That's it decided Scott - our next challenge is table tennis. trophy is coming home :D That skysail is so retro btw, love it! I agree with Blair - a 10/10 all day long!
Hello Scott & Blair!! Thanks for bringing me along on your adventures!! I will probably never see Australia in person but tagging along with you and Blair fulfills that wish!! Cheers!! Chuck in Northern New England
This brought back so many memories. Me, my wife and daughter were in Cairns in 2008, stayed in the same hotel and did Kuranda and the reef. We still talk about it regularly. You and Blair will do the same in the future I'm sure. Thanks for another good one
Thanks so much to you taking Blair and US on a trip that 95% of your followers will never see in person. So glad for Blair to see Oz through his Dad’s experiences growing up there. Have a wonderful trip and I will be following every second you recorded down there! 😻🇨🇦
Watching your Oz adventure is pure escapism from the meteorological rubbish in the UK. Did the Skyrail and Kuranda Scenic Railway back in August 96. Also did the snorkeling trip on the Reef and along with a fabulous trip to Normanby Island. Great to see again with you and Blair - looking forward to the Alice and Perth vlogs. Many thanks. 👍
Greetings from Canada! 🇨🇦 I was in Cairns just three weeks ago! I did the Kuranda trip in the opposite direction and enjoyed the many Rainforestation activities there. I was on a different excursion to the Great Barrier Reef. Overall, two very enjoyable days and I was just as exhausted as you two were afterwards. I flew to Cairns from Uluru, which was the highlight of my Australian adventure!
I'm loving watching your adventures with your son, who by the way, is a lovely young man. You're obviously a great Dad. All the best and looking forward to seeing more 😊
That was a great video Scott brought back memories when me and my wife done the same trip from Cairns a few years ago, we stayed in a hotel right opposite the Lido, great times there....need to get back again to Oz.....
Took the same trip, with my Brother, over 20 years ago, only we also visited an Aboriginal site (at the top of the rainforest) where we were treated to a Dream Time re-enactment of how our world (according to Aboriginal folklore) began - with a Cassowary Egg.. 🥚🌐 It was great to have visited The Earth's oldest rainforest! 👌 ✨ Brings back some very fond, emotional memories.
Another FABULOUS VIDEO. I’ve wanted to do an Aussie trip for many years, now I can do it vicariously through your videos. Keep the GREAT CONTENT Coming!!! Kind regards. Kevin 😎☀️
Hey Scott, Aussie here been watching your travels for a UK holiday incl London to Edinb train Sept 2025 and 👏👏. So glad to see your Sydney and Cairns stuff. Once a dad of teenage boy now a boomer, just loving the memories with my boy through you and Blair. 😊. Many thanks, enjoy Oz and beers.😉
The cable car and the nature reserve were my favourites. Love that tree. If you have a fear of death that’s what you should be. Poor Blair. I hope he had an okay night. I hate sunburn so much!
Well Scott 10/10 for the video Blair looked a happy chappie on your day out so did you 😊 hope Blair didnt suffer to much with the suburn ? Look forward to nxt video i did Alice springs and AyersRock in late 90s 😊
Great video Scott. I was in Cairns in 1992 and 1993. Very beautiful and not as built up then as you show now. Great food and trips tho. Bring on the Ulluru trip!
Brings back memories did the same tours but I went gold and got the champers and nibbles on the train on the way back down. Also enjoyed the town up there too. And snorkelling was great too. Will be good to see Uluru next.
Amazing video and so many lovely pictures, views ,waterfalls just beautiful, glad you both are enjoying your holiday, and l haven't heard you say once Im Starving!!!!!!!😅
Great stuff again!! Did the circular tour in 2003 - the other way round I think. Upon arrival at Kuranda in the searing heat a couple of doors down was a hot pie shop serving about 20 different varieties. There were three women working and the place was packed! Aussies love their pies. Never got to the outer reef but went to Green Island which was great. Looking forward to the next instalment - been to Uluru but not Alice. Need to go before it's too late.
