Romeo had all the resources needed to become the next huge rap star. he still did his thing and transitioned into other ventures. An early 2000s staple!

I’m inclined to believe that that’s the fault of his father’s. I haven’t heard P speak on his career, but he’s such a diy kind of guy that I feel like that had something to do with it.
Nawl lol I like his song my baby and his shoe on Nickelodeon nd all but his was never meant to be a superstar like bow wow. If the public don't take 2 u then a team ain't gon be able to fix that
Romeo was an artist of the era, especially as a teen rapper, nothing more, nothing less. Honestly, if Romeo had a super producer like Bow Wow had JD, his music career would've fared better, but he's doing well on the acting side. Also, him not falling into a "child-star-turned-crazy" troupe and maturing gracefully as he got older make a lot of people respect him.
@@DJBlack909 I don't know. How do we know they can put together a great song for someone that's underage in comparison to rappers on the label that's 21 and up? Sonically, it has to sound good and be age appropriate at that time. JD had a formula that worked with Bow Wow and Kriss Kross.
I love your work bro,me and my brother have conversations like your videos about why artists fall off and how to maintain a career all the time.Your videos speak volumes about the intricacies of the record business.as a suggestion you should do Charli Baltimore in your next video🙏
The thing that people got to understand is...... There could only be 1 king kid rapper & that was Lil Bow Wow. Lil J didn't have a chance Lil Bow Wow and Lil Romeo were pitted against each other there was a lot of ego between the two kids Had Lil Bow Wow and Lil Romeo collaborated, like the original plan was, originally Lil Bow Wow was suppose to feature on Lil Romeo's first album, then I believe Lil Romeo would've had a more successful career. So because Lil Romeo's rap career was tanking the fix to patch up his social legitimacy was to switch him from rapper to actor and that's why they put him on television
Don't forget about I said ICDC College ICDC college I'm so ICDC college ICDC College college. Lol even though it wasn't a single or on any of his albums it's still a great catchy tune. Romeo should've went further in his rap career.
Look man let’s just keep it a buck. Romeo was NEVER destined for greatness. Respectfully…at least not musically. He just reaped the benefits of his father, being one of the most important CEOs in hip-hop history, and the fact people were trying to capitalize off of the Lil Bow Wow craze at the time. But he was never destined to have any long-term success in music.
I thought that Romeo was going to be on the same level as Bow Wow. You should do the hip-hop group that opened the flood gates for teen rappers next which is Kris Kross.
Naw the problem was Lil Bow Wow..... Truly Lil Bow Wow had a serious ego issue he wanted to shine independently as the only child rap star. He waited patiently for Kriss Kross to retire so he could takeover Lil Romeo represented a threat he snatched away the attention and stardom Lil Bow Wow wanted for himself Honestly Lil Romeo didn't have beef with Lil Bow Wow, Romeo was open to collaboration he actually wanted Bow Wow on his first album Eventually Lil Romeo lyrically fought back from all of Bow's disses & it became a 2 way beef but Lil Bow Wow was extremely egotistical
He LITERALLY was the Bronny James of rap in the 2000s I was a big fan of Romeo as a kid because his music was for just that. KIDS! It was about school, playing ball 🏀, wearing new clothes and chasing girls. Life of a young boy growing up couldn’t have been explained better. His first 2 albums used to spin in my PlayStation all day.
I never thought Romeo Miller was that guy or had that high of a potential when it comes surviving the music when you age. For example bow to me had high AF POTENTIAL regardless of what anyone has to say his Flow has a kid was incredible and his acting is Leagues ahead of Romeo Miller with all due respect.
I agree. Bow Wow always had the charisma and the flow to carry the music. Romeo was cute but the music wasn't really close to the quality of what the other kid/teen stars were doing.
Yea it wasn't cuz he was pushed by his father as a kid artist and couldn't transition to making hot music as an adult. He fell off cuz his father wouldn't let him sell his body. Right 🙄🙄
Romeo wasn’t being managed proper that’s all obviously with Bow Wow present it wasn’t gonna be easy for Romeo but with the Nickelodeon deal having the Romeo Show if Romeo had a better team Romeo could’ve been Michael B. Jordan before Michael B. Jordan
It was the beef with Lil Bow Wow that damaged Lil Romeo's rap career. At the end of the day when the music industry penned them against each other it created a situation where the public had to choose and Lil Bow Wow even had adults choosing him Lil Romeo was likeable just by kids I believe if Lil Bow Wow and Lil Romeo collaborated it would've helped Lil Romeo's career as a rapper So why Lil Romeo's rap career was insufficient was partially over the beef with Lil Bow Wow & partially because Lil Romeo was more marketed to kids contrast to Lil Bow Wow who was more marketed to adults
@@Kali0790I agree for the same reason when Bow Wow started building a friendship with Aaron Carter in Arron early career Nickelodeon started having Bow Wow at every Kids Choice Wards and Teen Nick started playing his videos I could definitely see Lil Romeo building a friendship with Bow Wow and Jermaine Dupri working with Lil Romeo that probably would’ve elevated Romeo career
I think the real issue was that he was basically the no limit records answer to Bow Wow. For better or for worse; bow wow had a more organic it factor, tying into your credibility/ nepotism point
He wasn't destined for greatness. I love prime No Limit, but the label was losing steam fast at that point and no one took Romeo seriously. Kids rapping were and probably always will be a novelty and no one was interested in his raps once he grew up.
Romeo didn’t improve … when he was a little kid it was cute however as he became a teen his music sounded bad … while Bow Wow continued to get better throughout the 2000s
Because he was wack. Romeo been crying broke. His daddy took his money to pay his taxes. Once Romeo realized they were broke the cocky attitude died. He tried to play nice guy but it was too late. He alienated friends, associates, etc. Wack 100 exposed master p as being broke. Renting a home in LA
Lil boosie just basically became famous and noted for his funny antics on social media and being on vlad tv alot but the main reason is his cases and health i think
Romeo Miller was in movies, TV shows and reality shows like Growing Up Hip Hop. His famous father, Master P, and his famous uncles, Silkk The Shocker and C-Murder, is the reason he even launch a rap career. I don’t who was buying his music back then, so I wasn’t. I heard Bow Wow way more than his annoying music that nobody was hearing. He runs No Limit Forever and I bet Beats By The Pound won’t ever come back to work for P again. No Limit Forever will never have the same success his dad had on No Limit Records during the 90s. That won’t happen because he treating his peers like crap and refuse to return their phone calls. No wonder why Angela Simmons and Boogie Dash don’t mess with him because he treats them like crap. JoJo Simmons don’t even like him either because he’s a fake dude. The only people that like him is his own family and Lil Eazy E and that’s it
Interesting. He came out when No Limit had already fallen off, respectfully. By then, I done already moved on. No love lost though. I'm still a huge No Limit fan.
Does everybody have stunted growth? I mean cmon bruh….lil romeo? Show me where he had the potential to be anything else than what he was. The only reason he was a rapper was because of his pops.
