As a past CAD Designer who got tired of staring at computers and sitting around, this guy has my Dream Job! This is right up my alley -much more creative than it all being done on the computer! So fun!
Hi there, Jane from Melbourne Australia here, After watching the installation of an enormous swimming pond made on Laura's property (Im a long time Garden Answer follower) I was inspired to look up Aquascape Australia. I was amazed to find a landscaper who installed your aquascape products in the next town to me!!! I had him come round to discuss design posibilities. He turned a totally unused corner of my garden into a beautiful feature with a waterfall and small pond . This has been such a joy to the kids in the family and in the evening the sound of the waterfalls are so relaxing. Thank you for this my garden is my pride and joy and now I'm retired I have many many hours of pleasure thanks to a video watched in Oregan.
Someone called Ben Hutchinson landscapes. Absolute joy to have working in your garden, His team is so friendly and very efficient. Good knowledge for plant choices for the pond area. They also have a stall at the Garden Show here in Melbourene and have done some of the water features at a Garden centre called Garden world in Melbourne. Any one wanting a contractor for water features I can not recomend them emough.
My husband and I attended the July 20th Pond tour and met Laura. She's amazing! The tour of the ponds were amazing! We had so much fun! Thanks for making our day!
I needed both the walk through and the drawing to "see" the project. I watched the Aquascape Chicago tour and was impressed about how each pond (and more) were unique. Your talents and creativity are impressive. I was also impressed by the play space and planted roof at your headquarters. They show how important team building is.
I follow Laura and completely enjoyed watching your crew create Laura's Dreamstream. It's even more beautiful than the drawing. I understand the paint lines but the drawing helps visualize the finished work. I'm so impressed with your understanding of how natural waterways are formed by water which you translate into these natural-looking ponds and streams, Fabulous work guys!
Another vote for the color drawings here. Really puts everything in perspective. This is so exciting...can hardly wait to see it all come to fruition. 💚😊💚
Laura and Aaron are two of my favorite people. I NEVER miss any of their content. It’s the first thing I watch before I get out of bed in the morning. She inspires my day. Now I will watch for your content as well.
Brian, I really appreciate your creative eye for ponds and their landscaping! This was amply demonstrated in your own yard that we saw during the tour: I enjoyed all of what we saw, but yours was really on its own level!!
In the UK we use barley straw, in net bags, floated in the pond to prevent string algae growth. It might be a solution until the wetland filter starts working properly
The drawing shows a water wonderland. Well done! I look forward to watching this become a reality. I have my morning coffee watching Garden Answer and really enjoyed seeing the pond construction last year.
Brian you are amazing at what you do and how you come up with a plan from bare land. I vote the drawing. I liked the paint explanation but then you see the drawing and it gives you a whole new perspective and appreciation of how big this is going to be. I'm a visual person so the drawing was super helpful!!
I'm a great visualizer, so, walking through is enough for me - HOWEVER - I ALSO LOVE looking at the drawings afterwards! Can't wait to see the Dream Stream as a WIP and then Finished Project - watching the pond install last year was a favorite, the teams were incredible, and the camaraderie a beautiful thing to get to witness! Can't wait to see you all back at it again!
Brian, you do awesome work. Thank you for creating the drawing for us visual people. I loved listening to Laura describe your vision and see the excitement on her face. GA has such a huge following that a successful project there will make your business explode. Not everyone can afford a dream steam & pond. But we can work on our own little piece of paradise.
I’ve gone back to college to be a landscape architect after being an interior designer for 25 years. I loved seeing how you did the drawing and how everybody’s techniques are a little bit the same and a little bit different. Thank you for sharing.
Can’t wait to see this become reality Laura’s tours of your places in Chicago certainly sealed the deal - and made all of us drool. I’ve sent those videos out to MANY people who are now subscribing to you and Laura. October is going to be AMAZING!
It's going to be beautiful! The only water feature in my yard is a 2 tiered concrete fountain and I love it. The sound of moving water is good for the soul
Looking forward to this new project, I hope it goes ahead it sounds amazing. However I 'm in the UK and we still haven't had any decent weather and hoping for summer to start!
Brian is the best Pond Designer that you could ever hope for! He has done 4-5 features for me. I am so excited to see what your dream stream looks like. Looking forward to seeing you in Chicago!
I love it!! I am graduated from college at a time when you still learned so much about design manually and maybe a 1/10 of it was done with a cad program (automotive/unigraphics) in my case. So I completely appreciate what the combination of all of those tactile visual aids offer! Just as everyone learns differently, everyone also sees things differently. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s incredible! I cannot wait to see the garden/water feature tours!!
Glad you are back to garden answer , Q's, there is a white storage building, at the end of streams, if I stop, I see white blank wall, is it better at the end of streams, to put tall evergreen Then your eyes will go to evergreen not white wall. Walk in the forest. Every building is away from nature. You can suggest garden answer.❤
I just LOVE what you & the dream team has done & cant wait to see all the wonderful additions. The whole process interests me but especially like the old school approach to drawing it out to scale. Then later that drawing could be a cherished gift when framed. ❤
This is sooo exciting! I was cracking up cause at about 10:15 Laura was getting showed up by the kids in the background doing hand stands. lol You asked... I liked both colored drawing and seeing the marking paint on the actual space.
The most exciting part of this dream was seeing you, Brian, your bubbly enthusiasm, excitement & skills, jump into this " Dream Stream !" Majic doesn't happen unless you can experience a screw up now & then. Green slim is not so important at this stage of workmanship! Nature does very well at balancing in time. No worries. Just throw in some bottom feeders and poof, it shall become cleaner. ( small ones will get along with koi, about 8 aquarium cute ones pre quarantined.) They can live thru winter too snuggling up with big boys.
A fun island feature could be a statue on a flat rock platform. You can also tie to electric to be lit up at night. Thx for sharing website to get scale...good reminder if looking to buy a property to build❤
Can't wait until October to see this project being executed. I love being in the location and seeing your paint lines, but the drawing helps give it real dimension and helps me really visualize the final product.
I really loved watching you put everything down on paper - it was also nice to see the lines painted out on the property. I'm so excited to watch the Dream Stream come to life this Fall. Long time Laura fan and now an aquascape fan too - dreaming of a long meandering pondless waterfall someday. ❤😊
Very interesting to watch you draw the plan......Benjamin will love watching this part and see how you draw the plan. See you later at the Garden. Thank you.
Comment below if would you like to see more sketches, marketing with the paint or something different.
Marker sketches drawing looks good. However, there should be elevation changes and a water fountain pump😂 what about led h2o lighting?
Love them all! Today's video was perfect!! Keep up the great work!
Love them all! Today's video was perfect!! Keep up the great work!
I am a visual person, so seeing the sketch is a tremendous help. More sketches with color please.
More sketches

