@hitek9too255 word. I moved to st Louis with my father back in 98 as a teenager. I knew nothing about the place and we stayed in the city on the Southside. First time being in a place that I thought was wild like newark nj. They put me on a lot of game out there though and they changed my perspective in a good way. I just hung out with my father out there a few weeks ago and it doesnt seem like anything has changed.

I’m from New Orleans, but stayed in Cleveland a few years…The hoods looked just like N.O except the houses were 2 story doubles and ours are 1 story, and the streets are wider….That area around Union before Kinsman looks just like the 9th ward in N.O

I’m from Cleveland. I used to get my car washed at the same spot as KRAYZIE and Layzie. The biggest difference is the weather and the gangs, other than that CLEVELAND and Cali are almost one in the same. When I finally made it to Crenshaw and Slauson for the first time, it reminded me of being on Kinsman.

I want to see BTNH do music with everyone literally. All five members. The next two years of these guys lives should be dedicated to doing at least 200 songs with every producer and artist that also crosses genres. BTNH change my life forever and I only want the best from these LEGENDS. It always frustrates me when they don’t connect with other artists. I don’t care for politics. I just want the best rap group to ever exist (BTNH) to keep making those tunes that reach your soul.

it’s funny because I grew up off of E. 105 in between St. Clair & Superior. I know exactly what you’re talking about, I lived on the other side of you going towards Parkwood [E. 110]. Most of us were from 10-5 (X-V) back in the day. Once you crossed E. 108, you was either 10-5 or Parkwood, it wasn’t a choice, you had to pick a side 🤣. It’s funny because once Bloods, Crips & Folks hit the area depending on who you were connected to you could go to other neighborhoods in the area and move a lil “different”. But, yeah I left Cleveland in 03’. I’ve visited a few times since. I tell people outside of Ohio, that Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati & Toledo are different worlds compared to the rest of Ohio.

No it’s not. Most of Cleveland leans towards southern culture and music. In the mid nineties Cali was a big influence though. And Cleveland people either sound proper or country. Western Pennsylvania has a more Cali accent that’s why Wiz Khalifa sounds just like them.

There was actually a blood and Crip fight at the theater in Tower city when menace came out but when the south took over hip-hop that Cali influence went away and most people in Cleveland got roots in the south just like the blacks in California so it’s all the same

clevelandwill never die, east cleveland was once Irish north of the track and italians southof the tracks, and while that is still a very different experience, there's a lot of different history here. people learn to be tough here. once things spread out for us white people, going all over the west suburbs and leaving the city and state in generral, especially irish families like mine, we grew to hate each other, not stick up for each other, and without family you have nothing. My brother killed himself years ago, my aunt died of alcoholism, my grandfather beat his family, my grandma on that side is as tough and as tight lipped as it gets (we don't talk about our problems). yet my mom is oneof the nastiest people I know, and my aunt is as crazy as it gets. you have to be tough to survive there and especialy to make it through all of that baggage without going crazy yourself.
