. So for you if you craft cannot roll attack mods and do non phys to phys, it's a 50% chance to hit the craft and 50% chance to hit your +1 all. To guarantee +1 phys you need to augment phys with cannot roll attack mods.
For SSF I guess I probably won't get a lot of love as I simply don't want to farm up 1800+ alts for a 63% chance ... 5000+ for a 95% chance. Funny thing is under the old system it was easy for me to get +2. Now, given I don't want to farm for alt-spam --- wouldn't mind conqueror farming mind you -- I'm just left out in the cold/
nope, this has always been this way ever since harvest pretty much, sometime during harvest, this was changed, because remove/adds use to respect metamods and one day they just stopped, which changed the crafting meta a lot, I clearly remember trying to get +1 power charge on a helm with insane suffixes and it randomly became impossible since it no longer respects "cannot roll caster" and it would keep giving me the flat dmg to spells from hunter influence prefixes

None of the new currencies will apply to this, as this is jewelry and the new currency all only apply to Eldritch items. These items can only be Boots, Gloves, Helmets and Body Armours!
The +2 Chaos will require you to have no other prefixes because of the required metacrafts, the other ones, you totally can have another prefix but I would only go forward if that other prefix is good, remember that you are investing an augment, better not waste it on a sub-par item!
step no 1 is hell, spent 3k alterations and around 1k augments on an amulet with fractured sufix DoT multiplier and still cannot hit +1 to all gems, crafting this is just not worth it
For +2 Chaos, am I missing something? You need ilvl 82 hunter influenced amulet for +1 all chaos, but the issue is, there's another, much common chaos prefix: %of chaos damage leeched as life. This means it's not guaranteed, it's only like 1 in 5 chance to hit +1 all chaos with harvest craft. I'm really new to this, so an explanation would be greatly appreciated
I figured that "%chaos damage leeched as life" used to have "resource" tag, not "chaos," but now in poedb it shows as "chaos." Does that mean this method no longer works?

Augment, that's the craft. Augment an item including an X modifier

yes, its not +level of ALL skill gems, not Int anymore :)
Which reforge ? is it harvest reforge? Reforge a Normal, Magic or Rare item as a Rare item with random modifiers, including a Chaos modifier

I was wondering about that. Can you remove the metamods afterwards? If we read it literally they should be locked in place.

possibly! we don't know yet!

None of the new currencies will apply to this, as this is jewelry and the new currency all only apply to Eldritch items.
These items can only be Boots, Gloves, Helmets and Body Armours!

Nope. If you get that, it would be insane though. Best bet would probably be a ton of faceted spamming?

You say you want nothing but +1 on your ammy prefixes to start, but at the same time you say to buy one with +1 and life/wed/es... which is it?
The +2 Chaos will require you to have no other prefixes because of the required metacrafts, the other ones, you totally can have another prefix but I would only go forward if that other prefix is good, remember that you are investing an augment, better not waste it on a sub-par item!

To anyone trying to do the +2 chaos amulet, harvest reforge doesn't respect "cannot roll attack mods" so you have to aug still

step no 1 is hell, spent 3k alterations and around 1k augments on an amulet with fractured sufix DoT multiplier and still cannot hit +1 to all gems, crafting this is just not worth it
For +2 Chaos, am I missing something? You need ilvl 82 hunter influenced amulet for +1 all chaos, but the issue is, there's another, much common chaos prefix: %of chaos damage leeched as life. This means it's not guaranteed, it's only like 1 in 5 chance to hit +1 all chaos with harvest craft. I'm really new to this, so an explanation would be greatly appreciated
I figured that "%chaos damage leeched as life" used to have "resource" tag, not "chaos," but now in poedb it shows as "chaos." Does that mean this method no longer works?