That’s so awesome. Who was the contractor?

Lucky you!! 😂

Honestly, I could not even imagine it from the description or walking it. That drawing is everything!

Definitely sketches! Beautiful

So excited to see it all happening. It’s going to be gorgeous, not too long to wait now & it will be cooler this time for all.😁👍
Brian, I really appreciate your creative eye for ponds and their landscaping! This was amply demonstrated in your own yard that we saw during the tour: I enjoyed all of what we saw, but yours was really on its own level!!
My favorite part of the process was watching you draw it on the paper.
Living your best life. 🎉 love the drawing, thanks. I can't wait to see this happen.
I love the drawings Brian. Makes it easier to visualise what it will look like 😊
So amazing. ❤
I cannot wait for the addition to be added on to the pond. Garden Answer fans have been watching every change as it's been happening. So exciting!!!
I like both the painted outline and the drawing. The drawing made it come to life. Thank you for sharing. I can’t wait for this project.😊
In the UK we use barley straw, in net bags, floated in the pond to prevent string algae growth. It might be a solution until the wetland filter starts working properly
We will use that as well to help clear up the water! The IonGen will help with the string algae for sure.
I love the drawing, Brian, what a talented designer! ❤
The drawing shows a water wonderland. Well done! I look forward to watching this become a reality. I have my morning coffee watching Garden Answer and really enjoyed seeing the pond construction last year.
CanNOT wait to see this dream come to fruition! Thanks, Brian and Laura and Aaron for sharing the whole process with us!

I liked the paint explanation but then you see the drawing and it gives you a whole new perspective and appreciation of how big this is going to be. I think it's helpful to see the design both ways. You get a different perspective from each.
I know it’s going to be awesome. Can’t wait to see it happening.

Can’t wait to see the build it will be amazing. Then with Laura magic touch it will be fantastic.
So exciting!
Hard to wait!!!
Absolutely love watching your thought process on projects !
It's going to be beautiful! The only water feature in my yard is a 2 tiered concrete fountain and I love it. The sound of moving water is good for the soul
I can’t wait to watch all of this to come together. It was fun watching the first install.
Really enjoyed the pond processes last time. Looking fwd to the dream stream install. Arron and Laura have such beautiful gardens.
So excited for the whole process. Love watching Benjamin getting involved. The island should be a place the kids can plant a flag 🏴☠️
Looking forward to this new project, I hope it goes ahead it sounds amazing. However I 'm in the UK and we still haven't had any decent weather and hoping for summer to start!

Planting island, definitely!!!!💯
Can’t wait to see the magic you create! You know your stuff! The algae situation will get worked out and will be just fine…..
So exciting for this project. Thanks for sharing your process. Very interesting!
So exciting! Dream team for sure❤️ I’m looking forward to the color drawing ✍️ Can’t wait!

