It’s a lot quicker if you take the cap off of the reservoir, then suck all the fluid out, and replace it with new fluid before you start pumping and draining.

We do that in future videos, definitely saves a lot of time (and editing!)
Thanks for advice, we love the motorcycle community and are always looking to improve the videos, plus share what we learned.

Why did you not bleed the pumps!?!?!
You have only done half the job..

      Because you don’t have to.

@@thagingerninjer5391 of course you need to bleed the pumps otherwise the fluid goes stale and will damage seals

Don't need to open bleed nipples so far.. Only crack them so you can feel the lever bottom out. And as said previously your over tightening the nipples. Only need to be nipped up...

@@motorcyclemaintenancechann2131 So why does the service book say that the abs pump is also venting?

You apply too much torque to the bleed valves.
    It is 6 - 10 Nm. ☝🏿🧐

Why would you have to bleed anything, if you never let air in the system?

@@thagingerninjer5391 Brake fluid should be changed every 2 years as standard maintenance. Plus as he says near the beginning, it's hydrophilic. So, over time brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air, which leads to decreased effectiveness in the braking process. It also helps fight corrosion. If you've ever seen really old brake fluid you'll know it gets pretty nasty and sludgy. This your brakes we're talking about. Seriously not something you want to take chances with.

@@stuie2112 what the fuck does all that shit I already know have to do with bleeding the brakes? You don’t have to bleed the brakes because you replaced the fluid. I do it once a year on four different bikes.
