Anybody else fall asleep watching a random car video, and then wake up to a PowerNation video??? I swear this has happened to me several times before lol. Autoplay always comes back to this.
This is such an excellent program. I hang with you guys for days. I am so glad we have gotten past the old days of unnecessarily loud background music. Thanks for a great show!
I remember this series. I also remember when Tommy came to Power Nation/Muscle Car. I miss seeing him every week, so it’s great that these shows are online so I can see more of his friendly face. Man I miss the old days with all the shows back to back. I’ve been watching since the very very beginning with Trucks TV....Stacey David. Love that guy too.
Everyone being jealous feeling sorry for themself saying, "thats no fair, you have an unlimited budget and i only make $20 an hr". But you're not gonna watch two broke guys stand around and talk about what they wanna do. You're here to watch cool shit get built, get motivated to save up and build a cool project overtime.
I had a 79 Buick Regal and I miss that car bad! Comfortable x200 and rode like a dream. Don't care what anybody says, great car. My dream car is still an 84 Grand National.
Thank you for bringing these to TH-cam. I raised my self as a kid, and always when I got the chance ide find spike tv or other places I could find shows like this. Means a lot to me.
Hell yeah me too, used to watch these types of shows every wkend. Then yrs later they had the speed channel and it was nothing but racing and car shows. Before that though it was Hotrod tv and I forgot the name of those other two shows. Oh and there was a show called This Old Car on PBS that was pretty cool to watch as well. Those were the days though, even though we may of not had much adult supervision back in those days. We were a different generation and could last all day without an adult around. Always kept ourselves busy, if it wasnt tv it was playing my sega. Having all my friends come over because my parents were hardly ever there. I had no babysitter even when I was like 7 and 8 yrs old all the way until I was old enough to move out. My Dad went and got milk and never came back. Not literally but he went and did his own thing. Whenever Id visit he was never there anyways. Then my mother always worked two jobs and whenever she was home it was to sleep. Im grateful for those days because I had no responsibility other than taking care of myself and my siblings because I was the oldest. Sorry for the rant, but I always loved watching these types of shows. That and wrestling was a way of life for a kid in the mid to late 90s.
I love how some people aren't afraid of putting out a full video of a build. Buffing your paint job also gets rid of that ugly orange peel affect. What a great looking car.
FIRST RIDE WAS A 1980 BUICK REGAL SPORT COUPE WITH THE GLASDS T-TOPES THAT POPPED OUT WITH THE PULL OF A LEVER,GORGEOUS CAR.loved the body shape, was such a slick looking car!!!!
Wow, just came across this and that regal brings back a lot of child hood memories. As most black men with some age on them will tell you, the 1985 regal was a black mans mercedes. These guys can take this regal to any black hood right now and they would get nothing but love, that car is bad ass.
Tommy Bosher is a true mechanical genius, I am totally impressed with his fab work on the steering linkage, unreal how good it came out and this G BODY is one of the best projects I've ever had the pleasure to follow 👍
I really do enjoy watching this build, it's all pretty simple straight forward stuff, a lot of "plug and play" but for someone like me who's really only comfortable doing oil changes and brake pads it puts things in perspective and builds confidence in my own ability to wrench. I'm a welder/fabricator by day and harley builder for fun but this makes me want to take on a 4 wheeled project of my own. Thanks for the video and solid content. Keep em coming.
I REALLY loved and miss my old '85 Regal...got it as a gift from my mother in law after my 4th deployment...Man I'd LOVE to drive this beautiful update!
great build. this car, the 73 century, and 72 marquis are probably my favorite. shows that you do not need an elite model (charger, camaro, mustang) to make a great, fun cruiser. vision, research, time, patience, dedication, attention to detail, and of course skills (and tool access) and you can have a fantastic vehicle. love the full build series in general. they are inspiring and can keep you going on your own build when you hit a wall. now i just need to get cracking on my lincoln...