Great design! It should go into the pasture so the future horses can drink from it!! Very exciting!!!
Wow wow Brian!!! You made Laura's explanation visible, can't wait also. We'll done.
I would want both! Because when you have the map then to map it out you can have the vision and see and feel if it feels right!
Laura is looking forward to this stream addition, I can't wait to see the finished product! 😊
I just LOVE what you & the dream team has done & cant wait to see all the wonderful additions. The whole process interests me but especially like the old school approach to drawing it out to scale. Then later that drawing could be a cherished gift when framed. ❤
Bah! Can’t wait to see this one come to life. Love the drawing too!
Absolutely amazing. Awesome design Brian. Gonna be beautiful. 💦
I like the drawing and thanks for sharing your process! Exciting!
Would have liked to see more of the drawing. Like the way you do old school drawing. Looks great.
This is sooo exciting! I was cracking up cause at about 10:15 Laura was getting showed up by the kids in the background doing hand stands. lol You asked... I liked both colored drawing and seeing the marking paint on the actual space.
Color drawings are the best to visualize, for anyway
Can't wait to see this design to all come together.
🎼🎶 Island in the stream🎶
It is going to Rock!!!
Love the drawing. It really helps me understand what’s going in. I hope they don’t change their minds.
Brian,
I hope you give your drawing to Laura when you are done. It is so beautiful and she might want to frame it.
Absolutely!
It is going be hard having to wait for all this to begin. It looks like it will be absolutely wonderful.♥️
The most exciting part of this dream was seeing you, Brian, your bubbly enthusiasm, excitement & skills, jump into this " Dream Stream !" Majic doesn't happen unless you can experience a screw up now & then.

🙌🙌🙌
What fun to watch HOW and WHY and WHY NOT. We get a sneak peak at the growth of a dream into reality. THANKS for including us.
Drawing it out for me makes it easier to understand. It's going to be beautiful
A fun island feature could be a statue on a flat rock platform. You can also tie to electric to be lit up at night. Thx for sharing website to get scale...good reminder if looking to buy a property to build❤
It's going to be STUNNING!!! Man, i wish i could afford you 😭😭😭😭😭😭
We all wish we could afford something like this.
These concepts of water flow & directions remind me of L. Capability Brown in English estates.
I’m from Laura’s channel and she is my girl with great ideas. Can’t wait to see how this turns out its going to be amazing I just know it.
That looks amazing! Love the design feature.
Incredible job can’t wait to see it done in October
OH MY GOSH!!! This is going to be FABULOUS!!! Watched when you put the pond in and can't wait to watch the Dream Stream to go in!
I think a fountain on a rock island would be perfect ❤
Rock island overhang for fish shade.
Can't wait to see this built!
Looks great! Blessings!
Teamscape’s guy is so talented
You both did a fantastic job in laying out the vision! I’m all about the colored pencils to visualize the project. Excellent job!
I think the timetable is October of this year. Now that they own the back property, the bigger berms can be added. It’s going to be awesome.
How about a Lazy River? The kids would love that!
You did a wonderful job on the sketches. I the know it will be great the way you draw ✍️ the pictures!
Loved the drawing. Very excited to see it happen come November.
CANNOT WAIT until this install! Her planting around this dream stream will be EPIC!
Great job! I would need both the drawing and spray paint on the ground! This will be a fun project!
Can't wait to the build this fall, love the current pond so I know this is going to be amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Wow watching the creek dude draw. Oh golly!
Can't wait until October to see this project being executed. I love being in the location and seeing your paint lines, but the drawing helps give it real dimension and helps me really visualize the final product.
Wonderful and inspiring video, thanks for sharing!
You're so talented! Love the drawings.
Thank you so much!
Love Laura. She is truly inspiring.
This will be amazing in a few years. On that little island, Laura & Aaron can have something bonsai-esk...
I really loved watching you put everything down on paper - it was also nice to see the lines painted out on the property. I'm so excited to watch the Dream Stream come to life this Fall. Long time Laura fan and now an aquascape fan too - dreaming of a long meandering pondless waterfall someday. ❤😊
I have faith that they will get the string algae under control! They knew it would be a 3 year process.
🙌 Getting there!
I loved every detail of what you're is going to take place How exciting,
Very interesting to watch you draw the plan......Benjamin will love watching this part and see how you draw the plan. See you later at the Garden. Thank you.
Aron , Laura , Benjamin , Samantha and I would love a camping area next to the pond so we can go camping and sleep outside under the stars!
I love the drawings and coloring, plus they can frame it later!
This looks great. It makes it more realistic to see it on paper. Thank you for sharing
Plans look wonderful!❤❤❤
I appreciated both the drawing and the walk through. You guys do amazing work!
The sketches are amazing. Anticipation for October is building!
As an artist with the medium of colored pencil I find it's more visible drawn out on paper first.
Wow! What a gorgeous project. Such a great addition.
