Fantastic Shoe! For me, one of the best shoes to come to market in the past five years! It's quickly becoming one of my all-time favorites. It's just fun to run in. Protective and bouncy at the same time. Initially, I was concerned about the booty-style upper. I've had no issues at all with the upper. The fits is spot-on and is TTS. Will definitely buy another pair. I'm excited to see what's coming next in Mizuno's line up later this year and in 2025. Thank you for a terrific review.

@@timsmith7816 - same, you will probably also love the Cielo x1 also, more bouncy, just as soft, but much faster.

Mizuno kicking arse. Great shoe. With this foam I think they can make a huge impact

First ever to try a Mizuno. Really liking the upper, reminded me of an Under Armour HOVR Phantom. Upper conforms really well with my feet like a sock. Foam gives a nice responsive feel and am enjoying the ride.

For me the Neo Vista midsole is perfect, i hope for V2 the same stack, same midsole (maybe a bit more durability) , with a new platform and upper like triumph 21

108 miles in. Initially, I had hot spots on the bottom of my feet. I think I might have not been getting the laces tight enough? That's gone away, but I do wish the lacing made a runners knot easier. I've basically used this for my Tuesday/Thursday easy runs of 6-7 miles at 9 min/mile. I've enjoyed it more and more to this point. I might give it a go for a longer run, but it's so hot (Texas) and this thing just soaks up the sweat. This is by far the hottest running shoe I've experienced

Love this shoe, but definitely a LSR shoe for me, anything quicker than that and I’m reaching for my Superblast, Cielo X1 or PXS 2. But definitely the shoe I’m turning to the most atm as I prepare for Chicago.

I love the Neo Vista. It changes my foot strike bc i usually run on my forefoot but to get the most out of it I midfoot strike and I feel more efficient even though my coros tech tells me I'm actually not more efficient. Im running at a faster pace but my ground contact time is longer. My cadence is the same though. It feels like im coasting vs when i run in my Endorphin Pro's that feels more choppy.

thanks for the review Matt. I bought it but have only 20k for now using just for daily runs I feel like its too soft for me for faster runs, I definetely gonna try it for longer runs with marathon page.

This confirm my concern with the soft EVA based: the bounce won't last...

As a 250 lb runner this shoe did not work for me at all. Too compliant with almost no resilience at my weight. Also, the booty upper left my feet and ankles doing a lot of work to stay on the platform. I wanted to love this shoe but ultimately had to return it.
Probably not a problem for lighter runners but for me it was a big miss.

As another big guy you find anything you did like? The best I’ve found is the Nike zoom 5 which was broadly panned as too firm and nothing special but at my weight I managed my first good 5k’s , and the nb supercomp trainer v1 I mostly like despite getting absolutely no bounce feeling due to weight but good cushion without feeling unstable. All the reviews for “heavy reviewers” don’t seem so heavy to me so I don’t get similar results

Here are three options for race day that have worked pretty well for me:
Hoka Cielo X1 (This shoe will give you a bounce regardless of your weight. I haven't racef a 5K in this but have done a couple of 10ks and a half marathon. This shoe is amazing!)
Asics Superblast 2 (haven't raced in this but I use it for all of my daily training and long runs)
Asics Magic Speed 4 (so far I've only put one workout into this shoe. However, I really like it. I'll probably use this as my 5k racer going forward. )
      Good luck in your search!@@dscatest

@@dscatest I freaking love the Skyward X. Highly recommend ordering directly from HOKA and taking advantage of the free 60-day returns on used shoes.

Love the midsole and underfoot feel for long runs. I just hope that they are not knit upper, it may work for some runners but most people don’t like knit upper that can’t dial in the proper fit they want.

I too had issues with the width for the little toe. I’ve done about 70km in mine and it has improved, but it is still narrow at the ball of the foot. Medial side at the ball now I notice hangs over. Which I hope stretches out.

Hey Matt, Your thoughts on Neo Vista vs. Superblast 2 for marathon racing at 8:30-8:50 min/mi paces?

    • @DoctorsofRunning
      @DoctorsofRunning  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

@@geoffb2900 great question. Initially I would have said the vista but now after all the miles, I like the Superblast 2 more. The midsole stays more consistent, it is slightly firmer and feels better over longer distances

How stable is this shoe considering the foam layout in the bottom?

Does that small bit of flexibility mean that this won't be a great option for someone with later stage hallux rigidus? Thanks!

As an EVA based shoe will it freeze in cold? And how do you compare it to SC trainer?

I am skeptical to try because everyone said it is very soft.
