My very first car was a 1966 Pontiac LeMans in this turquoise color which my dad bought for me in September of 1970 when I was 20 years old. It was a two door coupe with the 326 c.i.d. V-8. A two speed automatic of the speeds of "fast, and faster"! I loved this car! Wished it had a few more features but it did well for me. The car needed a rebuilt transmission during my ownership, if I remember. The car hit once or twice the "120 m.p.h." ... not by me but done by one of my best friends in the 19 months I had it. It's great to see this '67 "LeMans" being restored to glory. Great detail work!
I'm a day late. I had to do some preventative maintenance on my Silverado so it keeps going strong. A filter change and some undercoating on the frame and it's good to go. Gotta be on top of it. Ohio loves to cover the roads in salt in the winter. It's starting winter number 8 and not a spot of rust.
@AnnatarTheMaia during the winter I pay for a monthly pass at a car wash. So if it snows I make sure to get it into a car wash ASAP so it doesn't sit worth salt on it. Plus I make sure to get a couple coats of wax on it each year. I don't want to be the guy with a truck that looks like it's about to fold in half between the cab and bed.
Lovely car guys I'm not enamoured by the colour and the wheels but that's very subjective, Overall it's a fantastic car that would give someone many years of enjoyment and turn plenty of heads I'm sure.
In my opinion, polyurethane bushings suck, the rubber bushings don't flex enough to make a significant difference, and they tend to squeak. I have removed all the polyurethane bushings from my '67 Corvette and my 02 GMC Sonoma. I won’t use them again in any of my future restorations. If you're restoring your interior, I also recommend using sound-deadening material. I applied it everywhere: on the firewall, the doors, and of course, the floorboards. You won’t be disappointed when you're cruising to the next car show!
@@bmstylee More like I literally Googled it and looked at the current market. For what he's doing to that car that's about what it cost. Market prices don't necessarily follow inflation
I hate to bother you guys! I'm sure you are butt deep in all kinds of car projects. I see you gave the paint name for the Lemans, but please let me have the actual paint code and where I can get it. Thanks so much!
Since you are building this car from the ground up it doesn't make sense to go with a 4 speed + Gear Vendors overdrive when you can just go with a new Tremec TKX or even T56
I love this guys energy and the breakdowns in this video more of him please
Really enjoyed watching this all over again. 😀
Love the restoration video, great color choice for the '67 Pontiac LeMans and good to go with this project.

Great way to start a Saturday
Yep, one of the best ways to start a Saturday.

@@bmstylee eight Winters in Ohio and not a spot of rust, now that's impressive.

@@bmstylee you're pretty clever. That's refreshing in this day and age.
"Poor man's goat " but hey I'd be proud to own one.

Great video!
2005. What a time!
Wish these prices were today’s prices at first I thought this was filmed in the late 90’s until he started surfing the web
You know how long I’ve been waiting for this?
Real Car Guys !!
Love 💕 it !!
Damn just now realizing that’s a young ass Tommy Boshers long hair and all. He is one of my faves of the power nation crew.
He was the long lost Hanson brother 😂
He's like one of the seniors now, along with Pat. But yeah, I always liked Lou.
@@RendclawLou was the worst host ever! Loud and amateur work!

Phased out Lou by the last episode
By that time, he was probably starting to work on the show "Car Fix"

I never used floor insulation in my cars, I liked to hear and feel my hot engines.
$2,600 in 1967 is equal to about $24,500 today.
Year one is great
Did I miss the final dyno numbers????
Never understood why Lou Santiago wasn't at the finish of this???
That dual carb intake setup added nothing to the dyno numbers 😂
2007 price $16.5k, 2024 price $42 grand
Exaggerate much? With inflation that $25k.

Poly bushing won't last forever and wear out twice as fast and make for a noisy ride!
I just noticed this is an MTV production.
I read your comment as the end credits popped up and showed that.
36:00 hard to believe that's a wee Tommy B
Way to cover the paint in rubber, d a !

I didn't recognize Tommy with that long hair of his! Lol.
He forgot the more sentimental value the more you will do or put up with.
I completely forgot that Tommy used to have long hair
Clean with Diesel.Diesel is helpful to remove oil stain inside the engine and engine parts
feel like hes telling me off 😂😂😂😂
Still needs cold air induction
cue the "why is he yelling" crybabies
LOL.
Better than MTOD
In what universe? Rebuild like that usually cost around 25-30k all in also who's selling that decent car for that cheap?? This from the 90s??
I'd love to have my dream car. Unfortunately Fox bodies and 80s.T-birds are getting pricey. Even a bucket isn't exactly cheap.
Save it so someone else can change it into a GTO would be my thought! Please don't put the vinyl top back on!
Since you are building this car from the ground up it doesn't make sense to go with a 4 speed + Gear Vendors overdrive when you can just go with a new Tremec TKX or even T56
Awww, they didn’t have my favorite part. When Lou asked, do you see anything missing? Cmon Boo Boo get it together; louvers, the LeMans had louvers!
The only problem with this guy is that you can hear him five miles down the road. For f' sake stop yelling at us.
To much talk to little action but nice project 👍
Quaker state oil 😭
Nice car. Do away with the burnouts.
"Santiago gold"? It's rather pale. Original 67 Pontiac Coronado Gold (also called Tiger Gold in 65-66) would've looked a lot better...more golden.
stop screaming
Beautiful car, but delete the ghetto-trash Lo-Pros for nostalgic 👉🏻 fat rubber…
My Nokia is as good as my Huawei p30
That is one ugly car
naw that car is sweet
At least they didn't put the vinyl top back on
I thought they were ugly until I got a modern pony car... then something changed.
Jealousy is such a bitch...
I miss Lou ☹☹☹
