    First off, it's nice to know that you don't have to do dishes in your house and that Darryl helps with laundry. Kudos to your family. Secondly, don't ever apologize for using our hands. They're one of the best tools in the kitchen! I use mine all the time. Thirdly, who cares if you have dust in your outdoor kitchen. I have dust in my indoor living room. I am disabled, in pain 24/7 (extremely bad today) and if I don't get to the dusting so be it. I still can do laundry, dishes everyday (as long as I lean over the sink) and shower (started having to use a shower chair because it just hurts too much to stand there and can't take a bath because I wouldn't be able to get up). I vacuum the downstairs mostly sitting on my bed. Thank goodness my son does the floor sweeping and mopping and vacuuming the stairs and upstairs. I purchased a kitchenaid food processor several years ago and does all that your thermomix does and even dices and makes french fries using whole potatoes. Lastly, you're lucky you don't have a child like me. I do NOT like, or better yet cannot stand food touching. If applesauce touches my pork chop I don't eat it. I cannot stand mixed vegetables...one at a time please in separate bowls...He he! Sorry so long.

    • @OurSmallFootprint
      @OurSmallFootprint  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Lol, I was like that as a child, never could have any food touching, but my kids are all pretty good, I think its partly because they've never had a choice, we've been big on food from when all of them were babies, but luck there too! Considering I have a couple who are autistic too! very lucky! I have to delegate some tasks or I'd never get anything done hehe, Darryl and the kids take turns doing washing and hanging it, and Surreal is the dishwasher with the small boys having to put them away! :D

    Nyssa that thermomix cutter is really nice! you don't have to apologize for using your hands, I don't recall them being invited. I use mine all the time with meat loaf and other meals. your hands are clean anyway. Darryl is a great hubby to jump in and help you when you are busy. I am also blessed with my hubby as well. I hope you get a lot of sales,I am broke but I will spread the word for you.TFS!!!!

      I use my hands a lot, I know people would prefer you didn't on videos of food though, and I know that's their issues not mine hehe, but in the end, my kitchen my food etc :D

    You do a wonderful job doing product reviews, more companies need to reach out to you with their products, especially since you're totally off grid and able to use their items easily with less of. Power source. Your Zucchini bake looks amazing too , only thing I would add would be Jalapeno peppers or Cowboy candy and cheddar cheese for myself.. I know you're the only one that can eat cheese/dairy.. hopefully other companies can see your awesome videos and send more goodies for you to make reviews on .. congratulations on your attachment, you definitely earned it with all your wonderful videos

    • @OurSmallFootprint
      @OurSmallFootprint  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I considered cowboy candy! I wasn't sure though, and this batch was mainly for the kids so I stuck to the basics! I have used dairy free cheese in it before too, but its an expensive addition when they're pretty happy to eat it as is lol.
      If people want to buy Thermomix's or the cutters they can through me, so in a way I have the potential to earn by sharing these hehe, and I do only like to review stuff I like, like I wouldn't give a false positive review lol! so that would be hard! :D

    Loving how real you are! My favorite lines are always - "because I can" 😂 for example- I had sour cream on mine because I had it from the hamper, and because I can 🤣 - enjoy your amazing journey. It may not have started by choice but I assure you millions of us would love to have the strength, guts & courage to say screw it and just jump in!

    Thanks for showing how the cutter works I have heard people talking about them but never seen one in action looking forward to seeing the potato bake. I hate using the mandoline every time I use it I feel like I’m about to loose a finger 😂

    • @OurSmallFootprint
      @OurSmallFootprint  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't even have a mandoline any more, just too dangerous lol, I just cut by hand, which hey, I have good knife skills, but is still slow and inconsistent hehe.

    3. Why would anyone care if anyone used their hands on cooking? For bother to comment?

    Thanks for sharing, that new cutter is impossible to get lol I’m really looking forward to getting it….eventually! I didn’t know that you’re a consultant, when it’s time to upgrade my 5 to the 6 I’ll send you an email. I know they just started the trade in program but my 5 still has a lot of life left. The black anniversary 6 is stunning, almost bought it so I can run 2 at the same time but decided to wait.

    • @OurSmallFootprint
      @OurSmallFootprint  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They had a special promotion recently where we could offer it to new sales on a very limited basis it looks like it’s super hard to get still! They’re actually offering the black as a trade up option still atm, I think that pushed a lot of people over the line lol.
      I liked my 5, but I preferred my 31 over my 5, but I LOVE my 6, the upgrades they did between 5 and 6, so woethwhile!

    Have you tried liming your eggs to preserve them for winter?

    • @OurSmallFootprint
      @OurSmallFootprint  ปีที่แล้ว

      Generally speaking it doesn’t get so cold here that we stop getting eggs, so even in winter we still get a decent amount! We actually have the most issues at the moment because the ambient temp is so high that the eggs start developing even just sitting on the bench lol

    That slicer looks great, I need a new thermomix

    • @OurSmallFootprint
      @OurSmallFootprint  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's definitely a handy tool to add onto an already handy tool! I like that it doesn't dirty the bowl to use so you can still use the bowl, so like when I do potato bake I can slice all the potato then take it out and cook the sauce in the thermomix while I layer the potato, I like that idea! lol. I am loving the new TM6 too, I really didn't think I needed to upgrade, but I'm glad I did!
