@Panos Xaitagian - the next Golden Five was Blackmore on lead guitar, Ronnie James Dio lead vocals, Tony Carey on keyboards, Cozy Powell on his double bass drum kit and Jimmy Bain on bass guitar forming Rainbow after DP broke up - their Rising album is fakking brilliant!

This and Stormbringer are probably my favourite Deep Purple and gives a nod to both Ian Gillan and David Coverdale's stint with the band. That being said the beginning of Child In Time Ian Gillan's vocals give me chills.

And, growing up with both "Made in Japan" AND "Made in Europe", I also fell in LOVE 💕 with The Voice of The Singer of "You Fool No One!" 😊 on that Amazing Live Album!, David Q. Coverdale, VIII 😳 😊--with that Deep, Rich, And Wonderfully **Soulful Voice!** 😊
I also Enjoy and Highly Recommend Deep Purple's 🟣💜 studio album, "Burn!" 👏 👏 👏
... with the only Caveat with All of this being that I Usually Can't Stand Glenn Hughes's Screaming voice.
For example, when David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes sing duets--with Glenn Hughes taking the high voice--I AM ALMOST ALWAYS **GREATLY ANNOYED BY HUGHES'S SCREAMING!** 😡

Totally mesmerized, I sat at the bottom of that staircase, getting goosebumps from a song for the first time...I was 6 years old, and that was almost 40 years ago. Still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. I'm forever grateful to my brother for passing down his knowledge of all things great, especially his kick-ass taste in music.

Can you remember, remember my name?
As I flow through your life
A thousand oceans I have flown
Oh, and cold, cold spirits of ice
    Ah, ah, all my life
I am the echo of your past
I am returning, the echo of a point in time
    And distant faces shine
A thousand warriors I have known
Oh, and laughing as the spirits appear
    All, all your life
    Shadows of another day
If you hear me talking on the wind
    You've got to understand
    We must remain
    Perfect strangers
I know I must remain inside this silent well of sorrow
A strand of silver hanging through the sky
    Touching more than you see
The voice of ages in your mind
Oh, is aching with the dead of the night
    Oh, precious life
Your tears are lost in falling rain
And if you hear me talking on the wind
    You've got to understand
    We must remain
    Perfect strangers

This song represents the ethics of quantum communications adapted to our terms at the point of time of creation of that song. Your mission if you choose to accept it is to make your own, any involvement will be denied, the message will self destruct at the proper time to let you exit the room while waiting for sufficient resources to meet acceptable requirements, at that point any outcome is enough… 3:47

53 and I love the fact I was 8 when the king died and found out from my dad he had a really old 78 collection of shit like Elvis 78 release of thats all right and slim Whitman so from 77-81 I started listening to all fifties artists then just before he died I got into the beatles and then just before he died in 81 a friend had the diary album and that's all it took to get a 12-14old into everything from nugent Cooper cream Jimi zep sabbath yes purple rainbow to motley ozzy wasp tallica megadeth maiden u2 and then came the nineties which was kinda dull musical time except of course for the two woodstocks but still had aic soundgarden white zombie Manson maybe but after that stopped listening to much if the new scenes after the nineties but since I have TH-cam alot of good music is being made and the older vands as well as the new are really come out with some kick ass jams thinking the next ten years will definitely be ODE TO ROCK

I was intruded to hard rock at the age of 14 by a friend who found "In Rock" in his older brother's record collection. It blew me away, and changed my life forever.
I was unbelievably excited to hear that the MkII lineup was reforming in 1983-84 and I was at Knebworth to see them in 1985. I saw them play a number more times at Wembley, the Brixton Academy in '93, and then Jones Beach in 2002, and three times on their farewell tour at Bristow, VA, Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA, and was pleased to be able to take my 11 year old daughter to the Atlanta show in 2018. ... But they were never the same after Ritchie left.

Everything about this song speaks masterpiece. It's 2021. I remember hearing it on FM radio, when it first came out in 1984, and I was blown away by the sheer quality of the lyrics, Ian Gillian's singing, the sound and production, Jon's iconic keyboard intro, and the band's overall musicianship. Technically, sonically, and conceptually, this is a brilliant piece of music, and it is my favorite Deep Purple song of all time.

As I flow through your life
A thousand oceans I have flown
    And cold spirits of ice
    All my life
I am the echo of your past
I am returning the echo of a point in time
    Distant faces shine
A thousand warriors I have known
And laughing as the spirits appear
    All your life
    Shadows of another day
And if you hear me talking on the wind
    You've got to understand
    We must remain
    Perfect strangers
I know I must remain inside this silent well of sorrow
A strand of silver hanging through the sky
    Touching more than you see
The voice of ages in your mind
Is aching with the dead of the night
Precious life (your tears are lost in
    Falling rain)

They were the epitome of 70’s British rock stars. I mean, it’s cool to imagine they are your own little cult band or something but “Live in Japan” was the biggest selling live album ever at the time it came out. Don’t worry, folks. @@everydaylife1885 I remember working in a drum shop (as a guitar player) and we'd play DVDs in the background to entice newbies. On one of those DVDs was Paice doing a solo later in his career and the interviewer basically made your point of him being overlooked a bit. At some point, Paice said that he didn't even really consider himself a drummer, which I thought was odd considering how he seems so comfortable behind the instrument and can obviously play. I took it to mean that he does his thing, but might not be as versatile and capable to switch genres like you see other more schooled drummers do. Might also be that English modesty. Great drummer, but perhaps that's why he gets overlooked compared to a Ginger Baker or Peart or whoever else is really technical.
