There is no surprise about the success of the 991.2 series because it is the most beautiful of the modern GT3s. more beautiful and proportionate than the 992, furthermore the performances are very similar. watching many gt3 videos and reading comments I see that the 991.2 is the most appreciated and desired by enthusiasts. I think its success will last a long time.

@@A1waysSo2 Nope, the difference comes down the driver and the tires. Moreover, the 992 GT3 can't get close to the 991.2 GT3 RS, I know I've tried and have a lot of track experience (5 seasons Cup). Even the 992 GT3 RS comes down to tires. No question in my mind the 991.2 GT cars are the best yet made and I've owned 20+ Porsche sports cars.

@@A1waysSo2 991.2 lapped the ring slower by about 12 seconds but with Michelin Cup2 while 992 lapped Cup2R. if the 991.2 runs with cup2r tires the difference is probably reduced to 5/6 seconds on a circuit of over 20 km.
on a "normal" track the difference is very little. probably the 992 is a little easier to push to the limit, that's all. plus the 991.2 is less filtered, the sound is nicer and the engine is fuller

Not tons of market data on these, but from what I’ve been able to gather, a “higher” mileage car with low options (no PCCBs or sport buckets) will sell in the $160-$170 range. A lower mileage car with desirable options will sell for $180-$190k. PTS cars are all $200k+

I'm seeing Clubsports for as little as €190k, purchasing power should start to trend up but you won't see speculation too early. Equity markets sitting at all-time highs in Europe would indicate a strong economy 12-18 months out.