Had several of these back in the day. What a beautiful build. Thanks for the series. Color is amazing and that interior rivals any modern car. Great job
That exhaust tip you made is awesome! I had a shop make up something similar for my 2001 Volvo V40 a few years ago. It basically was a 12x2 tip that was solid but using the Volvo font made a change. The gases escaped through cutouts that spelled" Volvo R Power" and had background internal red LED lighting. J had them covered in a dark smoke black chrome. They sat under the rear doors of the compact wagon just in front of the rear tires. The car was white with black trim, 19 inch white five spoke wheels with 235/30/19 tired with red Yokahoma lettering, a single 6 inch wide red strip front to back offnset to the right side passenger center. So with those tips glowing Volvo R Power along the side at night looked great.
I had a 1978 3.8 liter turbo V6 Buick Regal that after the turbo went out I built a 406 that was pushing almost 600 HP, needless to say it brought that car to life!
I seem to remember seeing this thing for sale recently.. I think it was around $45k... might seem crazy but all the labor that went into it, plus some pretty premium parts, I think its a great value. Building it yourself would likely cost you a lot more. Connect and Cruise set up alone is like $8-10k, probably $15k(ish) if youre having it done at a shop. Thats just a partial powertrain.
This Buick Regal Special Edition Street Regal isBad Azz 💯👀 Car is making me want a car from my days and build it. Lived it and Loved it, The 90s💯👀 ROCKED. Nice build Fella's.

I had to laugh at Marc's post test driving critique; his explanation says more about HIM having an identity crisis as a driver, than it does about the car itself! The "Pro-Luxury" Buick Regal Resto-Mod Build is PERFECTION, it hit all the goals Tommy established for it upfront! Marc isn't truly happy with a Rest-Mod build unless he can convert it into a manual transmission. I personally was thrilled to see one of their builds remain an automatic transmission. It proves the point that a manual transmission isn't the only way to enjoy the fruits of added horsepower, torque, and chassis!! This video was packed with excellent tips and tricks, outstanding content! Thanks Guys!
Thats a sweet buick, I love the color combo. If I had a ton of money id build one similar without the holes on the bumpers or the rivets in the interior.
Dear Sirs, You have built the most beautiful car I have ever seen. And it's as fast and as comfortable as a Corvette. Awesome. Great job great vision. I love your show.
Thankyou so much for all of the incredible content . I must have watched over 80 plus hours of videos in the past year !! Not including rewatching old videos I loved !! ❤
This is one sweet ride! I like everything about this build, but the painting, sanding, and buffing brings back some memories. I worked in a body shop, and I did all the tear downs, final assembly, sanding, buffing, amd detailing. The painter was a buddy of mine, and I also used to mix paint and do a little spraying. Now THAT is an art!
Another bing watching. And another great build. I use to have a 78 Regal. Nothing like yours. Great color choice. Top notch, quality build. Can’t wait for the next one. Keep up the great work. I am envious. !!!!!
That frame! I bet the Regal can be dialed in for superb handling, better than virtually any of it's contemporaries. The red paint is excellent on that Regal; surprised GM did not release a similar color for the car (well they did for the Grand Am and Bonneville).
This is the natural pinnacle of sports car design for mature hot rodders who really have a ton of experience and wisdom. There is nothing better than all the performance plus all the ride comforts and all the coolness.
I had an 83 Regal in that exact spec except with factory wire hubcaps. I absolutely loved that car and the finished product you all did is truly a dream car for me. Making me well up a bit for my old regal.
Watched this in it's entirety, start to finish! Loved it! It would be the perfect "Grandpaw" car for me! To be able to visit the (4) Grandkids, & just roll out somewhere special spending "3rd generation time!" So then... if you're looking for the perfect owner? Here I am baby... signed, sealed, delivered, I'm yours! REALLY... Really... enjoyed the build! J. Combs
This happens to be one of my favourite builds. When people talk about Buick's everyone thinks of the Grand National. I love the GN to but the Buick Regal is just as nice as the GN. Really the only difference between the Buick GN and the Buick Regal is the GN came with T Tops. This Regal was really done tastefully. I love the color but I really love the interior. The Interior shop did a really awesome job with all the different colors.
this is good representation of the 256, i live around the corner from the fiero factory and this is the first time i’ve ever seen Toney on anything other than local news
While I wasn't surprised ya'll went the ls route, as it is the most cost effective solution, part of me was hoping for a 455 to keep it Buick. Still a sweet ride though, much better than the mustang.
