That is a head turning machine you got there. I d like to have the bigger venture. Gotta keep the wife comfy lol . Thanks for taking us along for the ride .
That Yamaha DOES have some COOL headlights. Every time your riding some bikes at work I can almost hear your bikes at home saying "RIDE ME!!" & "ME TOO!!" LOL! Man when I think about all your rides I just dream about being very rich and having a huge building filled with so many of them! Good vlog Thanks both of you!!
Thanks for taking us along for the ride your videos are so awsome I watch them a lot and some more than once. I really like that Yamaha. GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD BLESS AMERICA.
That is an awesome Yamaha! The Venture is a super looking bike too. I bet there will be a lot of them on the road in the spring here. Thanks for the ride along.
woooowwwwwww. 0_0 That has to be one of.......if not *THE* best bone stock factory V-twin exhausts I have heard. Like, that sounds like a exhaust I would not want to change. Thanks for the quick view. ;-)
I've heard that the yamaha was comfortable, but I never test rode one. Gonna have to try it out. I have my heart set on an Indian Roadmaster, but if the yamaha is as comfortable as you say, it might sneak its way on my list. I like the Honda goldwing, but the storage on the Goldie kinda stinks.
Love the star venture/eluder. Road them at a demo day down here in FL. The bike is unbelievable. The only problem is they can't make them fast enough. Not enough inventory because they are selling so fast. Lol I currently ride an 02 K1200LT but I'm seriously considering a star venture soon. Can't wait to see your full review Shawn. Thanks for these great vids!!
I know you only run it around the block - but gut reaction wise - did you prefer the stripped down lighter weight to the Transcontinental? What about versus the K1600B?
If you get snow, Tan said she's not watching anymore hahaha Hope you've both had a fantastic day and also lots of snow lol. Time for you both to relax now until the New Year :D Take Care & Be Safe Chris & Tan :)
Checked out one up at Hinshaws, had similar legroom and handling to my Victory XCT ! Always feel a little cramped on Hogs,Indians and especially Goldwings after owning the Vic. I liked the Yamaha, handled well, very torquey, back end kinda ugly. Sucks the fuel tho. I average 42 mpg on the Vic and if I set the cruise under 75 mph. on the interstate I actually average over 50 mpg. I will consider one of these in the future tho. Frosty here in Roy too. Wish they'd quit spraying that chrome eating calcium cloride on the roads tho, sand works just fine w/o misting into an inhalant. Merry Christmas to you ! Stay warm.
Im a big Harley guy, owned a few and love the brand. It’s embarrassing to see them show off their 1994 electronics and air cooled engines compared this thing. It’s amazing how far a electronic company has come to make Bikes that outperform a 120 year old motorcycle company. Congrats Yamaha! Harley is Harley but this is not even a fair comparison to Harley I’d say. -Thanks for the video.
+Ryan's V-Twin Vlogs - You've pretty much had to over the past 37+ years, as the only bikes of any significance to have steering mount fairings is Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycle... Lol I don't really think about how a fairing's mounted as long as it looks cool and it's fun to ride. This Eluder kinda surprised me! It was way more fun, comfortable (and crazy powerful) than I expected... I hope they put one in demo status so I can spend some time on one! It's funny, I remember when the Vetter frame mount fairings became popular in the 70's and Honda came out with the Gold Wing Interstate in 1980, it freaked riders out when the fairings didn't move with the steering... Lol Thanks Ryan - Have a Merry Christmas!!
All the detailed Vlogs I've seen on the new Venture, all complain about the tank being too wide and makes for an uncomfortable riding position. Heat from the engine is also a huge complaint, Yamaha should have stayed with a liquid cooled 4 cylinder engine. Trying to compete against HD is a HUGE mistake!
I believe that Yamaha has not made available the Venture and Eluder in Brazil against the financial crisis of the country and also for the exit of Indian. As you said earlier, it weighs heavily for a scorer who earns the equivalent of US$ 246 to make an acquisition of this size.
Bar has been raised as the crowd over there digs even deeper to mythology and superstitions! LOL! I test rode a Trident when they first came out, 15 years ago +- When I got off I said to my self, why would anybody buy a HD when stuff like this is available? This Yamaha looks like something I would much rather have. Looks good, sounds solid.
That is cool as heck. I think it could be my next bike. Love it. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Class bike and such a good vibe watching you guys. Absolute pleasure!
Much appreciated Dan!!
Really good sound to that motor. Tech on these bikes nowadays is outta sight. Thanks for the ride along Smoak!!
Our Lincoln is very sensitive to lights. I am amazed at what it picks up. Sometimes reflectors shut them off.
Best looking bagger on the market!!! Yamaha knocked it out of the park!!!

