    Great video. I used traditional bulbs for over 3 years before switching to specially-designed LED grow lights. I bought my grow lights from SeniorLED. The brand was recommended by a colleague who sourced LED grow lights from the company, a few months ago. The product quality is great and technical specifications are par excellence. The product comes with 5 years of brand warranty and AIG insurance. Moreover, the LED grow light is equipped with an isolated Isolated DC driver that provides quick start and saves 30% of total energy consumption. The advanced features I liked the most are short circuit protection, over temperature protection, low electromagnetic radiation, and superior light distribution features. Keep uploading amazing videos.

    I have the 1200 watt version that was 119.00 each but has more of a purple red and white the one like you talked on the video.
    I have 2 of those also that have more purple.
    So one of each in a tent thats 8 x 6 x 10. So 3.ft from canopy of plants should I run 2 that are more white which is 1500 each or 2 of the purplish are 1200 watt each.
    My result with one of each was good but expected more.

    Can you possibly compare this lights output on the Apogee PAR meter vs a lux meter? I’ve watched other of your videos and it seemed like 500 micro moles was around 15,000 lux with “blurple” lights. Trying do decide if I need two of these for a 2x2 tent

    • @GrowingAnswers
      @GrowingAnswers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      WhatAbout Bob you definitely don’t need 2 of these in a 2x2. Unless you plan to mod them to dim. But these are very outdated lights. Poor efficiency.

      @@GrowingAnswers One might be good for veg, but probably not enough to flower. I think two of these hung at around 10-12" would provide good intensity for the entire footprint in a 2x2 reflective tent. These only cost $45 now, so 2 of them would be $90 and they would pull about 250watts total. I would only be able to afford the Dr Meter Lux-meter if I buy anything. I noticed the Hydrofarm measured 10-30% less than the Apogee with Blurples in your other video. I would love if you could possibly compare the Dr Meter lux meter and the Apogee PAR meter with this particular spectrum at around 10 or 12". I'd be willing to pay for the conversion factor you come up with.

      WhatAbout Bob I’ve already used the light in the other videos and especially where im using the conversion factor. And it grows fruit on plenty of plants. But it’s a terribly inefficient light these days.

    When you look at how LEDs produce about 1-1.5 grams of light per watt, compared to your 0.5 grams per watt in the hps lights, the clear winner is the led.

    This is only 130watts? You are not going to grow anything large , and it will take a very long time. .I think these sellers are very deceptive and give amazon a bad name. Please call this for what it is .

    • @GrowingAnswers
      @GrowingAnswers  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      John French I agree that it’s deceptive, but that’s why I explain it. However, the light may be low wattage, but no where does it imply that it can grow large plants. I’ve grown plenty of small plants with low wattage led lights. And by simply using 2 or 4 of them like some people would, then you can grow some larger plants. I don’t fully agree with the marketing, but a cheap light is a cheap light. You get what you pay for.

    • @roundgarage
      @roundgarage 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You get what you pay for ? Well I paid for a 1000watt model that claimed it put out 240/280 watts. When I plugged it into my watt meter ,it onl;y puts out 117 watts , less than half the wattage advertised., I paid for 240 /280 watts ...So I didn't get what I paid for.

    • @GrowingAnswers
      @GrowingAnswers  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      John French a lot of times the wattage advertised is a comparative number. Just like when you buy a 60watt led replacement bulb that only uses 9 watts. Even higher-end manufacturers advertise a number different that it consumes. I’m not sticking up for the seller, I’m just stating the facts. I agree.
