    Wich color do you use for seeds?
    Red or blue?

    • @BudSimple
      @BudSimple  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      On the spectrum RED is the direction you would go for the flower stage. Blue would be the hard core side for vegetative. If you don't have the cash for a full on LED light the you can always consider florescent bulbs for sprouting as you don't want super intense light at that stage. The florescent light is cost effective and is closer to full spectrum the just RED to BLUE.
      One other tip is the BLUE spectrum is closer to DAY LIGHT then incandescent bulbs. Almost a moot point because LED tech is taking over and a most of it is geared to the DAY LIGHT spectrum.

    Man I bought the same light from wish. It zapped me when I touched it next to the wires. Mine stated 1500 Watts equivalent. It drew 37.3 Watts on meter. I never even tried it, I didn't trust it after I got shocked.⚡. Did yours grow anything?

    I got 8 of the Red, Blue, Orange, White of these lights for about 17 a piece - and they seem to be working well - got mine in 1 day - super light - easy to hang - almost no heat

      Yes, I really like these panels. Might have to get a couple more if I can find them for that great price!
      I want to hang them vertically by the middle/sides of the plant. Use them as supplementals on 4 sides. Sounds like you have enough to try it. Would love to see it on video.

    • @BudSimple
      @BudSimple  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      These panels are very practical and are space saving. I would look toward the full spectrum or maybe even the all white versions for your grow. I found the all blue to be a little harsh since it was so concentrated. Interested to see what you end up doing.

    I've read a lot about these LEDs. Those drivers are terrible and the plastic gets very very hot over a short amount of time. Untrustworthy, and most of them flicker and die out

    • @BudSimple
      @BudSimple  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is interesting information. Are you speaking from personal experience? They are very stripped down and I do know they aren't the best LEDs to use but the are a cheap way to get into LEDs.
      How hot is hot? Compared to a 60 watt incandescent old school bulb? Did the articles mention anything in degrees? When you say "untrustworthy" what does that mean failure rate or fire or something else?

    • @jsmith3966
      @jsmith3966 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No articles. I read tons n tons of reviews from people who used them. Some said they were working, but most said they would burn ur hand if you touched the plastic driver

    • @BudSimple
      @BudSimple  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Dark Angel Are you planning on growing on a large scale? Pretty much all the brands out there are made in china and the "affordable" ones are surely are manufactured there and rebranded.
      Longevity would be the biggest factor in a "cheap" light. If you are a first timer, get the best equipment you can and go for it. If you sprout auto grows there isn't much you should do other then keep the plant healthy and follow your chosen light cycle. ON/Off hours - 12/12, 16/8 etc. That may have a greater impact on your grow than the light itself. New tech is always coming out and unusually every season folks are always looking to upgrade so you may buy that $800 LED and next season the SUPER DUPER UBER LED comes out and you just have to get it! Do you need it? No, but you gotta have it!
      I will say that the Wattage and (mostly) Lumens are what you should be looking at. Keep that in mind when you place your plants under the light there will be a fall off from the center to the outer edger so the reading will be higher in the center.
      want
      In my opinion all lights are not created equal and LED is donating the market but remember that the Sun is free and works well if you have a good weather and start properly in the season. factor
