- Just Stop Oil protesters Eben Lazarus and Hannah Hunt join Piers Morgan Uncensored to discuss climate change protests and how their methods are negatively affecting the public, such as our other guest Amanda Bishop who missed most of her mother's funeral due to today's motorway closures.
Piers begins by asking the protestors if they feel what they are doing is effective and they respond by saying that "they have to do whatever they can to force the Government to implement this change".
Piers then asks Amanda about her experience with the protests delaying her from getting to her mother's funeral. She missed her designated slot and had to rush the whole service in 10 minutes. She tells Eben and Hannah that they're "not winning people over" and that what they are doing is "an act of terrorism".

Ive also heard of a man who was taking their mother to the hospital, for a STROKE. SHE HAD TO ENDURE A FULL STROKE FOR 6 HOURS BECAUSE OF A PROTEST.
Not a doctor, but I know that with such conditions the time matters. I think the family of the woman should consider suing them for severe health damage caused by their actions. Maybe would be problematic to sue individuals, but the organization may be sued too.

Let me give them a real "STOP OIL" project. If they really wanted everyone to stop using oil, their first step should not be making trouble. Each of them become millionnaires and billionnaires. Now, once you have funds, establish a company giving FREE solar panel system. Attach those solar panel to each household for free. That would decrease the use of oil for electricity.
No one would say no if you are giving them something for free, let alone, something that would help them. Not only they helped "save the environment and stop global warming" they also helped people. That way, while no one gets annoyed by them, people would actually think about their cause. Because right now, all they do is talk and no act.
They want to "stop oil" and yet they use shirts made by factory (which uses electricity that uses oil), they go to their areas by using cars (that uses oil), and at night, they cook using stove (that uses oil). They want others to "stop oil" but they can't stop using it for themselves.

Involuntary??? They're actively choosing to block traffic knowing damn well that means they could be causing this harm to others- they just don't care. They think their cause is more important than OUR lives. Charge them with manslaughter outright, don't make their victims the only ones to truly suffer the consequences of their actions.

In germany this happened. Activists blocked a road and the ambulance couldnt make it in time because of that. They got charged with manslaughter

I don't have an answer as to what they can do better, which doesn't impact people like this woman, but I don't think anyone else does either, so until you come with ideas how they can protest and get needed attention/action, then don't sit there and say they're heartless, hypocrites etc.

I remember my father‘s funeral. It was a beautiful thing. All of the people who loved him were there- family, friends, including so many of his work colleagues; the church was full. We read poems, lovely memorials to him, it was a beautiful service and a great tribute to his life, a very moving few hours. I am in awe of that woman’s patience and how she did not lose her temper with those two twats. If my father‘s funeral had only lasted 10 minutes because of them, I honestly think I would’ve dove across the table and gone after their throats. The security people at the Piers Morgan show would’ve had to drag me away. She is an amazing human being. 🙌

The issue with protesting where their voice could be heard like in front of Government buildings or refineries is they would be arrested as we are told , the irony . The problem is not only these protestors who are hypocrites but the Government especially in the UK that coddle these terrorist as they block regular folk from supporting their families , this isnt a peaceful protest when you have a line of angry citizens ..

And I definitely understand that they would be arrested pronto, and that’s exactly why I personally feel like it would work if they do it enough times. Because if the number of protesters outnumber of the police, then they’ll have to call for back up from bigger agencies. And then ones that got arrested eventually return right back to where they were protesting to rinse and repeat. Then, hopefully and eventually they’ll have no choice but to hear the people out.

I do like the ones who glued their hands to the floor at a car dealership and the owner agreed with their protest , closed the doors turned out the lights and heat and in the morning they crapped and pissed themselves during the night . The security guard came by every once in awhile and shined the flashlight in their faces to be sure all was good . Not the brightest amongst us ..
@waynesbutler7834 but blocking the roads doesn't warrant the hand of the law? If I was to take my vehicle and leave it parked in the middle of the highway, blocking and hindering traffic from moving in either direction, would I not be arrested and my vehicle towed away for disruption?

They won’t, they are invited and their little protests are arranged by oil tycoons and big corporations.
It pretty much boils down to oil companies wanting to put an extra tax on oils and energies and the politicians turn a blind eye because they have had a agreement to support each other. Politicians get a cut of some money and the big companies get to do things that wouldn’t otherwise get voted through.
This is why they won’t be arrested they need to push this narrative of panic. That’s pretty much what it boils down to.
