Great video, thanks for details on the upper slots. I didn’t realize they tapered in like that. Someone will need to come up with a very application specific custom molded light and light housing to fit those unique shaped slots and in order to still look clean and OEM like yours.
Glad it was helpful! I agree that it will need to be extremely custom to make them look good, but there is potential for them to look awesome once someone designs the kit. just a little bit of drilling and wiring and maybe some cutting required but it should be doable.
Can I get some rear floor dimensions with the back seats folded up? Trying to see if my dog kennel will fit with the seats folded up. I’m going to have to build a platform for the center hump.
Next question? When you hooked your wires together onto the purple wire did you use the red wire as your hot wire? And if so what did you do with the black wire?
the red wire is the 'hot' / power wire and the black just goes to any ground point. Any bolt into the frame will work but you may have to scrape some paint off first to make sure you make contact with bare metal. There are also ground points all over the truck if you look... i can take some pictures or make a quick video of different ground points if that would help you.
Thanks for the video and all those tips. Great job! I’m considering Aux 1 as well on mine to power those lights up… Or DRL 😅 Question: when you remote start your raptor, is Aux 1 working as well without the ignition on? Or do you have to press the start button inside the cab to have the auxiliary switches powered? Thanks!!
when you remote start, the Aux switches are powered so if you have them switched on when you remote start it, they will energize and turn on the accessories or lights you have hooked up before you ever get in the truck to hit the start button to let it know you are in there and ready to drive.
the aux switch 1 is only a 5 amp circuit but it was around 14 gauge wire... way thicker than required. The wire that came with the kit was 22 gauge with about 6 total strands of copper wire in it where the aux switch wire had tons of little wires running in it.
Does the ranger raptor have the capability to schedule a remote start? So it will automatically start up at a schedule time in the morning to either defrost the vehicle in the winter or cool the cab in the summer? If so, would love to see a video on this! Thanks
not that i know of... i haven't played with the app on my phone too much though so it may be in there. I do know that you can set a timer for how long it will stay running if you remote start it from your app or your fob. I'll see what i can find out and let you know.
I wanted to try and wire my lights to the side marker lighting somehow so at night whenever the lights come on automatically they would turn on too. Any ideas?
I dont know where you could tie into that without a wiring diagram and i haven't seen that yet for the 24 ranger. There may be a wire back in the 7 pin trailer connector that would work... i'll have to do a bit of research and maybe get my multimeter out to test some stuff then i will let you know.
I’m gonna look around when I’m off this week and I’ll follow up with you. My other Rangers always had plug and play harnesses that plugged into the side marker lights on the front fender.
i did wire it to Aux 1 which is only powered with the vehicle is on. I may swap the wiring over to one of the fuses that are tied into aux power. it will do the same exact thing but leave the aux 1 switch for me to use on something else.

I dont understand why Ford would develop that grill on the RR for the 3 running lights as it's obvious thats what it is like on the bronco Raptor or f150 raptor but due to width of truck, not required i get. But why even have it designed as such? Dunno still love the RR
Well crap. That would have been way smarter. I just already had it in my head that since there are 6 aux switches, I should use one of those. I may go ahead and switch it over. I just gotta figure out which fuse to tap into
I think anything would be called a clean install when looking at that mess of an engine bay. Also, maybe you do or do not know why the full size Raptor has the amber lights, well it’s because it’s full size and then some in the width area. They are required by law to have them from factory. For me I don’t understand, but im function over form type.
if you are a function over hype kind of guy why is the state of the engine bay looking like a bowl of noodles a concern? it's all function and NO hype, not silly covers or anything that hinder heat dissipation. Yes, I am aware of the actual need for them on the full size raptor and the bronco because of the width but they fit well and make it a little different. What if my truck is parked in a parking lot next to 30 other ranger raptors that are all identical and an EMP goes off and we can’t use our FOBs and I am in a huge hurry to get my peanut m&ms out of the car before they melt but I don’t know which truck is mine because I didn’t add these little lights to stand out a tiny bit. Then I would have to try my key in a few trucks before I got to mine and my M&Ms melt… I mean if that isn’t functional I don’t know what is!
Thanks for the review! Glad you enjoy our product!
Heck yeah! It is awesome
Clean Install... Nice Lights. Looks Great .
Right on! Cheers

did they have a 3 light option? and where did you order them from?
I ordered from indicarbon.com and they only have the 4 light kit.

Thank you so much!! ☺️
That’s exactly what I wanted to know 🙂
Good deal!
What guage wire was aux switch you used? What guage wire was on the lights?

Looks like you can schedule a remote start thru the app. There is an option in it for that very thing! I’ll have to give that a try

So you wired it into aux switch #1? So do you just leave that switch on all of the time or do you toggle it on and off?
i did wire it to Aux 1 which is only powered with the vehicle is on. I may swap the wiring over to one of the fuses that are tied into aux power. it will do the same exact thing but leave the aux 1 switch for me to use on something else.

i am with you 100%. would have been a cool little bonus to have them even though it isn't wide enough to require them.
Because even though it doesn't have the actual lights, it still gives the grill a consistent look throughout the "Raptor" branding of vehicles.
Why didn't you wire them to your daylight running lights?.. That's what I did
