Fun Fall Fishing Adventure! #fishing
Fall is finally here, yet there are still a few fish biting despite the dropping air temps. I headed out for a morning fishing trip and found a few fish swimming around. The key to fall fishing is covering water till you can find where the hungry fish are! Hope you enjoy!

Catching a Huge Lake St. Clair Smallmouth Bass #kayakfishing
มุมมอง 98หลายเดือนก่อน
I headed out to Lake St. Clair on the first Tuesday of September hoping to catch a bunch of smallmouth bass. I launched my kayak at Selfridge boat launch and headed down the seawall to start where I found some nice largemouth. I then headed out deeper in search of some Smallies where I struggled for a while before catching a great one. Hope you enjoy! #fishing #lakestclair # kayakbassfishing #k...

With a few hours to spare after work, I decided to hit the water and maybe catch a few fish. At first, a few fish were caught. Then, a giant destroyed my bait and off we went! Hi😊
Hello
@@fishingwitht-ravis9618 hey man
Why are you gay?
Where ya fishing at?
Small neighborhood pond!
Beautiful spot
It really is!
Yah
No that’s crazy
Awesome review. Can you do one showing the design of the bottom?
I can when I have some time, but until then you should be able to see the bottom on BKC website. It is rather flat (for balance) with a large front keel to break waves and cut through the water. The back has 3 fins to help the water flow evenly out the back allowing for better turning with the rudder and less drag.
@@fishingwitht-ravis9618 I might be the only person who don't see the bottom on their site lol. I really like the old pk11 "W" bottom (similar to Hobie's).
@tdok I also don't see it now, but they did have it at one point. Look up the old town sportsman 106, it's similar except with a shallower dip in the middle and extra fins on the edges on the back.
CHUNGK
Confused why the Bass in these chain lakes dont grow big
a 3-4lb LM bass veryyy rare
Agreed, but at least there are usually good volume!
Awesome video mate! Nice fish!! I make fishing videos myself and always look forward to watching yours! Keep up the good job! 💪🤝💪
Thanks and you too! I also enjoy watching your vids!
Do you get to pick which drive system you want with it? I saw on the website it had the propeller drive but didn’t see an option for the flipper drive which I am wanting.
It should have that option available if not you can send an email to their customer service after ordering and they will ammend your order for you!
I love the design but too heavy for me to put on a kayak rack! Wishing I was fishing! 😎👍<“)//>{Tim ♥️✝️
Always wishing I was fishing! Also, you could try putting the front end against the car on a rag then lifting the back to slide it into the rack, just a thought!
@@fishingwitht-ravis9618 I did some thinking on what you suggested; I believe that if I use a fully wet shammy as the contact slider from the backside of our Prius, I may be able to manage to get up on top of our car! Big bites, full baskets and God’s blessing to you! 👍<“)//>{Tim ♥️✝️
Hope it works! I've seen it done on a few TH-cam vids before!
Looks like a fun time, nice crappies 🐟
Thank, it was!
What is the ratio on the gear drive
I honestly don't know and couldn't find anything online, sorry :(
Are you like a video ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Unsure
Is this ottawa county??
No, it is Mongo, Indiana in Lagrange County!
Have you had issues with compatability with the track system? Ive read bad things about that. People say they cant find accesories that will fit it
I have not. I bought a camera mount for a go pro, screwed right in, locked, and works fine! All you need is something to screw into that when tight will not come out of rail (comes with 2 metal pieces for this, need to add others for more mounting).
How is the kayak holding up? I just got the same one you have but with the Prop Pedal drive.
Very well! I'd suggest not dragging it, using skid tape, or a cart to transport it to and from the water however otherwise it can easily scratch!
great video, gets to the point and nice and educational. keep it up man
Will do!
Awesome video man, glad you're like our new and improved 10.5 Pro!
Thanks! Have loved both kayaks I have purchased from you!
Thats how you do it! Go fish where no one dares to go. Awesome fishing!
Thanks! Can catch some big fish that way!
@@fishingwitht-ravis9618nice vid. What lake is this at
It's a small private lake I luckily have access to!
Does it have reverse?
The propeller drive one does, the flipper drive does not! You have to either turn with the rudder or use the paddle to reverse with the flipper drive!
Which model did you get? The 10.5’ model listed on brooklyn’s website shows a propeller drive instead of the flipper style like you have. Or does it come with both propulsion types?
They should have the choice between the propeller, flipper, or a trolling motor! You can purchase the others separately.
Why doesn't this lake carry more volume in bigger LM Bass. Been fishing this lake as a kid for years at my grandpas cottage and its disappointing. Bunch of just below average bass, volume is good, size is not especially for chain of lakes fishery.
Agree, wish there were mor big bass! I've caught a few 4-5 pounders the last few years, but they are hard to come by!
