We had the thermostat go bad in our office. I picked up the cheapest digital non programable thermostat from Menards locally here in Springfield Missouri for about 17 Bucks' I found it on Amazon for about 21 dollars and it still was about the cheapest digital thermostat I could find. It is a great brand (Honeywell). The digital display is easy to read. Simple controls. Easy to use. I will say this does not work with electric baseboard heat, heat pumps with backup... or multi stage heating / cooling. This is just a Simple thermostat for a simple system.
Great for seniors, great for apartments, simple design doesn't get bogged down with all of the fancy controls... it just works.

Not sure about this specific units, but the other slightly higher models if you read the owners manual it tells you to press and hold the up and down arrows for a second or two and it lets you change settings. I believe setting "5" changes between C and F. The owners manual has all the info.

      @@mmawasylla9887 What do you mean?
You press the arrows and it goes to "SET" which is what you want the temp to be.
After that it returns to what the thermostat is reading the current temperature is. It should continue to run until it reads the number you set, then turn off (I believe about +/- 2 degrees F)
NOTE-- if you have one of the more advanced models that has programming built in (ie you need to set day/time) you might be in program mode. There should be a button called "HOLD" press that and it disables the programming feature, making it work like above (you press the up/down arrows and it "SETS" the temp, then returns to the actual temperature reading after a second or two)

The guy put the cheapest thermostat in and now the fan works, but not cooling. So sorry I dealt with him! He gives people a bad name, men who are in heating and air conditioning!!! Had another guy come out and he said he rigged it up wrong he had it rigged up to heat gas and this is all electric house. Finally found a real man to fix it! Such idiots out there! My Mother always said if you are not going to do it right Dont bother doing it! Some people men and women have no work ethics!
