- I ordered this kit from indicarbon.com and they are fantastic. I was able to install them without taking the grill off of the truck which waved me a lot of effort and possible damage.

Thanks for the review! We highly appreciate this in-depth install video, we are very glad you enjoyed our product!
100%! These lights are great quality and the wiring harness you sent is really well put together. And you even added in heat shrink! Those small details make a huge difference in my opinion.
My OCD is not liking the spacing of the lights at all. Cool install video!
I agree that it would be 100 times better in the three spots up above.
Looks good and seemed pretty easy. I've had my RR fir a week now. So far I only put a soft roll up tonneau cover on. I think something I want to do is pull off the black fender flares and paint them body color. I like that look more. Definitely need to get some lights on mine too.
Body colored fender flares will look great for sure! I have a huge light bar off my dad’s old jeep that I may hook up just to see it work again. May hook it up and throw it on the roof
It’s for aesthetics. I like running with just the park lights on during the day and early evening for visibility hoping I’m seen here in Texas and not hit. Unfortunately there are a lot of bad drivers here. The more visible you are the better!
makes sense to me. i agree that there are a ton of bad drivers... i'm confident in my abilities but it's the other guys that scare me! reminds me of a joke... "You know, a lot of idiots turn into good drivers... so if you are a good driver, watch out for turning idiots!!!"
Funny
Nice Mod. BZ on install. I would recommend getting rid of that front license plate unless that dealership is giving some kickbacks.
I’m waiting on my actual license plates to come in the mail still. Once I get that these will be out
Awesome add, I am ordering one! I am curious if we can wire it without going through an aux switch. My OCD of that one switch always on would kill me
Absolutely… I think I may actually switch my wiring and power it from the same fuse up front that runs the daytime running lights. I just wanted to play with the aux switches but I think the DTRL is a much better wiring solution
@@flaberdoopinand make a video of it, right? Please 😉
Nice install! I have the 3 light kit on the way for mine hoping its as straight forward as this!
Right on! Let me know how the three light kit looks
I like the 4 lights vs the 3 lights, it’s different
You are right, it is a little different and it is growing on me as well
Perfect, I was waiting for this one! Awesome mod!
Right on! I was super excited to get it all done. I think it looks good but I was debating between white and orange.
Great job and looks great! Tasteful mod and keeping the RR looking clean. 🙌
Thanks! Trying to not go over the top with it and so far so good. Next is gonna be tonneau in a few weeks or a month when I scrounge the cash together
@@flaberdoopin tonneau cover definitely worth it if your hauling stuff around. Keep it up and don't get into trouble with the wife 🤣
Haha, I am doing my best. I used the truck to get a yard of mulch this morning so she is happy with me for the moment :)
Nice clean install. Well done!
Thank you! I wouldn’t have been able to deal with it if I could see wires thru the grill. My OCD won’t allow it
Nice job. Few takeaways for me…. I’d really like to see a video on how to remove the grill. I’ve seen a fair few videos now that claim it’s easy to remove the grill but never show the actual process - just the grill laying on the floor whilst they get on with whatever they need to do behind the grill. Second, I’d like to see more about how AUX1 was presented and how you connected to it (unless I missed that somehow) just saw a couple of connectors being crimped (line and neutral) ? Thirdly, where did you run the ground (earth) in end? Lastly. Did your wife forgive you!!?? 😂 keep it up, loving the journey.
Haha, I did a second video of the wiring so that should answer those questions about aux 1 and the ground. But to keep it simple, aux 1 is the purple and green wire in the bundle next to the aux fuse and relay box and I grounded it to a bolt under the cowling that holds the hood latch for now. You could also power to the daytime running lights fuse if you wanted to go that route. I found a video on indicarbon.com about getting the grill off and they made it look way easier than it was, I was afraid I was going to break something when I tried prying the small trim piece off to expose the 8mm bolts so I did it this way. Wife is happy cus I used the truck to pick up 2 yards of mulch and haul some tree branches to the dump the next day :)
Ha! Love it. Happy wife, happy life 😀
Update! I installed my amber lights on my 2024 Ranger Raptor and I ended up wiring them up to the driver’s side front fender marker light. If you have an email address you can share with me I’ll show you where I ended up hooking it up at. I ended up using that side marker because I only wanted the amber lights to come on when the side markers came on and I avoided using any of the auxiliary switches.
wow, that's a great idea... you can send an email to flaberdoopin@gmail.com if you dont mind. i will rewire them today and free up that aux switch :)
Great video. Do you know if these lights can be installed to turn on automatically when the running lights turn on, i.e. no auxiliary switch?
