You would love my style then lol. I'm always hyper-aggressive, even against players my own level. But when I play against lower-rated players (i.e. what you call "solid but not phenomenal players" - so 1800 to 2200 on Lichess), I usually end up absolutely annihilating them lol. This is my favourite rating range to play against since any lower than that and I just win by capitalising on simple blunders, and any higher than that and the games tend to be a lot closer. So 1800 to 2200 is the goldilocks zone for total destruction lol.
Seeing that thumbnail with Eric like some kind of evil malicious player and the aggressive title while being literally one of the kindest and wholesome people on the internet is just such a funny contrast. I love it
Excellent triple, fork, mate in game 1. … queen trap soon after… just all around excellent play! It’s been a while since I’ve watched your videos, but always get a lot out of your content! Thanks Eric!
All the games were exciting, it's hard to choose one. But I definitely liked the game with the symmetrical Italian attack and Smith Morra game. Thanks for the video, Eric ❤. It's always nice to see your calm aggression )
Now I understand those exercises/games purpose where goal is to mate in a very small window of time. Not there yet but I am learning various styles watching your channel. Thanks for sharing.
at 45:45 Erics reputation gave him a free pass to blunder. The opponent was probably telling himself "Oh no, Eric is sitting in his room saying 'OH NO, my knight' while planning to win my queen or something"
Awesome video. It's cool to see pro's play "bad" moves because the opponents definitely don't know how to punish most moves especially is a blitz match
It feels coming from a blitz/rapid background that you favor lines that are aggressive naturally. I’m always too afraid to take these kinds of lines and fear I am opening up a multi move blunder or hang a piece.
I finally understood how to play aggressive chess! It's simple, if opponents plays this I play this, and if opponent plays this I play this, but in a rare occasion of opponent deciding to play this I just play this, this and this and I win!
Eric! You are the man! I have learned so much from your videos. lol I want to make a song and the drop will be "Somebody call an ambulance... but not for me" 😄
thanks for the aggressive version of content my favourite game was the first gameas the queen sac put you in prime position for the mate a few moves later the last game was a sweet finish with the hungry hippo knight though it was a close second lol
Question about the position at 31:00 -- Is Bishop A4 a playable move here? Reasoning: B Pawn can't block check (they will be captured with check). Also, looks like a scary fork but isn't which is fun. Queen can block but will be captured. If knight blocks queen is captured. If king moves it loses castling rights. Looks like black's best move it to block with the C pawn. Possible interesting follow-up If white plays knight takes on D6 and if queen takes, white plays bishop takes on F6 and after black recaptures with pawn white takes the pawn with the rook, pinning black's bishop.
Agreed. He said “pinning” haha but just walked into a discovery lol. I honestly expected a “doh” since opponent is 2100 and had 2 minutes on the clock, but his opponent seemed to be playing like they berserked so he got away with it haha
Strong aggressive games against solid but not phenomenal players is one of my favorite video types from you.
I hate that this perfectly describes my feelings, as well

@@maxkho00 brag a bit more, why dont you 😂
His killer instinct is clearly visible behind that gentle facade.
"Happiness and world domination"
Sometimes I'm just thankful that Rosen picked up chess and not, I don't know, mixed martial arts. I feel a lot safer in this version of reality.
I read that 86% of ambulances called in the St. Louis metro area are for Rosen foes
That first game was amazing 😊
Perfect 🤌🏼

he can only be so nice because he got chess to let out his inner killer... i'm sure chess saved the world countless serial killers xD
I like how something he's trying to work on is happiness and of course world domination
lol
I mean, i would be pretty happy if i dominated the world
d'oh... world domination IS happiness, and happiness IS world domination
He's murdering his opponents with agressive chess while commentating with his calm ASMR voice.
Eric is so fun to watch when he plays ultra aggressive. It feels like it's second nature to him.
The goose is loose!

Eric: 12:03
And that's why we love Eric right there!
Happiness: the ultimate goal
44:00 opponent missed Bh3+, which would have won Eric's queen
Yes. Great to have the OG videos back. This is what we missed
There's a lot of similar content on his second channel
@@jpietersen519 yup. I spend more time there than on the main lol
@@jpietersen519 thank you, didn't know, good data

The first game was something. Never seen anything this wild
31:10 "I have to be aggressive here, it's not easy"
poor Eric
"This knight is being fed too well" 😂
Was the most fun chess video I've seen. Well done Eric! Love these vids! Definitely the queen sac for my favorite game!
This is awesome. So much fun watching aggressive chess. Just more interesting albeit likely less sound.
How often is it that Eric says, "This is not good" or "This is really bad" or "I'm in trouble"... then... "hee hee"... wins.
That first game…pure savagery.
All the games were exciting, it's hard to choose one. But I definitely liked the game with the symmetrical Italian attack and Smith Morra game. Thanks for the video, Eric ❤. It's always nice to see your calm aggression )
Classic IM Rosen content here! Your ability to effortlessly slide between positional and romantic playing styles is phenomenal :)
Thanks!
Thank you so much!