Awesome, thank you!
It's my old Warrior with a big screen TV affixed to the dash.

Now this is something that has caught my attention. I am going to take a look at this machine
I really wish they would have kept the adjustable windscreen from the big brother. It is my understanding it is not even an option
Excellent review! What's the top speed? How is passing from 80 mph on? Wyoming Interstate speed limits are 80mph & lots of big rigs to pass.

22 degrees is not cold. 40F below is cold...
Do they still build this bike I can't find anything over a 2018 year model... thanks for the video..
Jump on the new Honda GoldWing Bagger of same color and see what you think. That bike looks fantastic.
Its freezing here to. Calling for light snow all next week.
I know you only run it around the block - but gut reaction wise - did you prefer the stripped down lighter weight to the Transcontinental? What about versus the K1600B?
Very Cool Vlog great test ride.Wow great ride safe.

Cool vid shawn. You seem to like this bikes comfort a lot. How does it compare to streetglide and 1600b
Just heard about this bike and you’ve got the best review!
How is the ride compared to a harley seriously considering this bike
Try and stay ahead of that weather guys Yamaha good looking motorcycle take care
Lovely bike, love one but we don't get them in the UK 😕😕 great video again 👍👍👍
Looks like a competitor to the Roadglide
Tell us when you find out how to control the Headlights manually.

Okay, so what else did you ride?
You sure do like the fixed fairing (RoadGlide) style bikes there Smoak. Haha. I like it too! Ride safe!!

TheSmoaksVlogs
You really summed it up well. All good points. Merry Christmas to you and all of yours!!
Thanks for sharing Shawn!
how is that compared to Kawasaki Vaquero bagger?
Ya curious how you feel this bike compared to the BMW k1600b
Not a fair comparison at all. Hands down to the K1600B in every possible category.
Yamaha has a great bike. Air cooled I think? The one thing I don't like.
How tall r u? Did the tank feel to big? Heard a co.plaint about legs being splayed to wide on this bike?
All the detailed Vlogs I've seen on the new Venture, all complain about the tank being too wide and makes for an uncomfortable riding position. Cara, qquer moto deste valor nao é para quem ganha salario mínimo.
Looks like those mirrors could be aq little taller.
Man that Yamaha looks nice...if I hit the lotto I'd have a showroom of bikes : )
Do a ride with the Super Tenere!!!
Does the Eluder have heated grips & seats?
Yes, it has both, and they're highly adjustable through the infotainment display... Very nice actually!
Thanks Richard!!
That cool
I ride a V Star Tourer but, that bagger looks and sounds pretty nice! 25k I hear?
Mark
Wowwwwww, HD better wake-up, the bar has been raised! I wonder what the MSRP is?
Donaldson Cole I’ve been a Harley guy for many years. And between this and the bmw 1600b, Harley might losing a customer
Bar has been raised as the crowd over there digs even deeper to mythology and superstitions! LOL!

$24,500
Price out the door is very close to what a nicely equipped Honda Goldwing with the DCT carries now.
Not that cold lol
Any review on the 2019 models Shaun?
Cold here in Canada -10 c
Like the cockpit, HD screen and central locking saddlebags, the rest of it, it's ugly.
Looks like you found another bike for your garage when you win the lottery....
Belas motos..
Hhmmm , not for my , sorry . I love my r 1200 gs adv .