Absolutely, if you were to tap into the fuse for the daytime running lights you could have the amber lights come on any time the vehicle is started
I have a question, do the four raptor lights you put in? Do they fit in the three slots right above that?
No, those holes are smaller and they get smaller as it goes back into the grill. Even if you cut out the back the lights I bought would not fit because they would still be too big.
Do you know if there is a kit for the hexagonal holes underneath those? If so why did you opt for the ones you got? Looks great btw
I haven't seen any light kits that big while i was searching. it would be cool but i think these up at the top are just right for what i wanted. I like how well these fit in the existing holes... it looks almost like it was done during the build by ford
Could you mount with 3m auto tape instead of the plastic hooks to hold in place? Mine arrives next week, and thinking about something similar
I’m not sure where I would put the 3m tape. It is too tight to put on the sides and I don’t think over the back would do much. If you took the whole grill off it might open up some other options for taping but I don’t see a way to do it when I put mine in. Sorry I can’t be more help on this idea but I’ll think about it and see if anything comes to mind
Good video. They look good
Thank you! I appreciate it
You probably could access the back of those lights by taking the top trim off!
unfortunately, even with the top trim piece off you cant get down to the back of the lights.
looks great, not much to it. Where did you get the lights. Have you looked at the "1 min install dash cam, very interesting
I’ll have to check out that dash cam video.
You probably answered this in another post, but does the Raptor require/suggest premium fuel?
The Ranger Raptor can run on 87 or higher. The fuel door states 87+. These ecoboost engines will advance timing with higher octane fuel so to get the full 405 hp number you would have to be running 93 and it takes a bit of driving for the tune to advance the timing to get to the full power. Short answer is that you can use 87 but you do get better performance out of premium. I ran 0-60 in 5.5 in premium and today 6.3 with 87 (but it was 15 degrees warmer and I had some cowling off that allowed even warmer air from the engine bay into the intake so it isn’t a fair comparison but the temps might account for .3-.4 the rest is the timing being retarded because of lower octane.
@@flaberdoopin Thanks for the reply. Pricing out a Lariat with the 2.7, and for essentially $2K more you can get the Raptor. Plus I am seeing Raptor's available in my area. Given that, I cannot see a reason to buy the Lariat with the 2.7, unless I wanted the increased towing power and better mileage. The Raptor resale will more than make up for the cost difference. I swore off Fords since 1994, but right now, it seems like the Ranger is best in class (assuming they can get long-term reliability).
great job!! so when can i schedule mine to be done? lol keep the great videos coming!
If you are near DC I’d be happy to help!
Very nice! I am wanting to do the marker lights but I want to use the 3 slots at the top, will those also fit in the 3 slots at the top?
I was looking for the same 3 light kit but in the grill you would have to cut the plastic out to fit anything. This kit would not fit up in those from initial look because these would stick out thru the grill and might look awkward but I’ll take a closer look when it gets light and let you know.
@@flaberdoopin Yea, I would not mind drilling a few small holes to run the wires if those lights would set in those pockets nice and flush. Sounds like your saying those in your setup were to big to fit in the upper 3 pockets even if drilling out the holes for the wires?
I really like how the ones your using fill those pockets and look factory.
@@jdfleetguy28I took a closer look and these lights would not fit in the top three holes even if you drill out the back. The shape is different but there are kits for the three lights out there now
@@flaberdoopin Thank you I really appreciate you checking that for me.
I saw some somewhere TH-cam or the Forums but they did not look near as high quality as yours.
They did not really fit the pockets they were a lot smaller and set way back in the holes.
I will keep digging.
As popular as this truck is likely to be I am sure there is bound be something come out that fits in those 3 upper slots as nice as yours fit the lower slots.
i added another video about the wiring and talked about the fact that these lights would not fit in the holes above... they are a completely different shape and get smaller as they go back. the more i looked at them, the less i think i would use those for the lights even though they are more classic and symmetrical
Nice to see that the aux switches go off when the truck is off. Are all the aux switches that way?
