I used this software on my two latest tracks. Works good. I understand some people are against producing vocals this way. I see it as a tool. No difference from using a virtual piano or sampled drums.
I think this tool would be useful for a songwriter who can't sing and wants to bring a song to the band but I don't think that this should be used as a final song.
I remember how we did music back in the 60's. It is impressive to find out how much technology, now, one kid can utilize in his own little room. It's literally mind blowing.
One kid with no music skills who brags he can push a few buttons and the computer does it all for him. AI was meant to do boring jobs so we would have more time to be creative, instead its taking creativity away, if it disappeared tomorrow some “artists” would have a meltdown

A lot of the younger bedroom ones are good producers because they’ve learnt their equipment who’d be better teaming up with someone who can write songs instead of everything sounding similar

I mean, there a lot of producers who don't sing and either produce music for other artists or collaborate with singers to use their vocals. I wouldn't say they're bad at music. And using ai generated vocals may be bad in terms of quality or lacking of the human element, but I don't see how it makes a person a bad musician if the only skill it replaces is singing, not affecting producing, song writing or instrument skills

You are very skilled, I used to do this with Symphonic Choirs back in the days and Vocaloid but I must say that ai kills this department with creating vocals. With Suno I create a quick song with a celeb accapella, write a text, extract stems and replace it again with a higher quality ai voice.
TIP: 1:44, you don't even need to go to the menu, just click on the musical note and it will give you that menu, plus if you enable it, you can lock the piano roll when you draw to the notes.

I agree with you both but there is another side to using “artificial” music. Professional composers and song writers use more sophisticated computer applications to compose mockups to later be performed by live artists and musicians. All of the major composers for film and TV prepare their compositions in a mockup because paying artists to sit while they compose would be outrageously expensive and tedious for the musicians. And song writers use mockups to pitch to recording labels or bands. And then there’s the kid in his or her bedroom doing what you said. 😉🤟🏼💕 Gianni❤

I agree, but there is also another side. I'm a father of two, I like programming games for my kids (useful content, no ads....), no problem as I am a software engineer. But a game lives from music and graphics, code is just the glue to keep all together. But it is a hobby, I can't pay for artists. And to find all the people you need, saying, cool project, I have kids too I'm in for hobby is impossible when you have a full time job and a family. So these tools are a great help in my situation
First of all, thank you for a demonstration - it looks interesting to play with ... I just have one question, what's with the strange accent in "shadOWs" instead of "shAdows"? I thought that maybe it was an initial/default mistake that you'll correct later, but it seems you left it like that and it's really hard to listen to because it sounds weird, unusual, odd, wrong - at least to me and English is my second language so I bet it sounds even weirder to a native speaker?
This is too much work to get it done right. And it will still sound robotic. Singing it with your own voice, tuning it with Autotune/Melodyne and then using an AI service to change your voice to someone else's will be faster and will get much much better results.

$150 a year? No thanks. Maybe if it sounded like a real person, not fake. I'd probably buy it if it was an app to purchase. But I'm not renting it for $150 a year! Not only that, I was trying to get the free trial, and did not use any Google login info. But when I clicked the free trial link my freaking CC number came up! Said it would charge that acct $150 after the trial if I didn't cancel. You want my business? Give me a free trial that just stops working after the trial period with a prompt saying the trial period expired and click the link to purchase. One more thing, my security program cancelled the download for the free trial. Said it looked "shady" and they were sending the file to their lab for a closer look. Looks too shady for me.

It's a good program, but there are others that you can buy without a subscription. Now I'd like to say that in France you can't find singers if you're not a producer who pays the radio stations and even TV to get you known. It's also impossible to find a singer if you're a little out of touch with musical trends. So I'd rather use this kind of program than do nothing.
Unfortunately this software is a credit card trap. 14-day trial but then it's subscription only. In other words you're stuck like an adobe application with a monthly charge or you lose access to your work. So unfortunate that they chose to do it this way rather than on outright purchase. I will wait for an open source version
I tried this out a few months back and found it to be a bit gash if you ask me. Like the word Shadows in this track sounds like a Chinese lassie singing that particular word, which is what I found when I tried it out, the vocals sounded naff and Chinese, turns out the company is Chinese by the seems of it, not that I have anything against Chinese singers at all, it just wasn't the vibe I was after, I theory it's a great idea, in Practice it's not great and like others said great to take a tune to a real singer and ask them to sing it. There are a few far better AI voice systems out there which I've used and they are very good. You can copy all your lyrics, select all notes and paste the lyrics in one go and it lays them all down for you, also I'm pretty sure you can right click the audio click and select create harmony and it does it for you without doing anything. Just my opinion and does have a place in laying out an idea but would never use it as a track release.

@@mrpad0 it would for me since A) my voice is out of shape these days, and B) we now have my elderly mother in law living with us so I can't do much loud vocalizing. I normally do a lot of takes to get a good track. This kind of program would be a huge benefit to finish demos.

@@abdulkarim-t7g I really don't have the time, sorry. There are plenty of tutorials on the melodyne TH-cam channel. You need to go back as far as possible from when it first came out. My first job with Melodyne, was harmonising a beautiful female voice singing a song called Shining. You can change the formant and pitch on a created cloned track, all done in the standalone mode of Melodyne. Just import your track and sing to it, or, do it in your DAW, export them out and then clone the vocal to work on. Be sure to back them up and work on the back up. Save each progression in Melodyne, just in case you screw up. Save each progression in the same backup folder. Good luck. If I lived by you, I would definitely spend some time with you, and show you how it's done.
From the official TH-cam channel it seems English/Chinese/Japanese and Spanish are the only languages currently available, so at a push you could use Spanish i guess? hope this helps.

Amazing what they come up with nowadays but it can never replace the heart of a true Artist. I'd rather collaborate with an amateur singer before using this program. It sounds programmed and heavy artificial and that's what it is. I guess there is a market for it but I'd rather invest in the real thing. Thanx for the demo. You can still hear it's AI because of the way the words are spoken and accentuete. Not convinced to buy.
