  • So yeah, I felt like it needs to be done cause there's nothing on yt about these. Hope that will help someone. I bought both devices, not sponsored.
    I tried them also with guilty gear strive, sf6 and mk1 works fine with all of that games. Also there is a 8 min disconnection problem on ps4 but I've read that you can fix it easily (software fix)
    I will try to answer any question about them but most of them are answered on the haute42 discord (i cant link it here but they have it on their website)

    Nice review. I think the G and T series Haute42 controllers are a really good budget option, especially with the screen and the USB passthrough port for PS5 support. The G16 feels a bit fancier and higher quality than the Flatbox rev 5 but it's being sold for a similar price which is pretty crazy.
    I think the actuation force on these default switches is a little too light. Sometimes I find I'm crouching when I was just trying to rest my hand on the buttons, or I accidentally do an attack I wasn't trying to because they're so sensitive. It should be easy to swap out but I haven't tried it yet. I can see through the bottom they have standard hotswap sockets.
    Funny you say it's too small for lap-play. I actually do play with my G16 on my lap. I guess you gotta keep your legs pretty close together, but I already had to do that with the Flatbox I used before and this is a very similar size, just slightly less wide. I would've maybe got the T16 if I had waited a few more days / done more research before getting my G16 also.
    BTW your volume levels were a bit inconsistent with some parts quiet and some loud in this video. When you started talking about the switches maybe you were closer to the mic. I think that could be normalized in your editor. It would also be cool if you had subtitles for people with hearing issues or who just wanna watch with low/no volume.

      @baku4471  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, that's a chunky comment :D
      So yeah, about the switches I usually don't rest fingers on them so this never was a problem, at least for me. But they're hot swappable so I would just swap them for cherry MX red I guess (they should fit)
      For lap play, I mean I did that and it's possible but not that comfortable as rac-j800 or the T13 that I'm currently trying out (and it will be probably my main device, that thing is awesome :D)

      @baku4471  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh, and about volume. I realized that after posting XD
      But subtitles generated automatically and they're mostly accurate ;)

      @@baku4471 The switches were in there really tight. Looks like the stock ones have two extra plastic posts holding them in compared to the switches I put in there. I went with gateron pro silvers. I had some around from using them in Open-Frame1 builds. They're just a bit heavier and seem like an improvement. I just put them in the four direction spots for now to try out, may or may not replace more switches later.

      @theyassinez1 I'm glad you liked it :D this review was more like an experiment in free time. Now I don't have that much time but I'm planning to do haute T13 review as soon as I can. Also I wanted to try snackbox controllers but they're not that cheap and hardly available :/

    Cool! Choosing between S16 and G16, do you find the full size switch comfortable for longer play? And another question, do you prefer this little mixbox one, that looks like a keyboard, for anything at all? Thanks!

    Thanks for the reviews. My main concern is size, but sadly the T-series seem to be way heavier with the aluminum (alloy or whatever) casing. But I'm still debating whether the G will be too small for me.

      In this case controller doesn't matter, I have the same backdash speed on all leverless controllers. And in the upcoming T8 you don't even want to backdash to quickly, timing is more important :)

    Hi man loved this review and i just ordered ! its my first hitbox and tbh the only thing that i'm scared about is that button next to jump in the left, like do you miss and tap it or it is well placed ?
    Edit: I got mine and the button doesnt bother me at all and i never miss input or smtg so you guys are safe haha and the hitbox is so good highly recommended you wont regret it :)

    Hello, to use it on a PC is it necessary to buy some type of adapter?
    Or just plug it in and play.

    • @baku4471

      Yes, for PC it's plug and play (default mode is xinput) so you don't need to do anything additional ;)

    Will it also work with large hands ?

    • @baku4471
      @baku4471  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you have large hands I think the T13 or T16 will suit you better ;)
      My hands are probably average size and T13/16 feels better for me personally so for large hands it would be even better option in my opinion. Buttons are bigger and more spread out and it's easier to play on lap :)
