Wifey wants a Circuit Edition as an upgrade from her BRZ and I'll do my damned best to make it happen after watching this! We love coming up to Deal's Gap!
@@Andy-we9fcyeah I think they are still good cars but the warranty ordeal has made me question if I should switch to a golf r. I have had no problems whatsoever though 14k miles in
I think the 350 additional spot welds and 9 additional feet of structural adhesive plus the fact that this is built in one plant in Japan by a handful of certified Takumi Master craftsman has a lot to do with how "light" it feels. Also the fact that you can pretty much guarantee that you won't get annoying squeaks and rattles 5 years down the line, makes the GR Corolla pretty much a home-run in my scorecard!
People tracking it have reported that the rear diff overheats, much like the Yaris. Like the Yaris you can get a diff cover that holds more fluid, wrap the exhaust near the diff, or get cooling mods.
Looks like a great hatch that is much needed in the market! Wish they weren’t so hard to get but oh well. Also, I’m pretty sure I held you up on the tail during MATG22 in my S2000. My bad as I didn’t hear your honks or flashes and thought you wanted to chase. Hope to be down there for tougefest in the spring!
I've had a '14 Fiesta ST from new (love it). Wasn't thinking of changing it - Until the GR Corolla was announced. I put a down payment on it that day (the adjustable AWD sold me). Delivery is about 2 months away🤙🏻 Good to know that you enjoy the GR a bunch & that you compared it to the ST & other HH's THX for the video. I'd love to so someone do some Hooning with it on loose surfaces (rally style driven'-:)
I had a 2017 Fiesta ST up until recently, I am very excited to be getting my GR Corolla! Seems like a natural transition. A lot of guys with fists bought GRCs
@@TerryManitoba same thoughts! I test drove a GRC, but it was such a short ride and on City roads, I didn't get to toss it around to see how it felt compared to my fiesta ST
The BRZ and Supra are fantastic for what they are. Haven driven those, I never felt they had the Toyota feel you described in this video. That 100% Toyota is the heart of why the E210 is special. I daily a regular E210 that feels great out of the box on the touge and I'm convinced with moderate mods it can come close to or even outpace my G35 fully built suspension on technical courses. I'm sure the GR Rolla amplifies that sensation and handling based on how you describe it. Thanks for sharing the experience, I plan to trade my regular E210 for a GR!
How did you find the ride quality of the GR Corolla? How does the ride quality of the GRC compare to cars like the Golf R, Focus RS, Fiesta ST, TYPE-R, Veloster N?
Interior is perfect for a performance car. Just give me what I need and nothing that I don't. Power locks power windows a way to access Android Auto for the maps, heated seats and most importantly three pedals! I would buy this car without power windows if they allowed it, lol!
I have one on order with my local dealership (the only one in my area selling at MSRP) - managed to get the 2nd order. Getting a Core w/ performance/technology/cold weather packages. I have been hesitant about watching videos/reviews but this makes me 100% confident in ordering it. I live 2.5 hours from Tail of the Dragon so will definitely be getting out there once it arrives this "summer"! Awesome video!
What do you guys think about the new GR Corolla?!

I think you nailed it. Toyota made something that feels special.
Thank you Toyota for still making good sports cars.
This aged well lol

You know cars
It will squeak and rattle can't avoid that.
I got to test drive a core edition by myself. I never thought I would drive a car more fun than my Fiesta ST, this car was.
Finally someone Driving the car besides The Topher
I had my GR Corolla out there as well!
Cool video man! Ill be bringing my circuit edition up for the first mountain drive in the next few months. Cant wait. Fun car
Nice one Dillon. Subscribed. You have the same train of emotions that I did driving the car.
I actually really like the interior. Is that factory exhaust? I love the sound!
The core is more cheap the others aren’t

I saw that too, but it should be fine for daily driving

We want one bad now!
You won’t regret it. Perfect DD.
update?
hell yeah
You’re a great reviewer!
Much want. Kinda wish I had waited on my supra and gotten this.

@@AbleMable I'm sure it won't disapointing.
My only concern is that weights about 450 lbs more - which is what I really like about the ST.

@@AbleMable Fair enough. From the plethora of other reviews - the message I get is that it is quite toss able.

I have a GR Corolla Circuit Edition and a Miata. The GR does not feel like a miata, not at all, but it's still very good.
Can you share some differences in driving feel, like steering, handling etc. I'm looking at both and the 86

Quality ride, can definitely tell it’s a little stiffer but nothing to affect anybody
Being a Fiesta ST owner looking to potentially get a GR Corolla, this video really was like a go ahead and get it lol
I like the look of the yaris more, but just for the drivetrain; I'm really interested in getting one of the corollas. Time to keep on the lookout lol
Exactly the same Drive Train 😂 the Yaris has a Corolla Rear!
ppl complain about interior but base price is $7k less than type r

How does it compare to the new WRX?
Lots body roll?
Very controlled and minor body movement

I sold a Miata to someone who was test developing the fiesta rs that never happened
What’s up with these titles lol “worlds first this worlds first that” 😂😂
Well it is in fact the worlds First GR Corolla on US-129 😉

Very comparable to the mazdaspeed 6!
Thats the problem with opinions much to subjective to be anything close to the truth.
