Appreciated! I recently purchased your 750w Array, and I love the design. It's simple, well built, and economical. I've yet to install them because my flower room is also my drying room, which is hung atm, but I'm looking forward to my next grow with your lights. Again, appreciated.
Ive had 2 of those chinese drivers on older lights and the dimmer function has gone on both of them after about 8 months each, having it on full power is ok, dimmer active, light starts flickering and going bright/dim/bright/dim.
What B Mooney said, if you try to clean it and it still doesn't work than replace it. Cut the wire close to the dimmer and than open the dimmer up to see what K value it has, since its a single driver, it will most likely be a 100K potentiometer. Just go online and find a replacement, they are cheap, 6 bucks or even less.
Cheers for all the replies guys. I will get the rubbing alcohol and elec tester/solder gear out later and give it a go after work, then update this 👍 I have just been keeping the light on full and adjusting the height depending on the "tomatoes or other plants" needs at that time using the app and BT LUX tester off Shanes other videos. Be nice for both dimmers to work again though
I bought 2 ativia qh1000 lights off Amazon. 35$ each. 100watts, full spectrum, with dimmer/ daisy chain features too. It advertises 2.9 umol/j. 🤷♂️ It says they are unavailable right now, but I couldn't pass up 100w for 35$. Wasn't even on sale.
I am really surprised with this light! Infact I am amazed, such good results for the size is awesome. After seeing the comment below about the 150w for £89 it seems beyond belief. I hope this is the start of a new style of light for a really excellent price for the true beginner 😃😃😃
I would never ever buy a light with a driver in a plastic case again. I had one plastic encased driver start on fire, was lucky to catch it on time before the house burns down.
Just reading all the other comments and wondering.. Personally I would only buy tried and tested to make sure I had high performance and quality. But, my first light was a cheap 150w quantum board. These kinds of lights definitely have a place in the market but I concur with driver quality. The meanwell driver on my first QB died after a little while. It would be interesting to run a light test on some of these cheap lights to see how long they last..
Great Video again. I like it so much how you understand business. No blaming, no lying, just giving the free choice and try the best in the way you think it should be... I bought a similar "Chinese" Light on amazon. It seems to deliver more or less the same. But what some others report. It flickers from time to time, especially in some "lower" dimmer ranges and than more often. But not to much bothering... It's running for about two weeks now. I'm Curious how long it will work. Since the legalisation here in Germany and my spontaneous decision to grow for friends - I love this plant since ever, I hadn't a big choice, because almost all lamps were sold out. Im curious, if we will see a peak in nationwide energy consumption in Germany for this April/May... 😁 But fore sure my next light will be a Micro Aray 2. The "Layout" for me seems most convincing and the scalability as well is a strong argument.
the best and cheapest one i've found on amazon is a lonwon 320 w (from the wall) inventronics drivers, samsung diodes got it on promo for 99 bucks, even without promo last i saw it was 110 bucks, it will work great on my 2.5 x 2.5 mom tent, the maker claims it works great on a 3x3, i tried it on my 4x4 and it just might pull off a 3x3, its been working great imo. i picked up their bigger 480w for my 4x4 to test it out, same build quality as the 320w, it was recommended by a friend that got a few last year and loves em. oh and as a cool bonus it comes with eye protection glasses and a 5 gal fabric pot, along with the usual hanging gear.
I was thinking about getting a Mars Hydro $550 complete grow set, but then I saw this video and saw it on Amazon for $40 on sale and bought it. Now I'm starting to see some decent grow tents for $50 and fan/filter combo for $60 and I'm pretty sure that spending 3x the money isn't going to give you 3x the product or 3x the grow results.
HEY, SHANE: 2m34s "Board is not coated." - In the video, it appeared to have the usual Mars-Hydro type clear plastic/silicone/??? layer across the bottom of the LED board. I was curious, so I viewed the products' web page on Bezos' virtual junk store, and the company representative answered someone's question with, "Yes, there is a waterproof and dustproof layer covered on a LED panel. You can use it in high humidity environment such as grow tent or greehouse(sic)." In answering another question the rep also stated that the TBWTEK power supply / driver is IP65 rated. Which means, if I remember correctly, dust tight and protected against a low-pressure jet of water from any angle. Therefore, the bulk of the components *should* be safe against minor accidental splashes, at least from below (no idea about possible ingress where the wiring is).
I installed one of these as a replacement light in a dead square fluorescent ceiling fixture. About 5 times more light output than original 40watt T12 U shaped fluorescent.
I had a meiju 480w which is basically a hlg 550 until the old bill came which smashed a 4x4 after the boys in blue took that set up I ran a 4x4 with 4 of these or exactly the same thing off eBay cost me 200 quid for 4 separate units which had daisy chain and to be honest I couldn't justify the extra buck for the bigger light in a 4x4 tent however the frackin plod had that set up too 6 month later 😭

Looks clse to ky vivosun
Thank you!
Have you ever thought about doing videos on these cheaper lights taking the power supply apart and seeing how well it is made?
I am curious how will they are made compared to the meanwell Power supplies
A light of mine died and saw this video, With Amazon coupon, $42 to my door USA
So far it is working great. Using it to reveg right now and some of my easiest good results so far.
Thanks
Sold out again
When you say "good", what do you mean?
A good light can grow a 'pretty to look at' plant but that's not what most people are after....
Example; a good light can grow small vegetables with minimal nutritional content but couldn't finish plants that are high vitamins minerals or just size.
You can say it's a good light, good for growing what?
cheers
Very nice
dude why do u smack so much it sounds horrible in mic
LEDs aren't coated or covered!? PASS
They are, according to the seller's Amazon rep (and my eyes - you can *see* the clear covering layer, lol).
Took too long to get too price. It's not a cheap option. Long winded terrible sales pitch.