Frankly the seats are the best thing about those cars. I had a buick LTD '86 and that seat was comfortable and after driving from Texas to Maine I was still comfortable. I currently have a 84 mercury marquis I am restoring and I am redoing the seats but I am going for stock because comfortis important so is reliability.

I owned a brand new 1984 Cutlass Supreme dressed in silver metallic. Great car with that V6. Hey I used to visit a client called Ecowater on Hwy 15 in Ripley, MS. Cut north on 15 once or twice to Jackson, Tn. Saw lots of barn finds thru there. Ya’ll may want to make a run up that way sometime. I saw enough in 2014 my son and I had planned to talk to folks to buy some old cars. Ended up changing jobs and never followed thru.
@@hydro._.glifics4689 For a common car that has advanced safety features like airbags, ABS, etc. I have nothing against older cars, I have several including an 85 Monte Carlo (that I'd love to transform like they did the Regal!), but they simply don't compare in terms of performance, fuel economy, and safety. My daily driver is a Scat Pack Charger that would run circles around the 69 Road Runner and 70 Challengers I owned in the 70s and early 80s, and do so while sitting in air conditioned comfort. We are truly living in the Golden era of muscle cars.
Excellent choice of Fiero seats because they have 2 speakers in the headrest , it makes for some semi private listening when you put your head into the headrest , for conversation with your partner you just tilt your head forward and you can have a normal conversation with out turning the volume down ! I think that some of us know exactly what I am talking about !
@@boowiebear Yeah my home town was real small, only about 300 people if you could believe it. Most of them were uneducated and worked in the mines outside of town. Beautiful town though, West Virginia is full of beautiful landscapes if you ever get the chance to go there.
In 1988 I I had been divorced from a psycho wife for 4 years. I had managed to saved up $10k and was shopping for a barely used automobile. One lot showed me an almost new Turbo Regal V6. Not knowing what it was, I scoffed at it and said huh! A V6, I need power! I need a V8 engine! The salesman tried to convince me to take it for a spin. But I was not interested. I ended up buying a fully loaded single cab dodge pickup. Months later I saw a weird sounding Regal shredding the drag strip and realized what I had passed on.
That’s the difference between all of us and Jay Leno. Jay would have offered the salesman half and jumped on the turbo Regal V6. When will we ever learn?
That Buick is extremely nice. It truly is the "do nall" ride. I love❤it. Honestly though my only complaint would be no roll cage and nice hip holding seats but i understand what they were going for👍
I love watching the more in-depth videos…even though they say “we’re doing this budget build” lol I didn’t see anything that was on a budget here lol but it’s a magnificent build
I wanna see you finish that one up! That there car reminds me of the ones my dad owned when i was a little kid! Those old lincolns are by far better made then other of the same vintage!
@@Ideo7Z not necessarily true. Chevy wasn't happy but the demise was the end of the Gbody platform and the end of rear wheel drive intermediates and Chevy had nothing to do with that. That was GMs plan before the GN even had an intercooler and fuel injection.
@@shawnbrownfield9857 it’s humid there which wrecks everything in a car. Out in the Midwest cars never rust. When my grandma was living in Colorado in the 70’s, there were 40’s trucks just driving around In perfect condition because there is no humidity
First off, i LOVE THE CAR! Definitely a quality build. I gotta say tho, I'm not loving the dimples, the spoiler and the wheels. You know that old saying "less is more" i think that applies here. That's just personal preference, but the build is TOP NOTCH! No holes, black wheels and some ground effects would look WICKED! More like the artists rendering
Buick is GORGEOUS!! The 80s Buick Regal / olds cutless supreme, are my all time favorite cars & always have been. Im 31 now, & I remember even at 8 years old it was my favorite car & i would rather have an 80s Regal/Olds cutless than any modern brand new sports car. My friends never understood & even today, most girlfriends I had actually thought they were so ugly which just shows they didn't have style. I've always liked luxury over sport. Lincoln towncars, mercury marquis etc over a mustang or civic or whatever everyone else had or would take instead... I'm really into Vans & station wagons too. Yeah chicks my generation REALLY hate old station wagons & vans but idc.

