I’ve been waiting for you to do Bodom. One of the best heavy bands of all time. You knock it out of the ballpark here.

Henkka is always overlooked on this band but he carries so much of the pulse of the overall groove!

I heard everytime i die as soon as it was released due to my brother liking CoB, i was like 12 or something, i was hooked right then, was the heaviest i had heard until then, my brother introduced me to power metal and such before, dream evil, hammerfall to name a few. Had heard a few heavy songs but nothing that got me into the UMPF mode, but everytime i die i felt had that, then i listened to more and i couldn't stop listening to them, kept listening to them to this day and i will continue until for some reason it gets removed completely from internet, my computer and my CD's get destroyed!
Also this was when ztv was the shit on tv, damn i miss old channles that played actual good music, fun/good shows and had movie nights (friday/saturday evening).

So much agree! Always loved Bodom, one of my favs since my teenage years and the one band I always watched when they came. There will never be anyone close to what they did in their style, so unique. They'll always live among my mix references for all the reasons you stated. Also aside from Warrel Dane, Alexi is the second celebrity death I've ever been sad about

I was introduced to metal/rock some time ago and since my friends are very capable musicians it was mostly prog metal because it's technically impressive I guess, but I felt I lacked the foundational "love" for metall to appreciate prog. As I'm someone who listens to R&B lol. But I started my own journey and found my place with Killswitch Engange, In Flames, Children of Bodom, and so on. This song stood out to me. One of my most played songs since then.

I hate scooped Guitars because guitar is not a bass... it's just self indulgent guitarists playing in their homes without bassists that came with the tone because it reminds them of what the tone will be in the album WITH bass... but any engineer worth their salt knows that guitars are in the mid range and bass handles the bottom end.

I have to disagree with you on the "best" metal bass tone. The bass on "The More Things Change" by Machine Head is one of the best bass tones ever recorded.
