      @@coal3175 I used microwave for the video to speed up, but it is not better way. It's better if you use double boiler, so gelatin melt slowly with out boiling. Just put little bit of water in any cooking pot and put your bowl with gelatin on the top, with out touching the water. water will boil and steam will melt your gelatin perfectly, till it's clear in color. I hope it's help. Let me know. I did say that in my video

    Heal the holes in the resin by dropping tiny amounts of superglue with a pin. And for the holes in the jelly molds, you can drop tiny amounts of jelly with a hot pin .

    I am using the mold by pouring wax into the mold. After it hardens, remove the wax figure. Place in casting sand. Heat to melt wax and pour hot metal into the sand mold. Makes super detailed texture shapes.

    I love the cat! He thinks you're talking to him, so he's talking back. Mine doesn't meow but when I have my phone on speaker to hear messages, she gets right in my face! And listening to your videos without headphones (as I am right now) she comes and tries to sit on the laptop. Cats are silly.

    Thank you for the video. I have been experimenting with this technique. Now I put half cup of gelatine and quarter cup of glycerine and just mix together. When mixed I add hot water from the tap, a little at first to mix and then keep adding and mixing to fill my 500ml jug. There are bubbles on top and i use folded paper towel to skim them across the top.
    Place the jug in the freezer for a couple of hours.
    I then put in microwave on 50 percent for about 5 mins till runny. Make sure it is all dissolved.
    The glycerine keeps it from going mouldy I read, but have not had mine long enough to know for sure.
    The mixture is quite strong.
    I have used it to make resin items without any problems and they come out very detailed.
    If they dont turn out how you want just put back in jug and remelt.

    • @lilbohbeat5785
      @lilbohbeat5785 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m thinking you might be right... personally, seeing the accessibility and affordability of the materials - I recommend setting up a small-scale experiment; use the scientific experimental method they teach in grade school in order to test as many different methods that you can come up with ☺️. You might discover a huge creative breakthrough that changes and levels-up your entire repertoire!

    • @lilbohbeat5785
      @lilbohbeat5785 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      (By breakthrough, I mean you could discover a process that’s never before been seen or even attempted! That kind of thing can make a successful artistic career, so it’s always worth experimenting with your own ideas when others don’t seem to know anything about it 🤷🏻‍♀️ Just my thoughts, anyhow.

The mold is firm but stickey looks like a piece of sweet. But it is all my mistake. Jyst wanted to shar this. (Give enogh time foe gelatin to melt and turn smooth transparent)

    What does the glycerin do to the gelatin...what the purpose of the glycerin

    • @ahmedalhiyari
      @ahmedalhiyari 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      One to make rubber but not sticking together. Other to make parts sticking to gether but not rubber. Guess which is which.
      The best is to pour 1 glycerine with 1 water then add half gelatin over heating not microwaving then you got transparent silicony rubber. Color with food colors to have transparent colored cilicony rubber.
      Search in youtube for ( Gelatine & Glycerine ) for more know how.
      Good luck.