The train and the cable cars in the Blue Mountians are the scariest things ive ever been on in my life. Never again lol nevet again. Loving this trip yous are on in Oz. Thanks for sharing take care
I enjoyed this, brought back memories, I have visited Cairns twice before, both times the barrier reef and Kuranda, but the 2nd visit was with my wife & we also visited a croc farm a few miles away by car (car hire is easy, they drive on left like us). Must visit again before my long distance travelling days are over. Top destination, well worth the effort in getting there.
I know Blair dosnt say much in the vids but thats normal for alot of teenagers and especially when been put on a youtube vid can be a bit nervous ,id say he would love to say alot more but hasnt got the confidence yet , he will gain more confidence when he is out with scott and it will be great to hear his views on the trips ,
Thank you for this video, it makes me think fondly of when I was there in July 1989. Carins and the area was one of greatest travel experiences in my life. I took the train to Kuranda both ways into the rainforest. I did a day out snorkling on the Great Barrier Reef, saw beautiful fish, a giant clam, coral of all kinds likely much better then than today as global warming damaging it. I also took a Land Cruiser trip to an 'edge of the outback' run like 75 miles inland, toured some caves, saw where some of the stones used in the then new Australian Capitol building in Canberra. I also went swimming on a beach north of town - one that had topless women 🤑 Earlier I was in Sydney, drove through Canberra, the SE coast to Melborne, then inland through Canberra back to Sydney.
Myself and my family did the same trip to Kuranda but in reverse . Up to Kuranda by train down by Skyrail in 2023. Fantastic day but humid. Love your vlog. .
The problem is that his dad just points the camera at him and always asks simple yes/no questions. If he said something like "What has been the highlight of your trip?" or "How do you think Cairns nightlife compares to the UK", he might just say a bit more than "Yeah". So - in closing - it's dad's fault, not Blair's.
He's a teenager and that's how they communicate these days, my 17 year old grandson is the same no conversation only yes, no, good, ok, is all I get from him😂
I’ve been out to the Great Barrier Reef, albeit quite a few years ago. My wife and I snorkelled and fed the fish. My son scuba-dived. I landed on a coral cay to photograph seabirds. It was pretty horribly commercialised back then, but looks even worse now. I enjoyed visiting Cairns, but even that looks spoilt by tourism. Two or three times, I visited a place called the Mareeba Wetlands a few miles north of Cairns, which brief recent research suggests no longer exists. Along with maybe one or two locations in the USA and India, it was the most interesting place in respect of wildlife I have ever been - and I’m quite well-travelled. I had considered returning to Queensland, but after seeing your video, I don’t think I’ll bother. Thanks for the heads-up. I hope you both enjoyed it, but I think I’ll stick with my memories.
Thanks for the vid, I was watched it here in a wet windy Devon and it brought back great memories. I did all three of those experiences about 15 years and I remember I loved it. It is a great place and definitely want to go back one day
When Blair was sitting without a hat and shirt, it was going one of two ways, he would get burned and Scott would keep quiet about it or Scott would mention it. I think the latter was a good way to go, so many don't understand how sneakily burny that QLD sun is. The poor lad.
The Oz trip reports are spot on. My home state.. didn't know you live in Paisley. Recently had a day in Paisley. A guided tour would have been brilliant.
Did this a few years ago, went on the pistol range at Kurunda,, and the trip out to the reef for diving and snorkling, brilliant time there, memories!!
Ooi Scott, yea it seems that Kuranda is a Trap! ;-). Lovely to see you bonding with your son down there ;-). Thanks for the new upload. Ill invite the wife to watch the next one with me due to ulluru. Thanks and have a great day!
Hey Scott. I like your trip to Australia so much. As a spectator I visited the Sydney Olympics and hade a roundtrip trew Aussieland before. I did exect the same things in Cairns. Snorceling at the reef and the Kuranda train also. Sadly my own videos I filmed during the tour is lost and so I like to see your stuff even more. Thank you
Great video as usual, your son doesn't seem very interested but I might be wrong. Reminds me of when I took my 15 year old son to New Zealand north and south island, snowy southern alps to the warn vibrant city of Auckland, stopped off Singapore 5 days on the way back. He then admitted he preferred the mini holiday in the west country. Gutted....
