I read through most of the comments. I found that you do not reply to questions /concerns. You replied to the compliments. Hope this platform can be more helpful !
With the add-a-circuit you need to pay special attention to the orientation. One way or works as intended, the other way the original fuse is coping with the consume of both circuits so you may get constant blown fuses. It is important to check with a circuit light or voltmeter. The wire side should always be on the cold side of the circuit.
I understand they are oriented but if your using a fuse tap to a relay then you should only be only be pulling the very low amperage to the switch and not the full amperage of the accessorie. So it really shouldn't be overloading the circuit. Is that right?
@@danielbonner8309 correct but with canbus vehicles it isn't recommended to add draw to circuits, the other issue with add a circuit is that if you reverse it the new circuit won't be protected. That's is because if the tail is on the hot side then it is basically bypassing the fuse.
@@munecito Ok. I see that when just adding a an accessory directly to the add a circuit but when your adding a harness with a relay you would be getting the power directly from the battery which has an inline fuse in it. Regardless I'd want the fuse tap oriented correctly.

Do I need a wiring harness like the one you used in the video, for putting a couple of interior lights underneath the glove box on the passenger seat and beneath the steering wheel to give a bit of light by my feet?
6:33 you say you need to "connect it to the bare wire coming out of the switch". Which wire are you referencing because the switch I have has 3 wires. Thanks
Really helpful! I juste recieced my new fog lights and it only came with a diagram about the wires without any instructions. You just solved my problem!
I found this video helpful. I installed a few aftermarket lights on the truck after watching this and reading my instructions. The process might seem intimidating, but it was actually fun once i got started.😊
Thank you for this great video helping me to install my lights. The only question I have is how do you penetrate the switch wiring through the firewall. I only have an existing wiring rubber boot(already loaded with a bunch of wires). I can poke a hole through the robber and fish the wire through, but not the switch (too big) or the wire connecting harness (too big as well). Any suggestions? Thanks
Hello again, I just ordered the relay/wiring from Amazon. Disregard my question about fuse sizing etc. It has all that info etc in the kit from Auxbeam. Fantastic price too, only $15.99 + tax, prime next day delivery. New subscriber too. Thanks again for the Link.
Have a general electrical question about wiring in SPST on-off switch to aftermarket driving lights. In VA these lights can only come on when the low beams are active, so I will have a wire as a trigger from the headlights connecting to the relay lead for the normal on/off switch. I don't want to sue them all the time, as in city driving so, I am installing an old school high beam foot switch on the floor board to turn them on'off only when low beams are on. Question: What lead/wire to the relay do I install the switch inline The wire from the trigger wire that would be the normal on/off switch (makes sense), the fused 12VDC power in, the chassis ground, or the power out to the driving lights. Seems any of these would work, but not sure if one is optimal.
Hi, enjoying your style of presentation :) I am looking at this with a view to installing my accessories to a motorcycle, same same, but different to a car just a little :) Looking at other videos also, how is it best to work out what you can have without it going up in smoke ! For instance, Dash Cam + Phone Charger + LED Spotlights approx 55 watts all up.... I was going to use a fuse block but the one that arrived is limited to 20 Watts.... Would it be better to use relays ? TIA :D
Thanks for this video although it didn't quite answer what I'm trying to figure out - how to use a harness where the low-current switching circuit is powered by the high-beam lights, and remove it so the switch is powered directly but without short-circuiting the battery with no load.
Hello there, Question I would like to install a on off switch for my existing lights on my riding lawn mower. What steps do I need to take please advise thank you.

I have pre-installed aux switches in my bronco and I have a wiring harness for four ditch lights. The wiring harness has a switch and a relay. And I'm wondering where do I cut on the harness to attach to the ox switch and ground? Do I cut where the switch is and use those two wires or do I cut somewhere else on the harness like where the battery wires are at? I'm confused on how to do this and can't find any answers even from the company I bought these from.
