- Demonstrators from 'Just Stop Oil' glued their hands to roads and climbed on top of vehicles, causing disruption to deliver their message.
They aimed to create chaos until the government U-turns on recent plans to secure more oil and gas supplies over the next ten years.
Drivers in some areas - already faced with increased fuel prices - complained about queues and closed petrol stations as a result of the protests.
Sky's Climate Change Correspondent, Hannah Thomas Peter, has this report.

@Jay Dee the extraction of fossil fuels has also exacerbated the global poverty crisis. The increased floodings and hurricanes in South East Asia, parts of Africa are becoming more frequent because of our use of fossil fuels.

Maybe not if electricity comes from unrenewable polluting sources, but getting cars onto electricity is necessary for getting to net zero, as well as changing how we produce energy.

Not to mention the materials needed to make the batteries are being heavily mined and there isn't enough of the resources to make all the batteries needed to make enough cars to replace ice....

I went over to the "JUST STOP OIL" youtube page so I could express my annoyance at how this group is going about their campaign but they have disabled it. looks like they cant take negative comments.
