Excuse the terrible editing. Hey guys i finally made a tutorial after promising for too long! I understand if this tutorial is confusing. Feel free to ask anything regarding so :D
@@loukenart as I said briefly in the video, search for acapellas on youtube or anywhere available (there are also a number of websites regarding downloadable acapellas if you search for it). But there are risks of copyright strikes though pretty damn rare. Pretty easy to avoid but If you're not sure, you can record your own voice however you like!
A tip you might wanna use is to put all the vocal samples into a bus and call it, "Vocal Chops" or something like that. Then you can mix the vocals easier and add effects easier.
If you really want a free vocal sample you search on google. Cymatics would be my first bet cymatics.fm/ they have all the plugins and samples, dozens of free ones, including vocal packs. You should check that. But ultimately, all you gotta do is find an acapella and chop a syllable. I highly doubt you can get copyrighted from that.
Thanks for the request! In the meanwhile there is a youtuber called Cubician that teaches you the basics of LMMS, every single one of them, including automation! Mostly, he's the one that taught me stuff about LMMS
It's illegal only when the original voice is recognizable. 99% of the time we don't even know where vocal chops come from, as they're just short Aah's and Ooh's with added effects. But if they cut a whole lyric, for example... people will recognize that, and it would be a problem. But if you wanna make sure you're 100% safe, you can simply record your own voice as a sample.
@@NeonDefense385 Okay another question....what about making a remix and selling it or making money off it? I have seen this all over youtube example th-cam.com/video/IUGzY-ihqWc/w-d-xo.html in the description there is a link to buy now.
@@TheNamesJT oh boy... well that's just how it is, huh? They probably are making money off of it, it stresses me out how effortless people can be whilst making bags of money. 'Effortless' might not be the best word, but again, they're using someone else's music as a foundation of theirs -- also regarding Lo-Fi artists that make hundreds or thousands just putting a beat on top of slowed-down old music. Is it fair? Not at all. But at the end of the day... people like it, they buy it, everyone's happy 😕

Hmm hmm hmm what do u mean?
Okay but is this legal? modifying someones voice and using it in your music?