i love this car .!!! the inside is pure class and they just hit it out the park . id be proud to own this car !
That Buick was CLEAN. I'd keep that the way it was and found another one that had been molested.
Why? Stock Regals drove like crap. Might as well get a 90s Regal if that's the experience you want.

Love that color and a great build! Now, where is the build for the Mustang?
"We're just like everybody else out there."
* Has a studio budget, sponsorships and a full garage *
For the price tag of building that car, I can buy me a brand-new Challenger.
@@hemihead6645 for a common car you see everywhere this one stands out
@@hydro._.glifics4689 For a common car that has advanced safety features like airbags, ABS, etc.
We are truly living in the Golden era of muscle cars.
and only experienced in a dog and pony show with cameras and not real life building.
None of that has got anything with who they are.
Anyone else like to see these guys do an El Camino build ?
I like how you show how you're doing the math on everything and all the detailed steps that would trip me up otherwise :
Awesome that you guys paid a visit to the town where I grew up. Chris has been doing killer work for a long time.
I like the Buick build, but It was nice (for what it was) before build.
It was really nice before. Really a shame. Could of used one that wasn't so dang nice.
Facts man it’s nice but the og was sooo beautiful to me
Excellent choice of Fiero seats because they have 2 speakers in the headrest , it makes for some semi private listening when you put your head into the headrest , for conversation with your partner you just tilt your head forward and you can have a normal conversation with out turning the volume down ! I think that some of us know exactly what I am talking about !
Tommy has thick country boy accent and sounds like he adds a little more to it.
It is way over the top. I have never heard anyone sound like that.
@@boowiebear I have. Born in Winifrede WV, hillbilly heaven. Trust me, they get a lot more country than even Tommy.
@@Frosty_Saiyajin Wow. I haven't been to any hillbilly epicenter so I stand corrected!
@@boowiebear Yeah my home town was real small, only about 300 people if you could believe it. Most of them were uneducated and worked in the mines outside of town. Beautiful town though, West Virginia is full of beautiful landscapes if you ever get the chance to go there.
Pretty sure this in Kentucky
The algorithm would not let me ignore this video. Everytime I open youtube its there. I finally caved.
Lol the love you guys have towards each other is refreshing
When I retire, I am thinking Mid-Tenn or 'Bama. Buy myself a junk yard!
That shifter is the coolest shifter I have ever seen. I want that so bad in my 64 Electra
Very cool, love the Regal body style!! 👍👍👍
I wanna see you finish that one up! That there car reminds me of the ones my dad owned when i was a little kid! Those old lincolns are by far better made then other of the same vintage!
WOW I LOVE the 80s
That interior. So beautiful. I like the color too. My dad had a Park Avenue that color. His favorite car ever.
I've always loved the styling of the regal. It looks like it would run like a scalded cat but unfortunately moved like an old golden retriever.
Agreed. Although I'd argue the GN did indeed run like a scalded cat... It was faster than the same year corvettes.
@@iambiggus Yeah, the GN and GNX were so fast Chevy whined to its GM overlords and had it cancelled so they wouldn't keep embarrassing the Vette.
@@Ideo7Z not necessarily true. Chevy wasn't happy but the demise was the end of the Gbody platform and the end of rear wheel drive intermediates and Chevy had nothing to do with that. That was GMs plan before the GN even had an intercooler and fuel injection.
Would have liked the widened arches and low stance as in the rendering.
That regal looks like that had a time machine...even the insulation behind the door panel looks new
That’s what happens when you are not in the salt band and had a grandma driving it. Lol
@@dwightschrute3862 I live in Florida...don't even see em that clean down here

Pinkies out for sure🤣. My best friend in highschool had a Buick GN. Glad we survived but, he also hurt alot of feelings.
I’m so happy this came to YT 🙏
That Buick just needed the engine, dual exhaust and some mods to the interior. I liked it better as it was
I said the same thing.
Those metal grommets are going to feel fantastic on your back once they've been sitting in the hot sun for a while.