Eric not only defined how to entertain us with his great aggressive chess but also how epic thumbnails have to look alike. 🔥
Erics thumbnail game has always been on point
at 45:45 Erics reputation gave him a free pass to blunder. The opponent was probably telling himself "Oh no, Eric is sitting in his room saying 'OH NO, my knight' while planning to win my queen or something"

damnnn that first game was next level

As someone who has played the O’Sullivan Gambit hundreds of times… happy to see you pull out that W with it!
I highly enjoy both the aggressive and the calm instructive games, I just enjoy watching you play
I finally understood how to play aggressive chess! It's simple, if opponents plays this I play this, and if opponent plays this I play this, but in a rare occasion of opponent deciding to play this I just play this, this and this and I win!
It's cristal clear!!! How i didn't see it before??? Thanks, it was an epiphany🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I clenched hard at 44:00 , thought Eric was about to lose his queen. Lucky both sides missed it
Eric! You are the man! I have learned so much from your videos. lol I want to make a song and the drop will be "Somebody call an ambulance... but not for me" 😄

“Marinate the pawn “ never heard that, never will forget it now
Eric, please more videos like this one. I really liked when you play different gambits.
Fantastic attacks! Thanks you Eric!
Eric u the man , love your attitude towards chess, and life
That first game 😂
I'm glad you are addressing your anger problem, it's been clear from day 1 you're a rageaholic... I hope you manage to kick that sweet sweet rageahol.
at 44:00, would the opponent have ...Bh3+ to win the queen?
Came to post same thing!
Agreed. He said “pinning” haha but just walked into a discovery lol. I honestly expected a “doh” since opponent is 2100 and had 2 minutes on the clock, but his opponent seemed to be playing like they berserked so he got away with it haha
Love it we need more of this content !
Was that Alireza really that you smoked at 12:35 ?? Thats phenominal
No!
Great title, Jason Bourne of the Chess world. Great idea for a film with a drunken monkey opening and a philidor defense.
Yes! This is what we want for 2024! Love it
Sorry, not "Game 13. I meant 41:47 Wing GAMBIT vs Sicilian Defense, move 24. ...Bh3+?
That was very entertaining ❤
When Eric can't stop his aggression it's all fine, but when I can't stop my aggression it's "sir, this is a school" and "you're scaring the children"
no queen trade. 1st game - please, have my queen ;)
is it me or is Eric sounding more and more like Lock Picking Lawyer every day?
Give a raise to the thumbnail guy
Out of all the blitz games I’ve played against Rosen, I’ve never lost.
28:18 no stalemate trap haha
You chose the wrong move order.
It's
1. World domination
2. Creating happiness
Did Eric blunder discovered on queen at 44:02? Bishop f3+ should lose the queen since black queen can capture for free
Omg I love this type of videos!
What a start!!
Nice first game 🔥
The year of Dark Rosen has begun!
You make it look so easy
I can't stop watching Eric 😮
One of your best vids
This was enjoyable
This was awesome.
I envy your knowledge so much. You are my favorite chess player
i enyoyed that a lot
That thumbnail goes hard
Feeling like watching Schumacher racing my grandma.
Just coming from Eric’s twitch channel where we had a viewer blitz tournament! Get over there sometime to have fun with us!
Couldnt you have won the queen at 22:43 on top of the Rook with Bc7?
Eric goes chuck norris mode
love that fourth game. Good game
You are absolutely my favorite
Hard to imagine the nicest guy in chess as being super aggressive.
Opponent in first game is still saying, "Anyone get the number of that truck???"
Eric please do not scare me im trying to sleep
On move 24 in your Game 13 with Raoni, could black have won your Queen with ... Bh3+ 2. Rxh3 Qxe5?
14:06 why not queen f6? If they take the pawn it is mate and if not you put pressure on the d pawn
Very entertaining chess
tht first game was crazy
Watching game 1. "I look forward to your future Botez gambit course."
49:19 hi past me!!
2:25 why not Q to d2? or d1
Yesss new chess vid!!
28:08 "OH NO....!?"
Love how even in the thumbnail photo he still can't hide
his sweet side 🥰
at the 44:00 marker, did you blunder your queen?
black bishop to H3+ takes, then Q takes Q
saccing the queen is just very efficiently avoiding queen trades.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
hourly superblitz yes
symmetrical Italian was my favorite
Doesn't Eric lose at 44:00 when he "pins" the Bishop? Bh3+ wins Eric's Queen.
that was violent
22:42 Why not bc7?
12:05 just read this on someones door today. Happiness is a way of life, not a destination.
this was fun
Holy føck I can't even see what is going on on the board and he says 'checkmate' and it seems to be over.
Bullet is insane
your very first game was epic
That first game was the epitome of filth
