Love the Cube, dont love cleaning those mats though.. i made my own bucket trommel that sits on the cube, but also can be used for dry classifying , or used as a high banker w sluice box ect.. i always enjoy your videos...
Just got my gold cube and it clearly says NOT to use soap with it in the directions for use. It does say to clean the mats with soap to remove grease. The reason is that it submerges the gold so floating gold should not be an issue. Will soap hurt the process? Doubtful.
I am curious on what part of country you are in... Looks like AZ, I am in Southern California and we have similar ground. I was going to get the Mini Max Sluice by Keene but this thing looks awesome. Do you get gold in your area? Powered gold or nuggets ?
@@GoldFeverAdventures Cool man, Yuma? Im in Imperial. Just getting into the prospecting. I have always wanted to and my good friend got me started now hooked. I think I will go with the Keene gold sluice because of price.
Hi Jack, love my GF trommel had it for nearly 12 months now. I was wondering if you have noticed that there is a build up of material under the barrel gear? I have directed a constant water flow under mine to wash away material that builds up there. I have heard of some other people having the same issue. Cheers Robert Aust'
@GoldFeverAdventures for the slick tray is it pre drilled or do it yourself . I was just wondering ,I've got the 4 tray gold cube . I like the newer version of the trommel over the older version .
I have that set up plus a dream mat tray in the cube, love it but we use a much bigger set up now so my gold fox and cube set up is for sale ready to go. in wickenburg AZ. $1,000
I ran a cube in Alaska with super rich cons. It loaded up with gold than dumped a lot of flake and foil gold and pickers. I would like to see some 1 run a gold cube with actual gold not just fly poop. Like say 10-20 ounces in 5 buckets of heavy cons. Not this light top dirt i see in all the youtube vids. I still trust the old spiral wheel slower but you can watch it working and tune it and stack them 3 deep 1 feeding the other. I will do more testing with the cube.
Never run larger than a 1/4" through trommel. Reason being, the larger stones will clog up the trommel and you will lose gold. Better yet 1/4" concentrate works best! I tried running larger concentrates last year and found that my Gold Cube Trommel (Holes) plugged up. Then I concentrated down to 1/4" and added another Unit (5) units all with small to larger Dream Mats (Lower 4 units) and catch all fine gold to smaller nuggets. It took lots of testing to get it correct.
Yep i trust spiral wheels the old metal type. I feel the cube needs real miners testing it not the weekender with fly poop. The cube 4 me shat gold out as fast as i put it in. It only catches fly poop not flaky or foil or bb type gold. I see you moded urs i was thinking about doing what u did stacking more cubes with actual riffle mats but in the end isnt that just a super over priced sluice box?
Thats quite a combination Jack😃🤙 Thats what I would call "Double Trouble"💯 Real nice, thanks for sharing👍
What a blast fam. Great job getting that Au. Keep on having fun and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
I like the extra little diverter tray at the bottom. 👍⛏️
Cool rig! Great video Jack!
I would want a screen up top on the hopper to get rid of bigger rocks.which I think they make for the gold cube for fist size rocks or bigger.
I bought one just before summer hit only used it once but really love how well it works time to get back out to the claim and wear it out.

We also have a sprat hose to clean out the trays. It works much better than splashing water on the trays.
Nice hair cut by the way.👍
I cant get enough outta my GOLD CUBE--Just a dream to operate and clean

David and I have always used Jet Dry to scrub down the mats. Never thought about using dish soap. Is there a reason why you use dish soap?
No reason. It was handy.
how about an SOS Pad or use steel wool with soap?

Maybe increase the water flow or lower the angle a tad.
Good luck.
Hi Jack, Thanks for your reply, I will give your suggestions a try.@@GoldFeverAdventures
Come to Africa a lot in river banks
thanks Jack
Just curiosity on the new version trommel was the holes pre drilled or did you have to do drill them yourself?
They were pre drilled

@@jimtaylor6930 you have to drill out the slick plate but it shoes you how
@GoldFeverAdventures ok thank you on both replies
Gold fox never has enough in stock.they don't have any backpack now with batteries or any other sluices except the expensive ones only
They sell a lot I know.

you shoiuld have tested the top of the cube the piece attached to trommel.
That’s just a slick plate. No mats
