    In this video I react to 3 songs by Children of Bodom: Kissing the Shadows, Are you dead yet? and Downfall live.
    Sit back relax, grab a beer and lets jam.

      The funny thing is, they went recording the album with prepared songs, but the album was too short so they came up with Kissing the Shadows (one of their best) right in the studio to make the album longer. :D Crazy guys! The best metal band ever! RIP Alexi! ❤

    You know the story in Are You Dead Yet is actually straight from Alexi's life, and one of the strongest texts of CoB, and the story behind it also explains why he has used a car as a solo riser on stage after that.

    Ha ha! Everything in these days goes so quick like your developement in metal scene. When i was young everything was going realy fast tempo. New records came out all the time, but that time only computers were Commodore 64 and made for playing simple games.
    But like i said we had to wait new albums to come and that time we could only listen those albums we already have so we listened every albums tens or hundreds of times. Now you find almost everything from youtube and spotify.
    Ofcourse song writing was different that time. If you made album it was mostly under somekind of theme or some kind of line of similarity. Now people listens music like one peace from here and from there. So as a musican you don´t have to limit your songs for one album to be one whole package. You can take more relaxed attitude and let your mind blow as creating where ever you want. Ofcourse older fans like me would be little bit annoid becouse old habbit that when album comes out you listen to it wrom begining to the end wef times to adjust all the songs and the whole album so it could be little bit more difficult to swallow.

    • @TheAdventuresofTNT
      @TheAdventuresofTNT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve noticed this as well. I listen to music slowly. Yet, when people request band songs they request them from all over their catalogs, so sometimes there’s thematic continuity issues.

    • @ArchieArpeggio
      @ArchieArpeggio 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheAdventuresofTNT That´s good thing. When i was young kid and started to listen music it was about 1988. Great albims had appeard. From Metallica Justice came out, Anthrax released State of euphoria and -87 came Iron Maiden Seventh son, Testament, Megadeth, Guns n´ Roses, Ozzy and so many more just got them albums out that time. That was realy great time to start listen to metal. Then i grew little bit up and started to go to the beginning of the all and started from Black Sabbath & AC/DC and started to climb up. It was great journey that wont ever stop. I have about 700-800 physical records at my shelves and those are just the "good ones". If idon´t like some reckord i don´t buy it. And there are at leest hundred or two out there that i would buy if possible.
      There is just something so satisfying to put old CD or LP on the player and start listening. Whole different thing than go to Spotify i push play from the screen.

      Eh he analyzed it decently enough, the song its more about self hatred than outright suicide (unless drinking yourself to death with reckless abandon counts as suicide) or even people projecting what they hate of themselves on others. But I do agree Alexi's pengame on the early material is very hit or miss ESPECIALLY compared to their excelent musical composition.
