Catching Finicky Summer Bass at Coldwater Lake Michigan

The weather had been scorching hot and the water temps had risen quickly. The bass were starting to move into their summer homes, and I was able to find some hanging next to drop offs. However, the bite was quite finicky and I had to slow my approach way down. Hope you enjoy!

How is the kayak holding up? I just got the same one you have but with the Prop Pedal drive.

Very well! I'd suggest not dragging it, using skid tape, or a cart to transport it to and from the water however otherwise it can easily scratch!

Why doesn't this lake carry more volume in bigger LM Bass. Been fishing this lake as a kid for years at my grandpas cottage and its disappointing. Bunch of just below average bass, volume is good, size is not especially for chain of lakes fishery.

Agree, wish there were mor big bass! I've caught a few 4-5 pounders the last few years, but they are hard to come by!
