      First they need to fix the forward pitch angle. In the video the yaw 2 is almost level when the rollercoaster is in fact pointing steeply downwards. That's not good enough as there is plenty of space underneath the legs for the angle to be greater than what it is. They are playing it too safe. Maybe they are saving it for Yaw VR 3.

    • @BrianMonette
      @BrianMonette 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@dtz1000 There is some truth to that however even though the yaw 2 appears to be level while the roller coaster is in a drop, the movement of the simulator is not based on where the coaster is facing but it’s based on the fluid movement inside your ear canal. So even though it’s level it may “feel“ like it’s pitched forward. I bring this up because I’ve actually trained in real hydraulic motion simulators for my flight training as a captain. What you see inside the simulator doesn’t fully match what the simulator is doing outside but when you’re inside flying it feels and looks right.

    I plan to use the Yaw 2 mainly for sim racing but I'm not sure how my fanatec csl elite pedals and wheels will mount. To avoid the cable issues, I opted for the seat without the spinning platform. This will avoid having issues with cables getting tangled as you only have pitch and roll.
    I'm especially concerned about the wheel mount and foot stand as they don't look very sturdy and I don't see proper points on the foot plate to screw the base of the pedals to.
    Hopefully someone at Yaw can respond back. I backed the Yaw 2 and am excited for it but if my system isn't compatible with it, I will likely have to cancel it.

      What concerns me is that every video I have seen of the yaw VR shows people crashing their cars or driving really badly. Also I have seen owners of other motion platforms like the dofreality ones ridicule the yaw VR for sim racing. It may not be well suited for sim racing.

    Hi, I have the YAW2 Arcade now for two months and it works with the Yaw VR program but that’s it, when I use the Yaw VR Game Engine like with No Limits 2 the game and the Yaw chair move but the head set is not in sync, I have to keep pressing the R key on the keyboard to recenter my head set, I am using the Valve Index. I wish some one could make a video from start to finish showing use how to set it up properly. Looks like every one is showing us how it works with games but not how they set it up. Thanks

    • @YawVR
      @YawVR  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brian, you are right, these are just the orientation data, but our Game Engine is capable to handle forces, acceleration and other game data. So you can activate the forces or accelerations to affect the movement anytime, in this case we just didn't turn it on to show the precision of the movement more clearly (you can see in our Xplane 11 or Dirt rally videos how the forces affect the movement)