We liked it! T&G
Much Appreciated! Glad you enjoyed!
Does this have a spot for a transducer recessed into the hull on the bottom?
I do not believe there is a spot for that specific purpose, but there are many scupper plugs and room where the pedal drive goes that could probably be used.
awesome video!
dude i know this is one of the best videos
bro i don't know about that....
Thanks!
stellar!!!
i know right!
nahhh i dont think so...
Thanks!
Bought one 5 years ago and never failed me, got the 1 piece version MH, slapped a Pflueger president on it and it casts like a dream even after all these years.
The Berkely rods are just really good for the money!
I just got one only because of the name. Okeechobee Fl is my home town. I just found mine in Ohio.
Hopefully it works well for you!
My favorite. Hard to walk into Bass Pro and not buy one, just because!
Nice man what did you use?
Just a Texas rigged 6" curly tailed worm in electric blue! It seems to catch a lot of bass for me!
Great review. Mine arrives tomorrow. Btw, the second side straps are used to hold your rods up. Thanks again!
Please help me with the left side handle.
First you screw off the cap on the opposite of the handle then while holding the bail unscrew the handle in the opposite direction of normal reeling motion. Then move handle to other side (must be perfectly aligned to screw onto left side) and slowly screw on in direction that you'd reel in. Once it starts to tighten, hold bail and keep turning until it is firmly tight. Then replace cap on opposite side you just installed the handle.
Thank you. This rod/reel has basically been unusable for me because of the retrieve. The explanation on BPS made zero sense. Your explanation was great!
I'm glad I could help!
Nice action this rod
I just picked up one of these after circling the rod racks at Runnings for over an hour and playing with a ton of more expensive rods. This felt the best to me and if it was marked for $49.99 or even $59.99 I would have believed it. I picked up a 13 fishing kalon 3.0 blackout reel for it for $54 on sale. I can’t wait to get it strung up with some beyond braid and out on the water. I think it’s going to be a great setup and saves me money to rebuild my tackle selection.
It definitely has a wonderful feel for the price! Hopefully it works well for you!
I feel like I catch the most top water on jitter bugs. By far my favorite👍
I like a frog blow up more, but the jitterbug catches them!
Your a small TH-camr I wish you luck in the future and have fun
Will do!
@@fishingwitht-ravis9618 👌🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great Video !!
Thank you!
It was slow on the Randall chain too
The bite seems to be all over the place with the weather always changing. Like today I caught 10-12 good ones at Coldwater Lake, but they were pretty spread out (some aggressive others not as much).
First
Those lightning rods are dope
Agreed!
@fishingwitht-ravis9618 what length is yours? I got the 7' but I wanna get 7'6 or 8'
Mine is the 7' medium, fast action tip
Nice fish
Thanks!
Is it really only 44lbs?? Thats crazy light. How "tippy" is it?
It is very light, I can carry with one hand and lift over my head! It is not very tippy while sitting down, you can reach pretty far over each side, but to stay standing you need some balance.
That’s a fun day! And what a slab crappie
It was fun! Always nice to be back out on the water!
@@fishingwitht-ravis9618 I bet!
Great review. Im wondering how many total scupper holes are there? Also, are the two storage bins water proof?
I believe there are 6 scupper plugs total (2 in the foot wells, 2 by the seat, and 2 in the back storage area). And they are supposed to be waterproof, but that entails ensuring it seals properly. I have also not fully submerged them, but from normal splash or rain everything inside stays dry.
Are they all size fits all?
No, they have a standard and small size. I believe some styles are designed larger, but the main two sizes for most pairs should work well for anyone else.
I bought the timbers, i have a narrow face, i actually got the standard size which are 145mm across the front, I contacted them and asked if i could exchange them for the small and they said yes, I actually exchanged 3 pairs for the smalls and they fit great. You have to check, not all glasses have different sizes, scroll down to the fit icon and it will tell you if they have smalls. The smalls are 138mm across the front. If you get the Signature Style, those are 140mm and they fit great too. I have 10 pairs, I know I have a problem, LOL, but I just love their color selection. Hope this helps. Their customer service is fantastic if you have an issue too.
Used for 7 years and never had a problem. Excellent. From Thailand.
So far I have really liked it, so good to hear it also has good durability!
Used to fish the Skyway Pier back when it was still the Skyway Bridge. Long walk to get out...
Yup, definitely drove out to where I was!
Three lessons learned - if you leave your bait bucket unattended the birds will eat the bait. If you leave your large fish pole unattended the hooked fish will yank it in the water. And if you leave your hook and sinker dangling above the waterline a bird will fly by, get hooked and drag the pole in the water. And it's likely that bird will die a slow and painful death. But the FWC's mandatory Skyway Pier fishing course is supposed to address all these issues and more.