I do believe that they are. When the truck is off the little lights that make the switches glow all go out. I am going to hook up an old light bar from my dads jeep to the 25 amp switch tomorrow and I’ll let you know if that one is the same
@@flaberdoopin Thanks.
Is there a way to have them turn on with the DRLS
For sure, you could tap into the fuse for the Daytime running lights really easily! Or any accessory power that is on full time. If I just leave aux 1 switch on full time it is going to be on with DLRS
Do the three little slots above have space to add lights ?
No, sadly they do not. The way I understand it, the lights in the f-150 raptor and the Bronco Raptor are there because the truck is wide enough to require amber marker lights, the ranger is just a baby so it didn’t need them and ford went without. Those three little spots would have been perfect but they are closed off and would require some cutting to make lights fit.
@@flaberdoopin makes sense, that’s such a tease thought, I bet with a little precision drilling it could work… somebody in the aftermarket will figure it out. They look really cool, the ones you did!
I’m pretty sure they already have kits for the top 3, that was what I thought I ordered haha, but then I realized I got these and just went with them
@@flaberdoopin nice! My Raptor is getting built first week of June! Keep me posted if you find those!
Looks great but would have liked some more detail on the install instead of just fumbling around with the plastic piece. Do you have a link to the item? Part number? Would like to have seen specifics in the wiring.
I had the video edited over 30 min at first but thought that was too much. I will put together a quick video of exactly where I pulled wires and everything to make it easier to see install. I ordered from indicarbon and this is the link to what I got. www.indicarbon.com/store/p/ford-ranger-raptor-next-gen-grill-lights-amber/white
I will put behind the Grill a 30 lightbar Strands nuuk dark Night this bar have Position lights Amber / white
Awesome! I was thinking of putting a light behind the grill as well but it will be a super tight fit with the closing slats for the radiator right there
DAMN I ACTUALLY WANTED TO PUT IT ON MINE TOO
No too late brother!
@@flaberdoopin they don't sell it in my country so i wil have to see where to buy it
@@RxngerRxptoryeah, I had to order from a UK store and it shipped from Taiwan. Indycarbon.com

Don’t suppose you have the part number for the seal on the inside of the wings
What seal are you referring too? I don’t have a number but I can do some research
@@flaberdoopin the seals that sit on your wings or fenders I think you call them. Here in the uk I cannot get them and would source from US.
Sorry, I don’t have the part number for those
Where did you get the lights from?
Ordered from indicarbon.com… they have white and amber, I was leaning towards white but I am really liking the look of the amber!

Just ordered along with the ranger bonnet logo in Matt black. 😁
awesome... i didnt see the lettering for the bonnet until after i ordered my lights otherwise i probably would have gotten those as well!
Just ordered a set! Pricey but nice in the end!
awesome... they are expensive but they fit really well and i think they look like they were there from the factory, it doesn't look cheesy or anything.
Although now they are covering the air intake!!
Don’t think this is the weak link in the intake chain… there is a ton of ventilation available all over the front grill
Was hoping to see how it looks at night 😊
I will get a video of that :)
Throw those in the trash
Too late now… I can’t stop once I’ve started, it stings
What's the point of putting clearance lights on it? Ford has them on the F150 Raptor not for aesthetics but legality, Honestly just as bad as the Toyota owners putting them on IMO
You probably shouldn’t put them on your truck then. There are a ton of things on vehicles that are only for looks… the vents on the sides of 80% of sports cars are solid plastic and don’t vent to anything.
@@flaberdoopinBut those said vents are factory, Added vents are as pointless as adding clearance lights to look like another model that actually requires them. As an owner of both my RR will never see clearance lights
Noted. You don’t like things. Your comments are unnecessary as the lights yet you still feel the need to add them. Guess we all do silly things that make us happy, or less miserable perhaps
@@flaberdoopin You're right I don't like clearance lights on vehicles that don't require them, They look dumb and serve absolutely no purpose except to mimic a vehicle they do not have or cannot afford, Same as dudes who put raptor grills on base models.
To each their own, have fun bud!
