Actually, Giorgo Moroder, the Father of Disco, and Kraftwerk, (both hailing from Germany) were arguably the real pioneers of synth pop, all the way back in the mid 70's. But electronic keyboards go bavk as far as the late 50's early 60's. However, sampling and sequencing didn't come along until the mid 70's, and it was all analogue, and tape loops. No digital wizardry back then.

I'm only talking about the fact that this masterpiece was the initial spark for later pop music because it is the first song of this genre that became known worldwide. he combines melancholy music with electronic music and influenced the pop music of the 80s significantly. Clearly Visage with Midge Ure was not only electronic but they created the new romantic sound that was way ahead of its time and which many bands still drew on into the late 80s.

I think, if you give a good youtube name for you, you will have easy hundreds of thousands subscribers. You play very precise, full original sounds in all videos ( I dont know how you are doing), so I listen the original and your version all the same. Very few people can do this....Nice.

Just try to exercise the song, and you'll see that after a while you'll be able to play both parts together, it was the same for me when I started to exercising Fade To Grey. Yes the Jupiter 6 is an absolute beast, overshadowed by the Jupiter 8 but by no means inferior to it, just different. Each member of the Jupiter family (4, 8, and 6) is unique.

Kraftwerk were way more pioneering but Visage certainly had an ear for unique catchy tunes, this being a pop hit helped.