That's it decided Scott - our next challenge is table tennis. trophy is coming home :D That skysail is so retro btw, love it! I agree with Blair - a 10/10 all day long!
You should ask Flixbus to put a table tennis table on board for TH-cam purposes...
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Kept waiting on Ant and Dec popping up...
Excellent video scott...young Blair is a lovely lad and he's lucky to have you as his dad...Great traveling team.
You know you've made the right choice when a smiling teenager gives you a 10 out of 10 rating.
Great to follow your adventures!
I wish I’d had such quality time with my dad. You’re creating memories that will be priceless 😊
What a strange experience for Blair seeing his dad get recognised by randoms half way round the world!
Hello Scott & Blair!! Thanks for bringing me along on your adventures!! I will probably never see Australia in person but tagging along with you and Blair fulfills that wish!! Cheers!!
Chuck in Northern New England
Your son is very lucky to have a dad that takes him on fun trips and interesting places
This brought back so many memories. Me, my wife and daughter were in Cairns in 2008, stayed in the same hotel and did Kuranda and the reef. We still talk about it regularly. You and Blair will do the same in the future I'm sure. Thanks for another good one
My dad was a peace of poo so watching this makes me wish he was not you are an epic dad
Hi another excellent video from Australia. Cairns looks beautiful and i really enjoy these videos.
Bloody hell Australia looks nice.
Thanks so much to you taking Blair and US on a trip that 95% of your followers will never see in person. So glad for Blair to see Oz through his Dad’s experiences growing up there. Have a wonderful trip and I will be following every second you recorded down there! 😻🇨🇦
Young Blair isn't a real chatterbox is he lol. But his cheeky smile shows he is enjoying himself.
In bed with man flu catching up with your down under trip.. Bring back memories of 30yrs ago thx both for sharing
Never had a chance to go on holiday with my father.Great you're doing this with your son
Blair seems to have downloaded a couple of new expressions since the last one, even a smile for pool use!
Watching your Oz adventure is pure escapism from the meteorological rubbish in the UK. Did the Skyrail and Kuranda Scenic Railway back in August 96. Looks like you both had a fabulous time in Cairns it looked beautiful. Pleased you are creating precious memories with your lovely son Blair 😊

Great day out. Loved the look of the rainforest leg. Really enjoy your travels with Blair. I have great memories of travels with my parents.
I know I’ll never get to Australia, so just so appreciative to get to see all you’ve shown!! And the snorkeling sights must have been amazing!! 🐠🪸
Thanks Scot. This has been a great series in Australia. Shame you and Blair weren't here longer.👍🇦🇺
Great video as always, giving your son such life moments
Priceless
That must have set you back a bit Scott....Next 20 videos will all be in Paisley...
Do watch again so he can make up the shortfall with advertising revenue.
Another FABULOUS VIDEO. I’ve wanted to do an Aussie trip for many years, now I can do it vicariously through your videos. Keep the GREAT CONTENT Coming!!! Kind regards. Kevin 😎☀️

Hi really enjoyed this Vlog , so envious 😊
Wow! Wonderful trips on the Skyrail, and the Barrier Reef outing. Hope Blair didn'y suffer too much with his sunburn.
The cable car and the nature reserve were my favourites. Love that tree. If you have a fear of death that’s what you should be.
Poor Blair. I hope he had an okay night. I hate sunburn so much!
Blink 3 times with your left eye if you’ve been kidnapped Blair 😂
Well Scott 10/10 for the video Blair looked a happy chappie on your day out so did you 😊 hope Blair didnt suffer to much with the suburn ? Look forward to nxt video i did Alice springs and AyersRock in late 90s 😊

Nice trip. Greeting from 🇵🇱
Enjoyed today's episode 😊
Blair should start his own TH-cam channel called "Yeah"
He obviously doesn't get paid by the word. Seems like a nice young chap though.
The problem is that his dad just points the camera at him and always asks simple yes/no questions.
