It's Time to Overhaul Our DIY Waterfall

  • The waterfall feature that we built inside our Atlas Greenhouse (the "Jungle Greenhouse," as we call it) here at Grass Roots isn't working out quite the way I'd hoped. There are a few leaks behind the diy waterfall, and the space just isn't useable for retail. But it turned out decently well in the beginning and it had a good run, so it's served its purpose. Now we can continue working on our Living Wall and maybe even open up a space for selling orchids?

Hello, My sister and I drove to Graniteville from Charleston for her birthday last week. We had an unforgettable experience. One of your wonderful ladies gave us a guided tour! We covered everywhere we were allowed to go and chose our purchases and off we went to Aiken for lunch. I follow Kimberly on TH-cam, she recommended your nursery and The Neon Fig in Aiken for lunch which was closed on Tuesday. Your sweet lady had recommended Salty Tomato and it was very good. We decided to go back to Grass Roots to buy some Hosta. Your nursery is intriguing and so much fun at every turn. My parents and I ran an orchid laboratory and nursery for 30 years, so I really loved all aspects of your business. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. So sorry we didn't get to meet you. Maybe next time.

that is a nice transformation and I like the look of the fine gravel on the ground. Depending on how you plan to arrange the orchid displays and if the customers are allowed to step on the gravel, maybe consider putting some flagstone pavers into the gravel, so that customers realize they are allowed to step into the area and the pavers will also give them a 'boundary' as to how far they should step into it.

Love the big Stag Horn.. Ryan is it better for them to hang on be in a pot? I have a fairly large one with long leaves and they seem to bend under due length and weight. Enjoyed the video!

im wondering if Larry did not want some of that clay covered gravel , in the wild they are often found near clay outcrops, it has to do with a essential dietary supplement they extract from eating the clay that their base line foods do not provide them , orchid wall would be cool 🥸🤓
