Rode one this past weekend at a Yamaha Demo Truck event in Canton, GA. Very nice smooth and powerful motorcycle. Definitely an option to the Harley-Davidson Street Or Road Glide. Seems to be a bit more technologically advanced than the Harley’s with the 2 ride modes and better in my opinion infotainment system. Plus it comes with the LED lights all around standard.
I don't care for the silver with the black and red stripes, or the black with red pinstripes on the rims, but the Impact Blue?! Oh Baby! Now THAT gets my attention! When you get a chance, show me that wonky fuel cap access. I looked at one in Slidell, LA, on Thursday and never did figure out how to get the fuel access door open!
I can’t wait to see the blue myself..! To open the fuel cap, the FOB has to be close enough to start the bike and simply push the lower right lock/fuel button next to the fuel cap cover. The bike cannot be running or powered up. If you haven’t run the bike in a while, you need to push the ignition to awaken the system... Thanks for watching TJ!
Yeah, the blue is really sharp looking. I pushed the button to unlock it, but never figured out how to open the panel. Someone told me it opens front to back. Weird.
Maybe you can take a long ride on a Yamaha FIR 1300 one of those nice summer weeks. Would that be fun or not? I know your partial to the BMW R1200RT LC. That is one fine touring Bike for sure!
I was given a yamaha fazer 700, runs but need some tlc. Very loud. No shops around work on old carb bikes. Wish you were around. Building my collection up to 3, 2 hds 1 yamaha.
Was stationed in Ft Lewis Wa back in the 70's......either nice or (rain) ! :-).......enjoy your Vlog on life in the motorcycle shop but, always waiting for the H-D Streetglide to come out & play.....one of the local H-D shops would really be lucky to have a tech like you on their payroll......just thinking>> :-))
As a new Yamaha owner (Xmax 300) I'll go with the blue too. Any thoughts of wearing Red on Fridays to show your support for our troups still stationed overseas? Ride safe. -JackinSpokane
